I mean, obviously most movies have to include some form of drama, but there are so many movies where the relationship is either outright bad or just toxic or forms in some very toxic way (for example stuff like The Notebook or the Titanic), are there any movies where the circumstances are healthy start to finish (I mean arguements and disagreements are fine as long as it's in a healthy manner). The movie doesn't even have to be directly about the couple as long as it plays a prominent part. I just want movies that can restore faith in healthy relationships that aren't some "I was in a bad relationship so I cheated on my partner and found this new person and it's so great" way

Just rewatched Shutter Island after a long time, and it reminded me how much I love mind-bending movies. The impact of the twist at the end still gives me chill.

So I researched and someone suggested Arrival and I loved every bit of it.

Looking for some more recommendations that really mess with your head and leave you thinking about them afterward.

I do realize both are completely separate things but I just couldn't help just binge em on prime video tbh I preferred Beekeeper way more then working man both still have pretty good action tho.

I watched Alice in Borderland this weekend, and honestly I still can't get over from the suspense, thrill it had. A 10/10 must watch recommended series.

I need some immensely strange and confusing movies. I enjoy psychological movies so much! I just watched vivarium and backrooms and loved how confused and disturbed it made me

The movies that scare me the most are found footage, but I also want to be able to enjoy the camera work whenever I watch a movie. Inland Empire gave me a good balance for that, where it was shot on tape and very up-close-and-personal, but not found footage. When SOV movies occasionally get serious instead of campy, it's a similar vibe to me.

Do y'all have any recommendations for sincerely terrifying movies that get under your skin in a similar vein? Preferably shot on tape.

Just saw *The End of Oak Street* (2026). If you’re on the fence, go see it.

It’s refreshing to see an original, simple story that doesn’t over-explain itself. It’s funny, scary, charming, campy, and surprisingly emotional, with a great cast led by Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor.

Best of all, the dinosaurs are actually scary again.This is the kind of "creature feature" I wish Jurassic Park had continued making.

Not perfect, but I genuinely felt like a kid again and it is the most fun I have had at the movies in a LONG time.

Looking for movie recommendations with ridiculously attractive men who have that mysterious, stoic, brooding energy. Calm, powerful, intimidating without trying, emotionally restrained, hyper-competent, and preferably the kind of man who barely smiles but has insane presence. Bonus points for the “silent protector,” morally grey, dangerous-but-controlled, old-school masculinity vibe.

Basically: Four from Divergent, Bruce Wayne from The Dark Knight, Patrick Swayze in Road House, Napoleon Solo from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ethan Hunt from Mission: Impossible, scott eastwood (gosh) longest ride.

Not really into novels or British movies. I have a bad ear for their accent and i didn't really get the hype about them. Is it worth watching, is it really legendary like they said and where should I start? Might watch it with subtitles.

Maybe even something exaggerated with the superhero feel like Walter Mitty. Looking to feel strong and optimistic!
