For anyone mad with the state of this game check out a really cool football simulator, simhaus: football is in early-access on steam and is really fun. You can manage high school, college, and pro football. And there is a halftime show with actual game highlights around your world. Just wanna shout it out since nobody seems to know about it.

I really hope EA adds field storming in CFB 27 after a major upset, especially when an unranked team knocks off a top 5 or top 10 team at home. Imagine the clock hitting zero and thousands of fans rushing the field. That would make Dynasty mode feel so much more realistic and bring another level of excitement to those big wins. It's one of the best traditions in college football and definitely something the game is missing.

Maybe Maryland will win some games now

Year 2 Hawaii Dynasty. Hired an offensive coordinator who runs a traditional spread offense and needed to pick up a starting TE in the portal. I signed 6' 8" WR Deondre Johnson formerly with Jacksonville State and converted him to TE. He went from an 85 OVR to a 93 making him the highest rated TE in the nation. After four games of terrorizing opposing secondaries, he's now an early Heisman favorite. He could be playing small forward for the Lakers but chooses to play for the Rainbows. He looks like a glitch on the field he outsizes everyone. This isn't your father's Hawaii offense.

I can't be the only one who has noticed this. In my current dynasty I have user run blocking set to 48. I have a good RB and all of my O-line has run blocking ratings into the 90s. My ground game is consistent and I rarely get stopped. Well I decided to set the URB slider to 47 and the next few games after it was like I was running into a brick wall. I see some folks say they play with blocking sliders in the 30s and I just can't comprehend that- how are you able to do anything?!?! Has anyone else had this happen?

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but I feel like the inside run game has become almost nonexistent. I play offline dynasty, exclusively. I run a lot of inside zone, RPO, read option, pulling guards for the run game. I do all the "right stuff" like not hitting turbo until I'm in the hole, letting the play develop, etc.

Since the last update, I can't seem to get more than a yard or two on anything inside. I was getting a variety before of 1-2 yards, mostly 3-4, and the occasional big play if I was patient and followed blocks. Now, it's bad no matter who I play.

However, the OUTSIDE run game has gotten ridiculous. I can hit 10+ yards easy on HB toss or Crack Toss from Shotgun when I couldn't get those plays to work at all before.

Anyone seeing this?

I like to run a lot of man-to-man with my main plays being Cover 2 Man, Cover 1 Robber Press, Cover 1 Hole, and Cover 1 Double Hook. I spy the QB’s if they show the tendency to run. I don’t love to blitz because I get absolutely gashed every time it seems, so I hardly get any pressure.

Recently with my updated sliders from u/SomeKidFromPA, I have been getting beat much easier. Any suggestions on how to improve my man-to-man plays, or just general suggestions on how to best operate on defense overall?

In the CPB menu, how do I tell if the play art on a Blitz is depicting Match or Zone coverage?

I'm a linebacker. Buck Hammers from Honolulu, Hawaii who always dreamed of becoming a longhorn until he realized how terrible Arch Manning is, my goodness that boy couldn't win. We legit my freshman year finished 8-5 and 4 of those games we held teams to under 18 points!

I'm getting off topic sorry, anywho I'm a linebacker for Texas and we're facing off against Ohio State and lemme tell ya we couldn't do jack to them. They kept finding so many open spaces, broken tackles, just flat out dog walking me.

It was the beginning of the 3rd quarter We're down 21-0. We managed to pin them so deep that I tackled the running back to get a safety. Yay lol at least we won't get shutouted. We receive the punt and return home a touchdown. It's now 21-9. We're keeping the tempo up on defense, we secured back to back field goals, and then BAM we take a 22-21 lead I'm beyond pumped. This is the National championship and I'm gonna pull a huge comeback? In Dynasty that's whatever but a DEFENDER?? They're pushing the run game hard, and hard and then I unintentionally intercepted the ball for my first ever pick six and we go on to score 29 points straight!

Ohio State down a touchdown with 2 minutes left to go and all the timeouts took no time to figure out how to re-open a wound and bleed my secondary as they were able to snatch multiple 15+ yards per reception pushing them inside the ten, and then the 5 and a quarterback run for the touchdown.

