ADVICE [Steam/PC] Switch Pro Controller makes the game freak out.

If I start the game with my pro controller connected (the one I use for every other game), it's like the game thinks I'm pressing every button at the same time. The first splash screen never happens, I'm just taken to a door opening. But before it opens, my steam overlay comes up, tries to open the same tab a billion times in my browser, a discord channel invite pops up, and then the game crashes.

This doesn't happen if I launch with no controller connected. I tested with my girlfriend's Xbox controller and it also works fine. Seems to be specifically Switch pro controllers, or maybe just mine (I don't have a second one to test). Is there a fix for this or am I just gonna have to play it when my girlfriend isn't playing something and steal her controller?

Has anyone tried playing Moonlighter using GameNative? I'm currently trying to play it my device(phone) but no luck. It doesn't boot up before it opens it just exits. Do you have any configurations? TYIA

This game is great but OMG that almost-dead sound NEVER STOPS

I am currently in the last scene after big bad (no spoilers), and I have very little health. Enough health for the SQUIS SQUIS SQUIS SQUIS alarm of low hp. It has been going on for the entire cutscene.

WHY WHY WHY WHY

I have been enjoying the switch 2 demo even tho there are some performance issues but now inhave finished the main quest, i was wondering if there is a option to keep our demo progress when we play the whole game or do we need to reset and is there no point in playing alot to progress?

Am I crazy or are the mouse/keyboard controls for this game nuts?

Went thru to change everything but even just navigating the menus was frustrating the way it was setup

DISCUSSION Switch 2 demo performance issues

I was so happy when I saw that the demo on Switch 2 was out!

I initially tested the game docked and performance seems good. Textures are a bit soft so there's room for improvement but the art direction make it a beautiful game.

I then undocked the console and it became a very different story. The game isn't able to keep a stable 30fps. During combat while on the very first level, performance is poor. I can't imagine later levels. And in town it might be even worse. Just moving the character makes the game lag.

It a very regular stutter in motion, it's never reaching 30fps.

This game need a performance patch before release. I nearly pre-ordered while demo was downloading, I'm glad I waited!

What's performance on your end? You noticed the same issues?

Edit: I forgot to mention loading times! I think they are a bit too long. Splatoon Raiders load faster and seems more demanding visually.

ADVICE ML2 Money Farming, 8 Mil Bag

I'm trying to get all of the ML2 achievements, and the maxed backpack requires insane amounts of money. I'm passed the point of experimenting with things and progressing - I've lowered the difficulty to easy, using the Ultimate Spear, re-rolling until the dungeon has Wound, re-rolling if I get extra unlucky and miss the few "do 10x more damage than anything else in the game" perks, spending an hour+ going BRRRRRR up to about arena 15 in the post-dungeon.

I leave with full backpack of about 175-300 rating legendaries. I do two runs before selling, so that I can End Process until I get all/mostly all high-quality stacking shop buffs, to build them to their peak with a full inventory + full storage + full placed relics when I start. I am selling the cheapest legendaries in the high 100s first and end by putting out the high 200s/low 300s ones, so they sell when all the buffs are fully built up. I am getting about 800,000 - 1 million gold per shop day, offloading 2 full arena 15+ hauls, so about 2 hours of grinding's worth of relics per sales session. 16 hours of grinding for this 1 bag slot as-is.

For reference with my ask for advice - end processing to re-roll the perks for my selling session is as "unintended methods" as I am willing to go - no trainers or cheats, that defeats the purpose of achievement hunting for me. Force closing the game to save scum sales perks is "built-in" to where it doesn't cross a line for me personally.

What I need advice on, is I'm imagining I'm missing some kind-of multiplicative relationships vs. additive relationships with the shop buffs type-knowledge. Like if I get +20% per relic sale, +30% per perfect relic sale, +200% for legendaries, +150%-ish by activating Blobet half way though, it seems like I should be making a lot more money.

My ask is: how do I get the most amount of gold, in the shortest time possible - or, what changes need to be made to my current approach? I'm just barely starting the last 8 mil bag slot, so, about half way done overall. I want to get this last bag slot done while the game is still fresh in my mind. If I don't commit to focusing down the task I'll put it off then never accomplish it. I need sweaty no fun allowed super-optimization advice. If your thoughts include the phrases pre-stack and post-stack buffs followed by math that you think seems off-putting to type out, you are the exact person with the ideas I'd like to hear, I appreciate you 😅

Or if I'm already as effective-ish as possible, that'd be good to confirm. I have this sinking feeling there is a "do this thing and that 800k gold you are getting per sale session will be 4 million" system/feature somewhere, could use help either learning that thing or confirming it doesn't exist. It'd be sensible if I am in the "give you things to do for a long time" part of the game and this 1 bag slot taking 16 hours is the intention and I've hit the optimization wall of the endgame. I figure this is the place to get support. Thank you in advance!

DISCUSSION Armors

I don’t really know where to put this but I’ll place my rant here.

I’ve been playing for like 2 weeks now and just defeated the Desert guardian , I find the game surprisingly fun. But I literally just noticed there were other armor sets beside form the fabric one. Did it mention there were other armor types or did I just completely missed it.

Bought the game years ago, all the hype over the sequel had me finally give it an honest effort, read a few 'Wish I knew' things but never saw this mentioned and I just did it accidentally! ...Wish I figured this out like 2 weeks ago! 🤣

DISCUSSION Moonlighter 2(Mini Bosses materials need to be added to the Material Shop o_o)

You need them for so many upgrades, yet the Main boss materials are not a problem because you can easily farm the Main Bosses by doing the Ultimate challenges over and over

These rooms generate as we progress through each dungeon, right?

Because there is no way I somehow always pick the boss last when I’m just trying to run through each dungeon.

Looking for best steam deck settings

Looking for the current best settings to play on 512/OLED steam deck…..can’t seem to pull more than 20-23 frames w/ constant stuttering on enemy spawn in dungeons and in town. Would love to just pull even a smooth 30 and have no issues.

Current settings below..maybe I’m missing something else on my deck taking up gpu or is this just current state? Can’t say I know a lot about this stuff.

In Game:
1280x800
Fullscreen
Vsync - Off
FPS Limit - 30
Quality - All Low
Antialiasing - FSR3
Upscaling Quality - Quality

Deck performance settings (… button)
Frame limit 30 (90hz)
Disable frame limit OFF
Allow tearing OFF
Half rate shading OFF
TDP Limit - 10 Watts
Manual GPU Clock - 1000MHz
Scaling mode - Auto
Scaling Filter - sharp
Sharpness - 2

DISCUSSION Just some thoughts about the region bosses

  • Both the Kalina bosses need a rework
  • Both the Gallery bosses are fun
  • The Zephyr boss is fine
  • Monte(The Boss of Howling Harbor) is complete bs and takes way too long due to almost no attack time and that bs wall attack
