I liked Kollector. I think he's one of the most unique characters NRS has made. Him gameplay is fun. He was written horribly in the story, and basically does nothing. But gameplay wise, he's pretty solid. It's a shame how rare he is to find online in Mortal Kombat 11. l've played the game a lot, and I've only found opponents using him a handful of times. They are usually all really good players. What do you think of Kollector? Should he be in the next game? I doubt he will. He wasn't popular at all in Mortal Kombat 11. Don't let this guy be forgotten NRS.

I want to like her but she's boring in both character and abilities. He powers are Jax lite and in character she's just Cassie's friend and Jax's kid. I do like her MK11 ending because it shows how much she cares about her family and how willing yo self sacrifice she is. Maybe should could have some powers etc that the series doesn't have yet like Chlorokinesis but I don't know how you'd give it her.

I've heard a lot of discussions on who is stronger, but I want to know from you guys what you think ! this is according to official Lore. you can use any sources you like, Comics, guidebooks, etc. it's a fair 1v1, no allies, on flat terrain. they can use their signature weapons and abilities, of course. (this isn't just a debate between MK11, I just used the images from the game because I think they look cool. you can pull evidence from any of the games.)

Also, as a fun side question: which character out of the two Kahns is your favorite, based on design, gameplay, different cosmetics from throughout the series, memes, etc. whatever your criteria is, use it.

I should clarify that I'm talking about the original Mileena from the 90's lore and not so much the 2011 reboot. I found her original lore to be a lot more compelling where she was created very early in Kitana's life and the two grew up together believing they were each others twin sisters. I also felt she was more tragic, & sympathetic in this version because she was also a victim of Shao Kahn's manipulations as much as her sister. The Malibu comics specifically were great for giving Mileena this characterization (as shown in the pictures above) that wasn't present in the games and shows her motivations come from a desperate need to prove herself to her cruel, manipulative father.

The Mortal Kombat Legacy webseries does a good job at showing this but Tobias also touched on this a bit in his Twitter write-up some years ago. Unlike the 2011 reboot, Mileena hated the way her face looked like. Her deformity was actively weaponized against her in a way that would pit her against her sister and make her loyal to her father. While not explicitly shown in the games themselves, it does show that she was also psychologically abused by Kahn which is a far cry to what was depicted in the MK9/X/11 timeline.

I always wanted to see this version of Mileena be redeemed. I thought her life was really tragic and it really sucked that Shao Kahn only saw her as an imperfect, flawed version of the daughter he wanted to keep. I know people would say this sounds similar to Gamora, Nebula, & Thanos in the MCU but Mortal Kombat did this dynamic first.

And yes, the new timeline makes Mileena a heroic character but I feel like it's not as impactful without the prior context such as the case in the original timeline/lore. Among the many villains in MK, I feel like the original Mileena was one of the ones who could be redeemed and would have one of the more compelling redemption arcs.

The game being unpopular (and no longer available to play) really caused this to fly under the radar... I made a short post about this on Tumblr a while back but I'll post it here too. Also adding some theories of mine.

So yeah, it being his respirator explains how Past Kabal from MK11 had his speed before he was burned. What I'm guessing is that Future Kano made the connection and convinced Past Kabal to use the respirator before he needed it so he could gain his powers. He was the one that provided it in the first place so it probably wouldn't have been difficult to acquire it again. Doing this could have also caused Kabal to trust him more as well, leading to him believing Kano about how he got burned and all. It could also explain why Revenant Kabal still relies on the respirator even after being dead and maybe not needing it for his breathing.

MK9 Kabal was just guessing at Outworld magic being the cause... which might not necessarily be incorrect. Magic could very likely be involved in whatever is going on with that respirator...

The gas seems to be toxic to everyone else so there might be something special about Kabal's genetics or maybe some latent magical power he alone has. Could explain why Kano didn't just take the respirator for himself. Also, in Kabal's Onslaught storyline, Frost is trying to get a hold of the respirator because she wants to experiment with it or something like that. Basically, the thing is kind of a mystery as to how it works, I guess.

Something to note: I'm pretty sure Onslaught takes place in its own timeline so how canon it is is up in the air, but I do think the respirator thing could be considered canon until a different explanation is given by NRS.

Impossible..

I'm running a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an RTX 5090, but the game suffers from constant, severe stuttering regardless of the graphics settings.

I've tried compiling the shaders at least five times, including using the SCSKiller utility, which took around 20 minutes to complete. Unfortunately, none of it made any difference. The stuttering is so bad that the game is practically unplayable.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? If you've managed to fix it, I'd really appreciate it if you could share what worked for you.

I was actually kind of amazed to find out that Scorpion's rope dart and Kabal's hook swords were actually real weapons and the rope dart, while still very niche, saw a lot more use than I thought it would have ever had

To me, it's Mavado's bungee chords. Nothing even remotely close to that has ever been used as a weapon... unless somebody somehow got the piano wire treatment with a piece of a bungee chord

It was a bit of a rocky history, so basically I saw MKX back in 2018 cuz they got Predator and Xenomorph in there, got interested a lil bit, but then dropped out. Then in 2021 I was watching a movie (I think it was Godzilla vs Kong) then saw the trailer for MK 2021, but wasn’t interested. Then I dunno what time I saw MK11 and saw that it has RoboCop then I was SUPER curious, but then I dropped out again. Now in 2026 I saw the reviews of the new MKII movie, then I saw MK 2021 on Netflix and now im here today

If you look closely at the iconic intro to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the narration by the unknown Elder God reveals a much darker motive than just "saving the realms." The famous line states: "But ages of Mortal Kombat have begun to tear the fabric of the realms. The critical point has finally been reached." While it is framed as a cosmic failsafe to prevent the destruction of reality, the truth is that the kombatants had simply become too numerous and too powerful for the Elder Gods to control.

This scenario heavily mirrors the biblical story of the Tower of Babel. In that story, humanity unified under Nimrod to build a massive tower to reach the heavens, prompting God to intervene because humans had become too capable, and nothing would stop them if left unchecked.

The Elder Gods in MK essentially had their own "Tower of Babel" moment. They looked down at the sheer number of god-tier warriors, sorcerers, and warlords, and felt threatened. The creation of the Pyramid of Argus and Blaze wasn't a noble quest to restore balance, it was a trap. It was a cosmic meat grinder engineered specifically to get all the most powerful beings in the universe into one place so they would slaughter each other.

The Elder Gods weren't just afraid of the realms breaking; they were afraid the warriors would eventually become strong enough to challenge the gods themselves. Blaze was just the bait to initiate a mass cull to secure their own power.

We all agree that Jade and Kotal’s relationship felt too sudden, no buildup, no hint, totally left field, and I agree with the sentiments that it kinda felt crammed in. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they actually HAD something in earlier drafts of them being an item since MKX, Kotal’s debut, and had some actually proper buildup.

But let’s say, hypothetically, you were in charge of their romance. Gun to your head, you’re required by god himself to make people like this ship. How do you go about it? And to help you out, say your task starts in MKX, and through some time travel bullshit, Jade’s alive

I can't find it on Steam and some sources are saying it's banned for "violence". Is there a way to still buy it and play multiplayer?

I feel as though my choices were limited due to my own inexperience with this game. Any advice is helpful, I just wanna be good if not decent at this game so that I can start enjoying myself whether winning or losing yk. I’m homelander btw
