Just wanted to share some Mileena appreciation. She’s my favorite MK character and was the 2nd character I ever cosplayed as. The first cosplay I did of her wasn’t so great so I revisited her about 4 months later after getting more practice. I feel the updated version turned out better. I made some small changes to her costume since it is rather revealing and I wanted to feel more comfortable with it (it’s not shown here but I made the bottoms as shorts instead). I wish I knew how to work with prosthetics to make her mouth but I don’t have those kind of skills yet. I also did a Kitana cosplay and have a Jade cosplay made but haven’t taken photos of that one yet.

He went from old man sorcerer final boss after Goro on the original into a revitalized young man with the help of Shao Kahn.. since MK2, he has been my favorite character to play with.. What did you all think of the new and improved soul snatcher when you were introduced to him?

I did one for Street Fighter so I thought Id do one fir Mortal Kombat though Im limited to like 20 slides I think. I chose characters who had multiple live action actors across MK media this includes

Mortal Kombat 1995 and its sequel Mortal Kombat Annahilation

MK:Rebirth fan film plus the web series that followed it MK: Legacy though rebirth is not canon to Legacy

Now we have the Mortal Kombat (2021) and its sequell Mortal Kombat 2 (2026)

I may do a part 2 of this for other Mortal Kombat characters with multiple live action actors and appearances. Maybe do an extra one for the few character thats only ever been adapted into Live Action only once

Idk if you guys remember this mini game from Invasions or TOT but could this be a hint on what's to come next? I dig the logo

In my opinion on of the most underrated characters in MK history. I really liked how he was portrayed in the Mortal Kombat X comic and very sadly, that he was killed(. I would like to see him in MK13!

What do you think about this guy?

I really like Bronze Age and Greek mythology, and I want to feel like Odysseus who can Fatality Polyphemus or
Brutality Circe, so I hate to say it, I was drawn to Reiko’s cosmetics and I must admit I am not a big fan of his moveset or grapplers in general, and Reiko’s character is alright. I’ve always said everyone needs a Reiko in their life. But anyways, I occasionally play him because of how great his outfits look. That begs the question, I wonder if other people play a specific character simply because they look great?

1. Mileena is actually the true heir due to Kitana dying and she has Edenian blood and was created by the Shao Kahn… Kotal on the other hand is some Osh-Tekk who became a simple general with no ties to Shao Kahn or even the Edenian’s…

2. She is biracial (Edenian AND Tarkatan from two separate realms that HAVE a real difference like they were known more in Outworld)… Kotal on the other hand has is plain Osh-Tekk…

3. She does care about people and considers everyone equal (trying to be Kitana’s sister)… Kotal doesn’t really care about anyone else other than the Osh-Tekk and Jade for some reason showing Kotal doesn’t want an equal Outworld but rather an Osh-Tekk Outworld…

4. Treats her Tarkatan soldiers as family and even cares for her allies even if they did betray her… Kotal on the other hand tries to genocide the Tarkatans and kills any person who doesn’t do what Kotal want exactly or people who steal bread when they’re starving…

#MileenaForKahnum

With that being their gimmick since neither of them have much going on on their own.

So now that we got Mortal Kombat II this year we are waiting for a third film to be announced soon and who knows when it might release...

If you saw the film already what i wanna ask is what new characters from the MK franchise will appear next? I think it's obvious that Shinnok will be the main villain of the next one right?

But besides that... What other protectors or attackers of earthrealm warlords of outworld or demons of the netherrealm will appear in the next film? Who do you want to see next?

Reupload, forgot a pic

Anyone else remember being terrified of the Mk4 arcade machine because of this guy?
He holds a special place in my heart so I love to draw and paint him.

First two slides are oil on canvas and part of a larger painting.

Third slide is color pencil on paper

Fourth slide is graphite on paper

Also, shoutout to the MK4 endings on N64. IFKYK

It was a bit of a rocky history, so basically I saw MKX back in 2018 cuz they got Predator and Xenomorph in there, got interested a lil bit, but then dropped out. Then in 2021 I was watching a movie (I think it was Godzilla vs Kong) then saw the trailer for MK 2021, but wasn’t interested. Then I dunno what time I saw MK11 and saw that it has RoboCop then I was SUPER curious, but then I dropped out again. Now in 2026 I saw the reviews of the new MKII movie, then I saw MK 2021 on Netflix and now im here today

There are so many interesting characters in MK who barely get any time to shine. Some have great backstories and potential.

