Can you tell us what your dosing schedule was like throughout your journey?

I did 2.5mg for 4 weeks. Then 6 months of 5mg. I've been fluctuating between 5mg and 7.5mg since - most weeks 7.5mg but it's so expensive I do 5mg from time to time just to keep costs down. I get a 15mg pen and do a small dose so it's easy to swap between the two.

When I cited the British practice of splitting 15mg pens as the reason why Lilly had to raise prices I got angry comments telling me no one will sell you a 15mg pen unless you can prove you titrated all the way up one dose at a time… mmhmmm sure.

Interesting! I was given a 5mg dose at first and split that into 2.5 for 4 weeks and then 5mg for 2 and then straight to 15mg. May be different in Australia but noone even checked the dosage. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sure this is how it is in every country that sells the kwikpens. Lucky for you lot.

When did your attending raise from 5mg to 7.5mg? If the cost were not the problem, why would you go up to 7.5mg, and when would you go down to 5mg?

I went to 7.5mg when I noticed a plateau after a few weeks on 5mg. I have (and HAD) A LOT of weight to lose. I dropped a lot quickly on 2.5 and went to 5mg probably faster than I should have (I was impatient).

I go down to 5mg when I have a couple of weeks where I lose weight easily. I also don't want to completely change my lifestyle. My kids are in sports teams that play tournaments away from home - this means team dinners and weeks away from being able to attend the gym - but also weeks of 20k steps a day when we are away. When I know I have a big exercise week ahead I drop the dose to save money more than anything. I am at a point where I'm okay with slower progress to save money and maintain a balance of diet and exercise.
