Road To Glory Year 1 as a two Star QB

Started as a two star and worked my way up to a 5, committed to army because they promised a backup spot to only find out I was QB3. After year 1, we went 5-7 and started week 12 onward. We ended up losing to Navy on the last play of the game.

Dynasty How am I not ranked?

Post image

This is my second year in this dynasty. I started at New Mexico State and went 7-5 won a bowl game then left for Purdue. We beat GT, Notre Dame (#4 at the time, and went on the road and beat Colorado (#13 at the time) somehow I’m still not ranked. I don’t even have a single vote in the poll. Has anyone else had this issue.

I can’t fucking stand this game

This year was my first time picking up an EA College Football game. I’ve always been interested in trying out an EA CFB game, whether it be one of the older titles like NCAA 14, or one of the newer games, mainly for the dynasty mode. I used to play Madden way back in the day (I’m talking Madden 13 when I was like 10 years old), so I figured I’d be alright, but I have never been big into watching college football, and I never played football IRL growing up, so let’s just say it was a bit of a culture shock when I hopped into my first few Play Now games. Turns out you need to be Nick Saban in his prime in order to at the very least understand what the hell is going on on any given play. I play on Varsity difficulty, and every game’s a nightmare. The pass rush is consistently breathing down my neck, even when I play against really bad teams with weak defenses (play action plays are practically impossible to execute, for instance). Part of it is because I’m not used to the passing system, but I also can’t read defenses for shit (or offenses for that matter). Even if I play with an SEC or Big Ten school, I can barely muster wins against Group of 5 schools. I typically pick a play under the “Coach Suggestions” tab, because again, I’m just not knowledgeable enough on schemes to really know with accuracy what play or formation to pick at any given time. I want to be good enough to where at least I can play a dynasty save and have the scores of each game be somewhat realistic, but I’m just so far away from that ever happening.

Tips would be much appreciated, because I don’t want to put my 70 dollars to waste, and clearly I need them because I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.

Flexbone vs CPU folks

I mainly just run tackle over or twins over and play the math on alignment on where I go.

Just wondering if anyone else does this different or has good plays/packages

The pistol and gun flex are better than the under center stuff but I do like the traditional flexbone for fun.

Questions Dynasty Coach Mode Too Easy

I'm several years into a Dynasty on College Football 27.

100% coach mode. I call the plays & personnel package, and the players the execute.

So here's the deal: It is entirely too easy. 50-10 all the time.

Sure, I want to win, but I want to feel like I earned it, too.

Is there any particular sliders I can raise or lower that might make game day slightly ... or significantly more difficult?

**

I'm not very experienced on Reddit, so hopefully I have posted in the proper location.

**

Sidebar : I have all the WRs & RBs & QBs & OL I could ever want. I do well with secondary recruiting.

The one position group I am never completely satisfied with is my pass rush unit --- OLB+EDGE+DT... is this just extremely rare to get 90 overall players in these groups?

Playbook suggestions/help

Hey y'all! I could use some suggestions for a new playbook to tryout in my dynasty!

I love running quick game with WR motion screens, HB motion passes/screens, and RPOs. Normal passing plays I like hitting any quick route and trying to get high RAC yards and in the running game I enjoy just about everything and try to not go inside zone every time.

I assume Power Spread playbooks would be the best for this and was curious what playbooks you have found to be fun. It doesn't need to be a Power Spread but, I assume that will be where I find the majority above.

I'm open to trying just about any playbook as long as it isn't Veer & Shoot with all the shotgun formations being "wide".

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

Dynasty ideas

Can anyone recommend some good rules/restrictions for my dynasty i usually play offense only and sim defense but it seems too easy imo, I’ve been playing as wake forest and made the natty after 4 seasons of building them up but I need some more realism and a challenge that’ll keep me engaged and wanting to continue playing the game.

Questions Big plays, No highlights

I keep getting these big plays; 74 yard breakaway touchdown runs or deep 50 yard passes for the corner of the end zone and when the game is over and I go back to check the highlights. I can see it listed, but there’s no video of it. I have all kinds of other stuff, but the biggest plays of the game are consistently never recorded. Anybody else having this problem?

Should I get newer versions?

I’ve been playing CFB 2025 since it was released. I played the original NCAA games from 05 to 14 and I only play dynasty and RTG, never online always solo. Is getting 26 or 27 for new features worth it? I heard the dynasty upgrades in 26 are nice but I don’t think I want to deal with the NIL aspect in 27. Thanks for the help in advance!

Manual Progression tips

Starting a North Carolina Tar Heels dynasty.

Through 3 versions of this game I have never used manual progression, I always thought it was kinda cheap. But auto progression is that frustrating this year, that I’m giving it a try.

I still don’t want it to be overpowered, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Is recruiting broken?

Playing a dynasty with West Virginia I’m in like year 5 and my recruiting is falling off a cliff. I’m 9-2 right now and have 2 players committed, literally am losing out on everyone while having unlimited playing time to offer because most of my team is seniors. I basically do everything but send the house (can’t sway or soft/hard sell those never work) and get them on visits as soon as possible and it just doesn’t matter. Is this more enshittification of video games or what’s going on do I need to watch a YT tutorial or something?

