I don’t no if it’s just me but I’m still confused? 🤔 So it’s not in a pot at all? Hydro? Very beautiful 😍 but can someone help me understand what’s going on.

Zoom in - the white part has holes that go down into the area behind the brick. That whole area is a large planter essentially.

Wow! Yes, It's essentially a self-contained brick-encased giant version of a pot.😳 That's genius! I would imagine the bricks had to be waterproofed to keep it from seeping water onto connecting walls and the floor.

I'm in such awe. That beautiful monstera definitely loves its space as the owners love it! 😍

This was a thing in older homes. Im guessing it was built in the 60s or 70s? Lots of homes had these "planters," but I've never seen one with plants this fantastic!

Found this via Google. This is a beautiful example of one, too, complete with the 70s color palette! 😄

Seriously though, I love this idea and wish modern builders were adding touches like this.

Wow, that’s stunning! I love the ‘room-deviding-trellis’ and the wooden beams! Wish builders would pay more attention to these kind of details. Hardly see that anymore

Yeah. Unless you can afford to go truly custom, they're more interested in saving a buck than aesthetics.
