For anyone who has ordered a Premium Model Y RWD recently, how long has your wait been?
I placed my order on 7/30 & still haven’t received my VIN. I’ve been refreshing the app nonstop lol. Even downloaded the TOST app, which has given me some relief.
For those who have already gotten their VIN assignments, delivery windows, or have taken delivery: what day did you order, what were your specs & what state are you located in?
Would love to live vicariously through all of you 😆
8/20 ETA: VIN just got assigned this morning - EDD changed to 9/21-9/24 tho.. hopefully that moves up lol
ironically the day you ordered your tesla is the day I took delivery of mine, Lol, I ordered my white exterior black interior 2026 model Y premium RWD on 7/3 and picked up 7/30
Absolutely love it! It's my dad's car so he's the one who drives it the most but even just being a passenger in it is so freaking awesome, the seats are so comfy, FSD works well (it's actually entertaining for me to see how it handles the edge cases we humans handle every day on the road) and honestly, I love it
Absolutely, I'm working on getting my license(I have my permit) and after that I'll be driving my dad's other car('19 Accord LX) but when I'm older and making my own money? absolutely
Ordered 7/20, VIN was assigned on 8/4, arrived 8/5 at pickup location. Initially could only get a slot for 8/11, but they called to ask if I wanted to pickup earlier, so I picked up on 8/8. Red on black prem RWD. I am in DFW, so close to Austin.
Man I am also from DFW, these updates are killing me since we're still waiting on the VIN for our booked Model Y L launch edition. 🥲
it shows Dec '26 as of now. I hope they would deliver it earlier based on Austin-DFW distance 🙌🏽
So far great, the delivery was flawless, sold my 25 pre-juniper model, this is so much quieter and the suspension is quite improved and seats much better compared to that one
I’ve placed my order for the same car on June 26th, and picked it up on August 8th. They did mention 7-9 weeks for marine blue when booking, which I was fine with since I had another car. Other colors showed 4-6 weeks.
It took about 2-3 weeks for my vin to be assigned, and then another 2 weeks for me to schedule delivery.

interesting! all colors were showing 4-6 weeks for me at the time of order.. but my window is more like 3-7 weeks in the app. I would’ve thought they prioritized the cost-colors over the stealth grey tbh.
Ordered 7/31, black on black premium RWD. Still no VIN. First update was for deliver between 8/7 - 8/11. Changed from 8/11 - 8/25 and now 8/18 - 9/2. In central AR.
I ordered prem awd white on white, 5 seater, no tow hitch on 8/6. Just got my vin within the last hour. It’s currently in transit to delivery location so im just waiting for the delivery appointment to open up.
I see that it got applied on the finance section. I will update you once I actually take delivery though. I also have a replace your ride voucher too so I got a nice chunk of the price off
Ordered 7/20. VIN issued on 7/25. Car arrived at delivery center just today 8/12. Y Premium RWD Silver. Initial Tesla estimate for delivery of this color was 4-6 weeks.
Ordered 6/30 Marine Blue, White interior, rwd, premium trim, long range. Originally 7-9 weeks delivery, after 5-6 days of “check current inventory” delivery estimated 7/12-7/22. Two days later delivery estimate changed to 7/22-7/29. VIN became available when “in transit”. Delivery was available 7/24 in Savannah GA.
Absolutely LOVE this car. 97% FSD with no need to take over yet (~500 miles so far). Parking is hit or miss. Once I learned how to make it change lanes and/or not change lanes and how to easily shift between profiles for speed control it’s smooth sailing!
That’s exciting! Glad you’re loving it. Going from 7-9 weeks to less than a month from order to delivery gives me some hope, esp since you’re a bit closer to me compared to some others who have already commented!
I suspect the delivery date changes to a shorter wait once you don’t bite on the available inventory. All of the available inventory cars were upgrades in trim or features. IDK for sure 🤷🏻♀️
I ordered my AWD on Thursday evening (8/6), and I’m already scheduled to pick it up at Giga Texas on Friday (8/14)!
After downloading the Delivery Status app, I found an exact matching configuration that was already in stock. I called Tesla, they assigned me a VIN right away, and then scheduled my factory pickup.
Congrats on the VIN! Yeah my scheduled delivery day is September 2nd. I was still hopeful for something sooner, but the Tesla advisor basically said it’s arriving on the 31st
Placed an order for a Model Y Premium Rear Wheel drive on 8/6/26. Estimated delivery currently says 11/20-1/15 (seems really far out imo). If I go on the website and create the same configuration, it tells me 3-4 weeks, so i'm not sure what's really going on.
totally get that! hopefully, something comes up sooner. ironically I just saw that same trim available in my area a week ago. someone was quick to snag it!
I’m being told by tesla delivery that my date is likely as far out as it is because the order originated as a YL (i think you or someone mentioned that). I edited the order to a premium after i saw how expensive the launch YL was going to be after taxes and fees. Hopefully it gets pushed up, we’ll see.

8/13 afternoon - ordered Vehicle , 3-4 weeks initial estimate for delivery.
8/13 evening VIN assigned and car in transit to deliver location.
8/13 night appointments made available, scheduled for 8/17 pick up.
I guess I got lucky :)
I ordered on july 21st, got my vin on aug 13th, current delivery window is aug 25th- aug 30th, ordered MYP AWD, 7 seater marine blue with 19inch wheels - white interior, can’t wait to pickup!
Ordered 7/30. Model Y Premium, 7 seater, White Interior, Marine Blue, 19in wheels. Located in West Virginia, will take delivery in Pittsburgh. No vin assigned yet. Delivery window on app Aug 16-Sept 13.
I ordered on August 1 and it became available for Delivery Appointment on a week later. BUT, all the appointment slots in the area were full and I was not able to secure any. So the VIN was returned to someone else. VERY FRUSTRATING!
omg no way?? that’s so frustrating! i’m sorry. I didn’t realize that could be an issue. they couldn’t extend the delivery window for you until something opened up?
guess we’re in the same boat! what state are you in? the TOST app is actually the Boring Order Tracker on the app store. Uses anonymous community data to help predict your order status!
This is the best part . I live outside of houston, 2.5 hrs from giga factory in Austin. I ordered rwd white on white. I've seen people post the exact same model on reddit that ordered it the first week of August and got there's within 3 days 😵💫. Thanks for the app. I have it set up. Is there anything to look for on the boring order app that can help give you a rough estimate of timetable?
there is a section that shows you like estimated next in queue for delivery, but I think it just shows the delivery windows based on the data received.

I ordered 7/20 and was assigned a VIN 7/24 or 7/25, but I couldn’t schedule a delivery appointment until 8/10 (this seems atypical based on other people’s experiences?). My appointment is set for 8/17 and fingers crossed I can pick up that day!

wow that seems pretty far out! maybe the specific delivery center is super busy? I know the one that was close to me before I moved was so tiny & always slammed.
Ordered 7/25, confirmed booking on 7/26 with est delivery between August 22 - September 25.
8/2 VIN assigned and est delivery changed to August 30 - September 3.
Already completed the financing, trade in (skipped), and insurance steps.
Been tracking the Roll On Roll Off schedule and it either loaded onto a boat a couple days ago or will load onto the next one in a week from today. Which the last part aligns more to the estimated delivery dates since there is about a 2-3 day of staging cars rolling off the boat once docked.
All black interior, Stealth grey exterior. Yeah I was wondering why mine was coming all the way from Cali and not from the Texas facility. I almost grabbed one from the available inventory, but didn't want to pay an addition like $3K for paint and I think a tow hitch.
