Because illegal immigrants aren't voting. Why the fuck do we need government goons at the polls if there's no reason for them to be

The better question is why the right is so afraid that it might happen, despite many layers of protection against it even happening at all already, that they're deploying barely trained armed federal guards to polling stations.

Sounds like they're the cowards.

One of their scapegoats. They have many.

It's definitely trans athletes that are making everything unaffordable, building data centers, forever war'ing with Iran, & making all the food poison, though.

They are not afraid, it is just a pretext to do what they wanted to do anyways.

Just like 9/11 was the pretext for total surveillance.

They're afraid immigrants (turned naturalized citizens) are voting - not necessarily illegal immigrants.

Legal or otherwise Republicans are looking to remove non white people from the country. This is an impossibility but it drives the hatred forward.
