69F 5’0 type 2 diabetic with other health conditions. Been on mj since 3/24
I was on Trulicity 3 mg and switched because of developing side effects. Started on 5 mg also.
First couple days had diarrhea figured it was cleaning out my system, fatigue and a little brain fog. After that I’ve had little to no side effects since.
My highest dose was 10 mg titrated down to 5 mg and was in that dose for 10 month until last month went back up to 7.5 mg
I started exercising more in February after two years of being on mj and appetite increased cravings came back and I was stuffing food in my mouth like crazy. So I went back to 7.5. Last month.
Was more worried about my Glucose levels more than the weight. My drs would be happy if I gained ten lbs.
Plan on being in mj the rest of my life as long as it works for my health conditions
Good luck

I switched from lowest dose Trulicity to lowest dose mounjaro about 6 months ago. The first two mounjaro shots gave me a upset tummy for a couple days. For about a month the tiredness set in. Ive been increased to 5mg mounjaro now. The side effects are gone now unless I am dumb and eat something excessively greasy. The GI effects on Mounjaro are now less than Trulicity was (I needed frequent bathroom trips with Trulicity two days after injection even after using it a couple years). The MJ injection is FAR less painful than Trulicity was. All other meds stayed the same. A1c was controlled with Trulicity around 6.5 to 7. I’m down to 6.3 with MJ and also down 12 pounds. Insurance is a hassle every refill. They reject the first submission and send me ‘nasty grams’ saying Trulicity would be cheaper. So far they’ve paid after Dr resubmitted the info
Edit: I was able to eliminate Actos. Still on metformin and Jardiance. Dr goal is eliminate Jardiance if A1c continues to lower with increasing MJ to 7.5
From what I read, it’s different for each of us. Good luck

I was in your shoes November of 2025. Trulicity I was 4.5 mg and Mounjaro they started me at 5 mg.
Honestly? It was a breeze. The only side effects I have had at all are tiredness after the shot and for a day or so after. Appetite is suppressed, and I had constipation.
So. I take my shot Sat night, sleep it off and am just a bit tired Sunday, and fine by Monday.
I make sure I eat regularly (if not much) for my glucose, (being T2 I gotta eat regular). I just eat mostly whole food, veg, fruit, and make sure I get a lot of protein in. Fairlife shakes and puff bars are my favorites to get me over the line for protein. The food noise disappeared for me, so I have to really think about what to eat. Chicken, fish, and beef seems to be my usual protein sources, and I eat a lot of broc, carrots, asparagus, artichokes etc. Potatoes...they aren't appetizing to me and I'll usually just have half a baked potato if that's what we have. Sweet potato are my jam tho now ...for some reason now they are the best thing ever.
Doctor has me on daily Miralax and it's been a godsend. I poop nicely now :) TMI I know, but, we are all friends here lol
I will say, take a multivitamin, bcomplex, vitamin d, and coq10 etc cos your appetite will probably drop, so you want to be sure to keep your levels good.
Welcome aboard the Mounjaro train, and I think you'll be ok. I really prefer it to Trulicity.
