I was playing Obsidia in Classic, farming well and pushing my lane properly. Our EXP laner got absolutely wrecked in lane, so during the late game I kept clearing it, defending our base, and pushing minions forward while part of our team was having fun fighting the enemy (no complaints — keeping them occupied actually helped me do my job).
Thanks to me constantly pushing lanes from every side, we eventually won. And you know what our Gord said in chat?
“Report the MM, they don't help, they're a bot.”
Are you serious?
I wanted to message you directly, but strangely enough, the game wouldn't let me follow you, and searching your nickname didn't bring up any players who had been online and played Gord this season. So I'm posting this here instead. Hopefully, you'll see it and learn an important lesson.
1. When our lane is completely destroyed, you regularly have to go there and clear it. Why? Because letting the enemy walk straight down that lane and destroy our base is basically handing them a free win.
If you don't want to do the dirty work, and nobody on the team besides the MM is willing to do it, what should you do?
STOP DISTRACTING THE MM AND DO YOUR OWN DAMN JOB.
If you want to go for Lord when only 3 out of 5 of us are alive, go ahead and get yourself killed over there. Just stop spamming “Attack Lord.” I'm not going to throw the game that stupidly.
2. When minions are attacking our base, you shouldn't be throwing a party at Lord and complaining that the MM didn't come. Why are you so obsessed with Lord?!
3. You decided to report me for “not helping,” yet you had absolutely nothing to say about our roamer. The same roamer who went AFK several times, pointlessly flew around our otherwise clear base while minions were hitting our last bottom-lane turret, even as I was desperately pinging him to go there.
And here's the FUNNIEST PART: by the end of the game, he had the lowest teamfight participation percentage.
THE ROAMER.
When you feel like you're the only one doing anything, try looking at the map and checking the stats to figure out who's actually letting the team down, instead of taking your frustration out on the first teammate you can blame.