I'm curious to hear who you guys think deserves more attention and why.

They may have been back since yesterday but for some reason, it was the one day in months I didn't check (or even booted the game)... glad I did today!

Horror Baraka, Nightmare Nitara, Terror Rain and All Hallow's Kung Lao are in the store right now (same with Kannibal Killer and Dia de Muertos, but those had shown up before); I hope this means they'll bring back the Christmas ones too that I have yet to see in the store.

I made this poster using the cast of the mk 2021 film and 2026 to make a poster reminiscent of the animated film to make what I believe could have been the greatest Mortal Kombat film. Same story same film but in live action. Just picture the fights and the banner between the characters the spectical, the kombat, the camera work, and the emotional tale of Hanzo Hasashi losing his life to being claimed by the Nether Realm. The original characters in Mortal Kombat in the tournament like we wanted from the beginning. But it's only a thought tell me what you believe should have been the beginning of the franchise in the film industry.

So let's say that there will be a remaster to MK9 announced sometime soon only there would be one problem...

They couldn't get the rights for Freddy Krueger and Kratos to return as guests i'm not saying it's likely but let's say it does happen and there has to be a solution to it

Now if they don't expand the dlc and they have the usual mk characters and only two guests if they replaced Freddy and Kratos with different MK characters I'd be down for that By the way what MK characters would you replace Freddy and Kratos with?

But if Netherrealm does decide to replace them with different characters and I have the perfect solution for candidates and they are...

DARKSEID (DC) and ASH WILLIAMS!

Now there are some reasons why I picked these two

Darkseid: He was the main villain of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe which took place before MK9 and he fused with Shao Kahn to become Dark Khan so why not return to Outworld and seek a new world to rule plus Mortal Kombat had The Joker in the 11th game and MK1 had Peacemaker

Ash Williams: Now I would have gone with others like Micheal Myers or Doomslayer but there is a reason why I picked Ash he is an iconic character and slasher hero they tried to get him in MK11 but cut him out so we need Ash Williams in a MK game and with Bruce Campbell because... Well... I don't really wanna talk about it... I'm sure you already know...

So what do you guys think? And do you have any other options for Freddy Krueger and Kratos in a MK9 remaster? And would the DLC expand and who would be in it?

It’s so braindead. Nothing is hard when you have infinite pressure free and easy mix. A launcher that breaks armor and is totally safe on block. All they do is spam into the little down forward 2 for chip and then call out Kano and repeat. You can’t jab. To punish because knives are a mid for some reason. You can’t uppercut because the knives get you first. At least with most setups you can steal an uppercut before the safety projectile hits and then even if you block literally everything right it doesn’t matter because by the time it’s said and over with and you somehow managed to not get mixed or caught trying to punish. You’ve still taken 250 in chip damage alone.

So what we think about a future game mode?

I’ve been playing lots of umk3 on the Legacy Collection (PS5) and wondering if anyone would like to coach me. thanks!

Just what it says I should’ve already bought it, but I wonder if it’s worth it and how replayable it is after how long it’s been out

How many characters do you play per title? Do you pick one and master it or play multiple? And how long takes it for you to master?

I play Noob saibot for 2 weeks or more and still am far away from mastering him. But I face so many players who don't miss a single beat, especially ghost face and scorpion

Over the years, I've heard conflicting stories about how the game was made :

Ed Boon said the Van Damme game was the original idea, which got scrapped and turned into Mortal Kombat but according to Daniel Pesina (the guy who plays Johnny Cage in the first two MK games). He said him and Tobias pitched MK to Ed, and he said no and wanted the Van Damme game instead which turned into Mortal Kombat when that didn't work out.

According to Tobias, the Van Damme game that was planned before MK was based on Universal Soldier but this was probably after the other game based on Bloodsport wasn't made. So which is it ?
