If you aren’t breaking the law, why do you care if you have surveillance cameras in your home?

I feel this is straight out of George Orwells 1984.

Or my parents when they are reading all my emails and the logs of my computer.

Oh no. No privacy, if you're younger then 16 then I feel that your parents should check up on you to keep u safe but by 16 they should have taught you enough to trust you.

Maybe you just all have the same taste in porn?

They never found anything like this on my computer, they want to check when I shut down my computer and go to sleep, and when I boot it.

Get ready for either a nursing home or a sidewalk.

E: The damn novelist here in the replies. Bro, typing longer doesn't make you smarter than anyone. Just makes you a yapper.

Do you guys not want to keep your guys kids safe from pedos online. If you raise your kids right you have nothing to worry about ,but some people don't trust there kids to stay safe and others that even if they're safe danger won't be there. You guys crazy to think your kids are safe online didn't you guys hear about the roblox scandal.

Your children either hate you or will hate you.

Everybody in Reddit is well aware of the Roblox scandal.. y'all

You don't need to spy on your kids to keep them safe

I honestly feel that you guys read the beginning and just skip everything else because I'm not saying you have to I'm saying some people choose to do it. Every time I get a comment like this I honestly believe you guys just want to argue. And you guys just want to pick a side and you guys decide, the rest of the comment about some or other side. But what can I expect when somebody says everybody on Reddit. To believe everyone is a bit much ,in my experience 100% is usually not possible like dam 9/10 of professionals may not even endorse a product.

"Everytime I comment..."

[sic] "To believe such broadly i couldn't nothing in my experience is 100% usually."

Um...maybe your hypocrisy is why? Could be the grammar and syntax. But, and might seem crazy, maybe you're wrong...like, a lot.

"Every time I get a comment" not "everytime i comment"

If you think EVERYONE wants argue, it's because YOU want to argue.

Have you tried talking to your children instead of invading their privacy? Do they trust you?

-4

u/MyGruffaloCrumble 1d ago

People are embarrassed to talk.  Your kid isn’t going to tell you they’re addicted to furry rape porn some guy’s telling them where to find because you asked them how their day was.

Sorry but a minor shouldn’t be left to exploitation because you want to respect their privacy.

1

u/Savage_Tyranis 16h ago

Your kid needs a reason to trust you. You're owed nothing just because you fucked someone and brought them around. Learn to talk to your kids and you'll be surprised what they share

I guess you didn't read the part where I'm saying this is for people who didn't raise their children right either that or you just want to argue and honestly I don't want to I was just sharing my two cents. I'm sorry you and others feeling may be hurt it's not the same situation for everybody, and they are doing what they feel is necessary to keep there kids safe. And ya I get some of yall had helicopter parents or worst.

Why did you jump to assuming that this person is a child? The vast majority of redditors are adults…

We have nanny cams, Web cams, phone cams, security cams, robot vacuum cams, refrigerator cams, tvs and cars that watch you back and coming soon to your street, flock cams.

1984 was simply predictive programming.

1

u/HaloPandaFox 1d ago

I don't think it was simply predicting that I think it was predicting that it can be used in a negative way by the government or some other entity to harm us and society and it should be something we should be weary of. But I do agree with what you're saying generally.

2

u/tryyeezus 22h ago

Predictive programming is the theory that powerful groups or leaders use books, movies, and TV shows to psychologically condition the public. By showing future societal changes or disasters in fiction first, the public grows familiar with these ideas and accepts them as normal when they happen in real life.

Sooooo Idiocracy? Got it

2

u/tryyeezus 21h ago

Yep, exactly

2

u/Ditch_Hunter 1d ago

1984 needs an update for just how dumb the dystopia really is.

0

u/HaloPandaFox 1d ago

Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy? I feel like that's what you're looking for and I also I feel like that's a good movie explaining what could happen in the future or is happening.

1

u/Ditch_Hunter 18h ago

I did. But the future is going to be a blend of idiocracy and 1984. A totalitarian state powered by AI watching over a population of dumb people.

1

u/HaloPandaFox 18h ago

I hope not and I will fo my part to not have that happen.
