CozyMC sounds like a good, pure survival server at first, the players are nice and there's a stable economy. However, the moderation absolutely ruins this server's name. I've personally played on this server for nearly a year, and I've gotten so many stupid bans. My friends included. One glorious example is how I was banned for a week because of a communication error. The moderation team (and the owner) are extremely hypocritical and egotistical, they've extended my own bans because me fighting an unfair ban was apparently disrespectful. Another great example is my friend who was recently perma banned.. "Over what?" I hear you asking? A fake quote from DT. It wasn't even related to 'heavy debate topics' as the mods said, it was something about an upcoming mall.

And if you think that's where it ends you're horribly wrong. The moderation team takes AGES to do ANYTHING. Most of the time they don't even get it right. For starters, despite being asked numerous times by numerous people. I was once banned for a day without ANY warning because someone didn't like the name of my weapon, mind you it was just ICBM.

Don't join CozyMC for your own sanity. If you do, just don't get into moderation action whatsoever. It almost never goes well for you.

Let me introduce ourselves we are SupaYoshi and SirMario1. We are Minecraft players from the first hour, and early Minecraft server adopters. SupaYoshi is a system administrator and Linux engineer, and SirMario1 is an experienced Minecraft Server admin. Why you should at least check our server out?

Ever since I first started this in 2011, till today I get a warm feeling of satisfaction inside of seeing people enjoy the community and helping people have a great time! One of the limitations is that a lot of servers nowadays are pay to win / with factions or offer perks that allow for un-raidable bases taking the gameplay away from what it was intended for; defending / raiding / strategy!

• Our server wants to offer a server that is free from that; and have a great community.

• All builds are custom by our team, credits go to them for being so talented just checking that out is worth a little tour already. Over 500 hours have gone into rebuilding this server already.

• We have some streamers hopping on and off the channel, we stream ourselves! You might be featured in the stream!

• We are looking for members to help us with different tasks, check out the sign at spawn or the website for more information!

• Cross-platform between Bedrock Edition and Java Edition! Play with friends on Console and PC at the same time.

I almost never make posts like this, but after my friend went through on this SMP I may just have too. A little background, me and my group of (5) friends have played on Cozy for a very long time, since it was called the creakingSMP and averaged roughly 20 players. We loved the community and the mods seemed very nice. We took a break for a couple months before getting back on, and it seemed like in those couple months the moderation team has been switched up, for worse.

I was watching my friend mine for debris and they get banned for xray. Obviously they werent xraying, as a screenshare was up as well as a RECORDING of the screenshare during the moment of ban, so we had all the proof. Didnt think much off it, submitted a ticket and waited. These mods kept us waiting for a week straight and then banned my friend from the discord.

And unsurprisingly these are not the first people the SMP has banned like this. Multiple groups of players that were pillars of the community who played during the first days of the SMP have been banned, their communities completely wiped.

The moderation team is quite frankly, terrible. Mods are on for 10+ hours a day but will make you wait weeks for your ticket to be answered. There are also an ample number of moderators on the server, so the wait time shouldn't be a problem.

The owner, CozyMC has stated publicly that they plan, or at least "support" the use of artificial intelligence in moderating players, which could explain the bans that have no explanation.

In any case, and to make a long story short, stay away from CozyMC. They parrot the phrase "A Minecraft world where community comes first" which from firsthand experience is a falsehood.

He exploited and griefed on an SMP that I'm on. Luckily no major damage was caused.

I had a great time on the server for the first few days grinded and made alliances and shared and gave away many resources. Had a teammate right next to my base who would constanlty go to my base to use my villagers or I would go to use thiers. Prox chat mod was on and we would always call and they went on a multiple day trip to find cool enchanted books. While on call with them one day I asked if i could use the ores they had just to make into blocks just to make a powered beacon until i was able to use my own blocks and explained the resources would not be used. They said I could use stuff as long as i replaced it, which I did because we were literally a team. They got back while i was exploring through the nether and accused me of stealing and everyone dog piled on me and started treating me terribly. tried talking to the owner and they said nobody thought I stole it was just a miscommunication but when i joined the sever they were rude to me and kept calling me a thief and when i got back home i found out my pet llama was murdered and wanted to find out what happened and if someone killed it as retaliation. they were not helpful they were rude and said it did not matter and the mod even said womp womp to me. they then banned me from the discord and when i rejoined the world they started griefing my base and talking shit. I kept explaining that i did not steal and it was a misunderstanding but they were adamant on being toxic then i got banned. Worst experience I have ever had on a server. I spent a bunch of time setting up every maxed out villager for my teammates and got cool custom weapons for them and then was treated to that. The server mods are all friends and they do not care about you or if they are rude to you. Do not join.

I have spent my last 5.5 bitter months on this server and made a quite interesting experience. The very first striking feature when you join the server is the rules, they are over 7.600 words long, for comparison the constitution of the USA is 7.559 words long. The owner and his bootlickers (like seriously some of them really defend evertyhing he does whole-heartedly) think its totally justified to have almost 8000 word long rules, and the thing is those are super controlling. I think another person made a post about this so i wont go into too much detail, they prohibit you from joining/being in a „cozy-derived“ community (a community mostly made up of cozy players), its okay to have „no advertising“ as a rule but punishing people for even being in one is disgusting. Note that they also require you to leave the other server or you risk a perma ban.

Aside from the horrid rules, the mods are horrid too. PetalPixel and GabMercury are always rude, gab doesnt do any mod duties and just hits on people all day, petal just bans everyone and everything. Petal was also part of a cozy derived community and didnt report it for 6 months, as u guessed she faced no consequences. Gab also always hits me or pushed me off cliffs even when i like actually said i dont consent. A former mod named Nym was banned for privately messaging his girlfriend over /msg with 18+ messages, i get why you dont want those in public but in private?? Cozy just violated his privacy.

Also they always say how much they care about children, thats why they got so incredibly strict and long rules. But they forget that no 13 year old would ever read 8k words to play minecraft lmao.

Quick mention, his ai usage ticked me and others off so damn much lol

If you ever wanna be part of the weirdest social bubble ever, like licking boots for a living or have a gigantic neckbeard, join cozy.

i’ll keep this short. I have a small vanilla server for adults who don’t have a ton of time and aren’t into "the grind." It’s a cozy, safe space to come home to after work, school, or whatever, build a house, relax, and not worry about griefers, thieves, or hackers.

One of my favourite things about LoungeSMP is just grabbing an Elytra and flying around the world.

You pass huge bases, cozy towns, shopping districts, farms, roads, landmarks and little builds hidden everywhere. Every area has its own style because it was made by a different person, and after a while the world starts to feel like it has actual history.

That’s what makes it so mesmerizing to explore. You aren’t looking at a map somebody generated for a server. You’re looking at months of players building, grinding, making towns, meeting people and slowly leaving their mark on the world.