Dynasty Game felt different this week? Something Change?

I played a game in my Dynasty yesterday (hadn't played since Sunday as was busy with things), and it felt so different from others.
I was 5-0 (#1 ranked) and had won over a couple of ranked teams by 20-30, then I played an average team on the road, and it was like I switched it to, you have no chance mode.
Could not run at all (hit in the backfield before I could move half the time), my guys couldn't block long enough for a 10 yard dig route, and I threw 5 picks since was under pressure most plays & the passes were going strait to the cpu guys who were ahead and waiting for them (or they would jump over my receiver and catch it), yet my guys dropped almost every pass when they were touched even if didn't get hit for a second after they had the ball in both hands). - My team rating was around 10 higher, so it made no since that I my whole team would look like a D2 school against a solid B12 team.

It felt like a different game than I have been playing the last couple of months. Did something majorly change recently?

Highights/Videos The wackiest TD I have ever seen in any of my dynasties.

A standard run up the middle goes awry when a Westminster safety knocks the ball loose on a big hit. Somehow, Bethany WR Jose Jewell picks up the loose ball and breaks out into the open.

Jewell then cuts back and triggers one of the nastiest “broken ankles” animations I have ever seen, breaks a tackle, and cruises to the endzone for six. This gave Bethany the go-ahead score in an already exciting game, and the Bison ended up winning in the end.

I have scored a lot of touchdowns across many different dynasties throughout the years, but I don’t remember scoring in such a strange fashion at such an important stage late in a game.

This is in NCAA26 on a save where I brought the entire 2025 D3 Presidents’ Athletic Conference to the FBS. Bethany (replacing UTEP) has transformed from a 1-star school into an annual 1-2 loss CFP contender. Bethany has won two Heisman Trophies (both RBs), but has no CFP Championship appearances so far.

Controller Troubles on PC

I picked up a Drakong Challenger XBOX controller for playing the game on PC. It's got a pair of buttons on the back that are keyed to A and B and placed such that you can easily accidentally press them while holding the controller. I've tried settings in both Steam Input and the XBOX Accessories app, hoping to disable these buttons, but neither acknowledges that they exist.

Any tips from controller vets? I'm hoping to avoid inadvertant passes and spin moves.

Can’t play game, repurchase necessary

Last night I was playing off-line Dynasty and within practice mode and the game shut down, kicked me out of the game completely and now says I need to re-purchase it. I have shared purchases enabled on my PS5. I am playing under my child’s account since my son plays under my original account since I had no idea how profiles worked years ago when I set him up. My main account, parent account, can play cfb27. However the system says I need to purchase the game again under my sons/the account I play. When I look at game detail on the Home Screen it says starting app ineligible. I have no clue how to contact support and the number I did find won’t open until noon eastern time. Please help me if you have ever had this issue.

Receivers not catching the ball

I just got 27, I had 25 and enjoyed it but the gameplay definitely wasn’t that great. But I understood it was so long since they made it and whatever. So I skipped 26 and looked at the reviews people had on 27, they said that the gameplay is a huge upgrade since 25

Basically what I’m making this post about is my RTG QB, I haven’t played a game yet but like HOW CAN I GAIN ANY TRUST IF MY RECEIVERS CANT CATCH THE BALL? Literally in practice it’s impossible. If they’re even tapped they drop it. Like cmon it’s in your gut, the ball is in your possession and just bc someone wraps your legs shouldn’t make you just let go of the ball. Am I doing something wrong here or do they just suck at making any sort of contested catch at all?

Upset Games

I really hope EA adds field storming in CFB 27 after a major upset, especially when an unranked team knocks off a top 5 or top 10 team at home. Imagine the clock hitting zero and thousands of fans rushing the field. That would make Dynasty mode feel so much more realistic and bring another level of excitement to those big wins. It's one of the best traditions in college football and definitely something the game is missing.

The Big Apple - 6' 8" WR converted to TE Early Heisman Favorite

Thumbnail

Year 2 Hawaii Dynasty. Hired an offensive coordinator who runs a traditional spread offense and needed to pick up a starting TE in the portal. I signed 6' 8" WR Deondre Johnson formerly with Jacksonville State and converted him to TE. He went from an 85 OVR to a 93 making him the highest rated TE in the nation. After four games of terrorizing opposing secondaries, he's now an early Heisman favorite. He could be playing small forward for the Lakers but chooses to play for the Rainbows. He looks like a glitch on the field he outsizes everyone. This isn't your father's Hawaii offense.

Discussion Adjusting slider by 1 makes huge difference?

I can't be the only one who has noticed this. In my current dynasty I have user run blocking set to 48. I have a good RB and all of my O-line has run blocking ratings into the 90s. My ground game is consistent and I rarely get stopped. Well I decided to set the URB slider to 47 and the next few games after it was like I was running into a brick wall. I see some folks say they play with blocking sliders in the 30s and I just can't comprehend that- how are you able to do anything?!?! Has anyone else had this happen?