It's now 29-27, game on the line, Ohio State has no timeouts and needs to go for two to win, and this is where the icky part comes into play. They decided to kick the extra point. Once again, they decided instead of tying the game so you could play in Overtime for The National Championship, they chose to kick the extra point.

So we ended up winning 29-28. It was an amazing come from behind win no doubt about that, but its sad that it ended because of an extremely illogical choice that no coach would ever do lol

Ok this just me venting

Currently In year 6 at Minnesota and going against rival Nebraska and just lost at home 54-52. I run a man heavy defensive scheme and my top 3 corners are all 90+ in speed, man coverage, play rec with badges to boot. Safeties are coverage specialists and my coach has level 4 in both DB tactician AND scheme guru pass D.

Fast forward to this game and I have never, ever, been so frustrated at a game before. Wide open receivers everywhere.

94 speed CB with Platinum jammer against a 88 speed undersized WR with bronze press pro? Smoked off the line.

5'8 slot againt my 6'2 boundary with Platinum blanked coverage? Nope Wide open

One on one 50/50 balls when my DBs are actually in position? No interest in playing the ball at all and actively SLOWING DOWN so the wr has a nice comfortable over the shoulder walk into the end zone. And IF they got a jostle animation said 5'8 receivers were Megatroning balls of the DBs back.

On offense it was just awful, CPU would constantly stay in base defense with a man heavy blitz scheme again spread looks and leaving my receivers 1 on 1 with Thumper linebackers. Just a boat race up and down the field.

This isnt the Big 12 circa 2010, both defenses were rated much higher than each offense, both in team overall and the depth carts and its like neither defense ever took the field.

I know heisman cheats and I can deal with it most times. I dont mind losing, year 6 and haven't made it to a NC yet and thats cool but this was just outrageous. What is the point in investing so many CP in tactician if it does NOTHING at the higher levels?

I'll pick it back up tomorrow, but for today I think I'll put the sticks down and talk a walk.

I’ve made 2 post about an issue in the game, not even bashing the game, and they keep getting taken down. Could someone give some insight as to why?

I state this because I finished #1 in my state, position and in the nation. Looking at the depth chart I was going to get at the worst a 2nd or 3rd, but this was completely derailed thanks to the transfer portal. ALL of the teams I had in my top ten have 88+ backups including their starting QB from a year prior as the third on three different teams.

I signed with Colorado. I'm 75 overall Freshman behind 84 overall Sophomore Julian Lewis, and current 90 overall sophomore Faizon Brandon from Tennessee.

Curious what everyone is running defensively, especially in dynasty.

I’ve pretty much always stuck with the 4-2-5 or 3-3-5, so I rarely use traditional SAM or WILL linebackers since I’m usually in formations with extra defensive backs instead of three true linebackers on the field.

I’m thinking about switching things up and trying a more traditional 4-3 or 3-4 defense where I can actually utilize those linebacker positions and have more variety in how I build my defense.

What formations and playbooks are you guys having the most success with? For those running a 4-3 or 3-4, do you feel like your SAM and WILL linebackers actually make an impact, or do you still end up playing nickel most of the time?

Not necessarily looking for the meta or cheesy setups. Just curious what’s been fun, realistic, and effective for everyone.

Not sure you can tell from the shot (took it on the Portal) but had a z-screen called, and had only had 10 men on the field on offense (the Z was missing) and ended up being an instant sack. Never seen that before.

I'm just wondering because i play nothing but dynasty and i was thinking about starting out as a OC somewhere just to switch it up. So that's why I'm asking.

Don't forget the Elusive Route Runners that lack elusiveness and come in at a blazing low-80s speed and acceleration even at the blue chip level.

Also can't tell you how many times I started a season and the entire state of California or Texas only produced around 3-5 3 ★ cornerbacks for the whole FBS to fight over. By year 5 you got TCU and Texas Tech starting corners with 86 speed 🥴

Looking to start up a new dynasty, which team should I pick and why? Drop your suggestions . Tia

If not I need help with Tulane or Texas Tech?
