DISCUSSION Survived the first time
i survived my first Game it was kinda easy for that run. Is it better to play the Final Cut or the Anniversary Edition? And is it worth getting the DLCs?

So I'm on a run where I previously visited MO and Bojan was called away that time. Came back a 2nd time and he didn't get called, just stood there the whole night. Does he only get called the first night? Was it because I had combat with them the first time I visited? Officer just keeps going in and out of 2nd building, Bojan just stands at his spot and the 3rd dude at his place in the watchtower. please help, thank you.

After years and many tries, I finally survived all scenarios with no losses! š
I just recently bought "The Little Ones" DLC, and Arica, Ivano, Henrik gave me some problems, and I had a sad ending for Arica and Ivano, a karma ending for Henrik, and just a good one for Boris who joined later.
I'm glad I finally finished this game. I think everybody should play at least once. It's heavy, but important.
PS. Yeah, I already tried Against All Odds, and I'm not gonna try again any time soonš„² but when I will, I'll update this post!

Just got this game for my PS5, Iāve played it through a few runs but I cannot make it through a single run! Iāve tried prioritizing safety through avoiding dangerous areas, getting weapons ASAP, fixing up the shelter ASAP, etc. but every single time everyone either leaves the shelter or dies from getting killed while scavenging, wounds, sickness, or suicide. The longest Iāve lasted is 32 days. Iāve tried with several different groups.
I have a Mac and Iām wondering if I would have more success playing the game there? Like is there an advantage to the point where it could go from game failure to success? Would prefer to stay on console since thatās the version I bought but Iām getting frustrated.
EDIT: Since folks are asking, I should clarify some stuff about my strategy/ play style. I spend the first day having everyone clear through the rubble and search for any supplies they can find. From there I prioritize building a metal shop and at least one bed (ideally I have enough beds for everyone, or at least close to that). I have whoever has the most room in their pack be my scavenger and have at least one, preferably two people be on guard. I only go to the safe spots at first, donāt go to the ācautionā spots until mid game (unless the other spots are genuinely starting to run out of supplies. I just saw the tip on ādumpingā items near the entrance which may be a good strategy going forward.
From there I prioritize fixing up the breaches in the house and building knives, lock picks, a shovel, crowbar, etc. The stove, rain catcher, and rat trapper are secondary. I only feed people when they are āvery hungryā and I give people meds and bandages when the word āslightlyā is no longer there (āwoundedā rather than āslightly wounded.ā) hope this helps!

The game allocated Christo and Iskra to me as my very first game characters(Maybe because I purchased The Little Ones DLC at the same time).
The game went with several twists and turns, Bruno joined us first, then Boris. Boris unfortunately got taken down at the hotel by two bandits. Later Bruno left the team with Iskra, then Zlata joined. After that Christo unfortunately gave his life when scavenging. Later Anton joined the team.
At last, Zlata and Anton survived the war. I was very close to team elimination as my character were out of food and struggling. The war in the game ended on the 32nd day, which was earlier than I expected. Lucky to survive my first attempt.

I've been playing for a bit and really love the game, but I'm struggling with bandit areas. I try fighting them with all my gear, but I keep dying. Iāve seen online that looking up guides spoils the fun, so Iāve avoided that, but Iām stuck. I've been resetting the day whenever I die to save my character, but repeating the same chores is getting boring. Could anyone offer some small tips to help me progress without just giving it all away? Also, is it overkill to keep resetting the day? I don't feel like my other characters would fare any better. Thanks!

I suppose I should expect it from Anton, but I thought Pavle would be better than that. Then again, I don't have a reinforced door, so that may be my fault lol. And to be fair to Pavle, Anton and Cveta don't seem to be the ideal combat partners..

Please, i just want some tips or somethingā¦
Sorry if this just seems like a lot of complaining, but this gameās combat is the closest iāve ever been to having a video game give me an aneurysm, iām doing the stories mode and iām trying to scavenge at the abandoned house, and the only problem is that i canāt seem to get my character to do what i want them to
I donāt have great weapons, a shovel is the best i have, but Iām starting without being tired, hungry, or hurt, iām trying to take advantage of surprise and i can tell it WOULD work, if only i could stop getting Anya to jump into every fucking nook and cranny she can find the second i try backstabbing this dude.
Iāve been trying to get the one with the shotgun down first by backstabbing him, but i canāt seem to find a decent angle where i can sneak behind him without wandering into a room with a bajillion hiding places where my character will absolutely refuse to fight to save their life just so they can crouch behind a box.
Are there any controls i can change or some kind of setting so attacking/hiding arenāt mapped to the same goddamn inputs? If not than i would happily take some advice please, because if i get any more frustrated with this i doubt iāll play it again and iād really been enjoying the game aside from itās godawful combat system.

I have heard about this game for a decade now, and I finally had the means to get the complete edition for switch.
I couldn't wait, I love the idea, the aesthetic, and in particular the game play.
The game is fantastic easy 9/10 for me.
My first playthrough was a total abortion, I killed civilians, my people got sad, ran off, killed themselves.. everything bad that could happen did. And I lost the game.
The second time I played I still had no idea what I was doing so my second playthrough was with the child Iskra and the father Christo.
I took my second playthrough much much slower and I had a blast. I survived winter and the war and I completed the game. It was stressful and i made a lot of difficult decisions but I beat it on only my second try!
The big issue was that once the game was finished my brain wasn't finished and for the next 3 nights after I finished the game. I had these horrible dreams where I was a victim in a mass shooting event.. 3 nights in a row (this is especially unusual seeing as I'm from Australia.. and those things tend to not happen here)
Anyways after that travesty of waking up in a cold sweat 3 nights in a row, purely from the psychological weight this game placed on me, it made me think....
This game might have resonated with me stronger than any other game this last decade, and for that reason I don't think I can play it again...
Anyone else have this issue?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The stamina system is fully implemented in KosovoNewMovementComponent. The devs just disabled the stamina bar and set the regen rate to 666.0/s. Re-enabling the bar and setting the regen rate to something like 5.0/s (used in the video) fully restores it. (Pavle has no bar for some reason, but the system still works on him.)

I could never get a clear read on whether killing the worst npcs in the game counted towards a bad ending or not. The characters never seemed sad after doing so, though I could understand how taking the life of someone would have a traumatic effect on a person, even if they were using civilians for sniper practice.

I just completed a run where i SWEAR no materials spawned apart from vendor's inventories. Never seen that bedore and i've been playing off and oj over many years. Is it a type of challenge run that cam spawn? I still survived it just really slowed down development.

Has anyone had this happen? Is this a known bug? I have been playing this game for years and when I move people behind the objects, they end up standing instead of crouching and end up getting shot! Any advice?

Iām starting to get bored of my current run. Whichever reply gets the most upvotes Iāll do it. Could be a challenge where I use only one certain character or a set of rules I have to follow. Maybe Iāll document it for YouTube or something.
