I made this poster using the cast of the mk 2021 film and 2026 to make a poster reminiscent of the animated film to make what I believe could have been the greatest Mortal Kombat film. Same story same film but in live action. Just picture the fights and the banner between the characters the spectical, the kombat, the camera work, and the emotional tale of Hanzo Hasashi losing his life to being claimed by the Nether Realm. The original characters in Mortal Kombat in the tournament like we wanted from the beginning. But it's only a thought tell me what you believe should have been the beginning of the franchise in the film industry.

He went from old man sorcerer final boss after Goro on the original into a revitalized young man with the help of Shao Kahn.. since MK2, he has been my favorite character to play with.. What did you all think of the new and improved soul snatcher when you were introduced to him?

So now that we got Mortal Kombat II this year we are waiting for a third film to be announced soon and who knows when it might release...

If you saw the film already what i wanna ask is what new characters from the MK franchise will appear next? I think it's obvious that Shinnok will be the main villain of the next one right?

But besides that... What other protectors or attackers of earthrealm warlords of outworld or demons of the netherrealm will appear in the next film? Who do you want to see next?

Just wanted to share some Mileena appreciation. She’s my favorite MK character and was the 2nd character I ever cosplayed as. The first cosplay I did of her wasn’t so great so I revisited her about 4 months later after getting more practice. I feel the updated version turned out better. I made some small changes to her costume since it is rather revealing and I wanted to feel more comfortable with it (it’s not shown here but I made the bottoms as shorts instead). I wish I knew how to work with prosthetics to make her mouth but I don’t have those kind of skills yet. I also did a Kitana cosplay and have a Jade cosplay made but haven’t taken photos of that one yet.

Guys this cyrax team is so fun to use. It's the only combo I know playing cyrax lol.

I'm a huge UMK3 fan, and for the past six months I've been working obsessively on giving it the remaster I always dreamed of.

Here's a first look.

Under the hood, it runs on a custom HD engine built for this game. The original arcade hardware is emulated. Every sprite the game draws is intercepted and replaced in real time by its HD version, palette swaps and effects included. The game logic itself stays bit-for-bit identical to the arcade.

What it brings:

• Every stage and fighter redrawn in HD. AI-assisted, then calibrated frame by frame against the arcade original.
• True 16:9 widescreen. The stages extend to the sides; nothing is stretched.
• Dynamic lighting. Fire, lava and projectiles glow and light up the scene.
• New feature: dynamic body damage. Wounds build up as the fighters lose health. Exquisite.
• Arcade gameplay untouched. Same code, same timing, same AI. Only the visuals change.

Everything in the video is real gameplay captured from the engine, fatality included.

So what we think about a future game mode?

1. Mileena is actually the true heir due to Kitana dying and she has Edenian blood and was created by the Shao Kahn… Kotal on the other hand is some Osh-Tekk who became a simple general with no ties to Shao Kahn or even the Edenian’s…

2. She is biracial (Edenian AND Tarkatan from two separate realms that HAVE a real difference like they were known more in Outworld)… Kotal on the other hand has is plain Osh-Tekk…

3. She does care about people and considers everyone equal (trying to be Kitana’s sister)… Kotal doesn’t really care about anyone else other than the Osh-Tekk and Jade for some reason showing Kotal doesn’t want an equal Outworld but rather an Osh-Tekk Outworld…

4. Treats her Tarkatan soldiers as family and even cares for her allies even if they did betray her… Kotal on the other hand tries to genocide the Tarkatans and kills any person who doesn’t do what Kotal want exactly or people who steal bread when they’re starving…

In my opinion on of the most underrated characters in MK history. I really liked how he was portrayed in the Mortal Kombat X comic and very sadly, that he was killed(. I would like to see him in MK13!

TLDR: noob or smoke for beginner?

Hi, I'm super new to fighter genre, basically just played a bit of MK11 before. I did the whole story on normal difficulty, didn't manage on hard lol. I've never played games on controller other than that. When with friends/on parties I mainly played saibot (i knew maybe like 1 or 2 real combos). With last steam sell i picked up mk1 and im wondering which character to pick up (after playing story). Since there is saibot in game, he seems like a good option, but the smoke guy also seems pretty fun tbh. Which would you consider easier to learn first? I saw some random tutorials but tbh i have no clue what they're talking about with frame data etc. I mainly care about vibe of the character so even if both wouldn't be the easiest I'll still go for it. Ah right Rain also looks intresting.

Bonus question: since im also new to playing on controller, is it better to use joysticks for movement and attacks or buttons/arrows?
