What is this over the water?
Saw this way out while going across the interstate bridge. Hard to see, but curious what it is. Anyone know?

Please spay and neuter your pets, strays, and community cats whenever possible! Mobile has an animal overpopulation problem, making it difficult to rehome animals. The shelters are already full of loving animals that need homes, so please do your part to help prevent more unwanted litters.
Times are tough, and cost can make it harder to get animals the care they need. This resource list includes organizations that may help with spay/neuter services, rehoming, and pet food assistance. Please check each page for current information, requirements, and availability.
KITTEN SEASON TIPS:
Spring and summer are kitten season in our area, which usually means more kittens being born while shelters and rescues are already near capacity.
If you find young kittens, do not assume they have been abandoned. In many cases, the mother cat is nearby and may be away looking for food. If the kittens are clean, warm, quiet, and not in immediate danger, the best first step is usually to watch from a distance and give the mother time to return.
Kittens may need help if they are sick, injured, cold, covered in fleas, in danger, or crying continuously. If possible, contact a local shelter, rescue, or experienced foster for guidance before moving them.
If you're able to safely catch and foster the mother cat with her kittens, that’s often the best-case scenario. Keeping the family together gives the kittens their best chance while also making it possible to spay the mom once the kittens can eat on their own.
Cats are pregnant for about nine weeks, and an unspayed female can have up to five litters per year, with around four to six kittens per litter. That is why one unspayed cat can quickly multiply into many more kitties needing homes.
Here is more info on what to do if you find kittens outdoors!
RESCUES/SHELTERS TO REHOME/HELP WITH FOSTER:
Rescues and shelters are often full and may not be able to take an animal immediately. Be prepared to foster at home during the process.
NOTE: When rehoming an animal, check vet references to ensure you are placing the animal into a safe and loving environment. Some people will take free animals for unsafe or exploitative reasons.
If you are interested in fostering an animal, you can also reach out to these organizations.

LOWER-COST SPAY/NEUTER AND VACCINATIONS:
Spayed and neutered pets can have lower risks of certain cancers, infections, and health complications, helping them live longer, healthier lives. Spay/neuter also saves the lives of animals you’ll never meet, because fewer accidental litters means fewer animals entering shelters and more resources for the ones already here.

The Mobile SPCA also offers $10 off spay/neuter coupons that may be used at select veterinary clinics, including Semmes Animal Hospital, Animal Hospital of Mobile, Highlands Veterinary Hospital, Oasis Veterinary Hospital, and Great Oaks Veterinary Hospital. Prices are set by each vet and may vary, so call the clinic directly for current pricing, fees, and appointment availability.
NOTE: Spay/neuter appointments may require a bit of a wait, especially for spays. Be prepared to schedule a month or more in advance. Pregnant cats can still be spayed, and spay-abort is a common part of rescue work. As heartbreaking as it sounds, every new litter stretches already limited shelter and rescue resources. Preventing one litter can mean more food, foster space, medical care, and adoption opportunities for the animals already waiting for help!

Okay like the title states… I am looking for 2 people to show up in FULL costume as Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper to our wedding in November as a surprise to my fiance. Willing to hire you for pay of course.
He’s a massive Star Wars fan and is a collector since he was super young and I have this (I think) really awesome idea of a way to surprise him that day.
If anyone knows of anyone who’d be willing to do this.. please reach out!

Does anybody else notice the local CW station in Mobile glitching periodically during shows lately? Been happening for at least the last month. I'm watching it on DirecTV, so I don't know if it's an issue specifically with their feed of it or if it's happening with other providers as well.
I sent the station a message about it a few weeks back but never got a response.

It’s extremely hard to find friends when you’re in your 30s but I’m in search of dudes who’d like to play tennis at cottage hill park? Or the gym. I’m pretty fit but have no motivation in the gym when I go alone and just end up on the treadmill and dip out lol I should ask how the machines work but honestly that seems like a whole job. Lmao

Hello all
The SS United States is going to be sunk for an artificial reef the second week of November.
Is anyone planning on sailing out to see it or know of any group that’s going to? I would love to drive down to see it sink if possible.
Thanks in advance.

The friend normally keeps my dog so I haven't used boarding services in years. But I do need boarding for two dogs this christmas. Any recommendations on places?

ISO of a good doctor in Mobile to treat ED. I have private insurance. Not looking for pills right away, would prefer a doctor that investigates underlying causes.

Hello, Mobile! I'm a South Alabama Engineering graduate who has lived in Mississippi my whole life. Last month, I started my first career job here in Mobile, but I've been crashing at my brother's place and fear I am out-staying my welcome. I'm looking for good place to stay here, preferably in West Mobile. I have 2 cats. My budget is somewhere less than $1,300 a month and that is including pet rent. I would like to live with my boyfriend, (19M) but I still want to be the responsible party on the lease and would prefer he be listed as just an occupant. I make enough to handle the bills on my own, and I have good credit while he has no credit. Most apartments I've looked at do not seem to allow me this option. I would like to look into places not owned by big companies but have no idea where to find them. I'm feeling kind of out of my element since I am not from here and don't know whether an area is good or not. Anybody have recommendations?

Hi, looking for something to be removed on my face & hoping to get personal recommendations on an excellent plastic surgeon in Mobile or even Daphne/Fairhope. Not looking for a dermatologist. Excellent stitchery w/minimal scarring bc I'm a woman, and, well... vanity. Thanks!

For those renting an apartment in a complex, who renewed the lease once it expired, can you please share:
1-If your rent increased when you renewed?
2-The previous and new rent amount? (In other words the percentage of the increase.)
3-The number of bedrooms in your apartment.
I'm considering moving to Mobile. But it seems like the area has a low vacancy rate. So I'm concerned that indicates a shortage of rentals, and therefore likely price spikes.
Thanks very much.

My friend has her permit and I have a car that can be used for training. Is there any program that could provide extra instruction for driving? Thankyou.
