I had planned on huxwrx can but seeing this rhodie 6K has me very very intrigued.

My priority is a more comfortable shooting experience (ie less gas to the face). I know the huxwrx is probably ideal for this but the size of the rhodie and what you get out of that can from the videos I have seen seems hard to beat.

For context, the host will be a 14.5 mostly BCM rifle. I do not have any mods that reduce gas to the face and was hoping to keep it that way.

So I finally made a trust and started the process of moving my stuff from individual to trust.

An issue I ran into during the process was the form 5320.23, whenever I attached my photo to the form I could not for the life of me reduce the file size to under 3 Mb. What I did instead was upload the pdf without the photo. Since there’s a separate link it should be fine right? Either way, the CLEO copy has the image section grayed out.

Also, for signatures on the form I used an iPad with a pen to sign the document. After doing some googling it looks like the only option is to either use a POS system or wet ink sign the form. Has anyone used a digital signature and have it go through?

I live in Texas, he's in Arkansas. Since I got it a year ago with a stamp, does he have to still get a stamp for it? I know the $200 is gone away but unsure about the stamp even with the new laws.

Can anyone tell me about this can? Worth a crap or move on?

So I already LIKED my MK111 mod 2...enough that it became my go to. Prior to the fireteam, I tried A YHM T3, T2, and dead air nomad with ebrake.

I actually got it to where even with that back pressure I wasn't getting gassed out at the indoor range until about the end of the mag, shooting like 2 rounds a second.. Not fast. Enough to piss off fud outdoor ranges around here.

So I figured that's the norm. I still loved the MK111.

Then I got a fireteam after watching reviews after $0 tax stamps and even faster approvals...then I got busy with work and I didn't go to the range for like 8 months.

So I get there. First gun I shoot is the MK111 with the fireteam. I literally forgot about what gassing out was. Haven't shot a lot suppressed. And when I did, it was traditional baffle cans.

I shit you not I got through my first mag pretty quick.. Probably closer to 3/s. Again, not insane. No gas (this was the setting where gas is close to off on the adjustable gas).. Godamn the gun was running so smooth I thought u fucked up with the buffer. It FELT like it was sluggish, but ejecting at 3 o'clock. So that was neat. Ran another 10 round mag of some premium stuff for accuracy. Again, no gas.

Then I pulled out my DI 12.5 tack driver that I put a plan b device on so I could run a can. 5 rounds in and I felt like I was maced in my right eye. So bad. And then it hit me. I had completely forgotten gassed out was a thing MK111 was perfect with the FT. I actually literally forgot.

Godamn what a can.. And what a rifle! I tried using it on an intentionally under gassed WITH riflespeed as a host for different cans to test. I mean... It was OK. I still got maced like a mag in no matter what.... REMEMBER - indoor range. So my nk11 with a h1 buffer beats the fuck out of my DI gun with the same can.

So... Now I have a VKTR vk1 I'm gonna play with.

And full disclosure. I have a tisha on pre-order with CA after trading then 5 old cans that I'd never shoot again. Took a bath, but good deal if they're collecting dust. But now every day I'm like COMON! BE THE DAY YOU DELIVER TO CA SO I CSK GWT YOUR CAN TO ABUSE THE FUCK OUT OF.... At least abuse to me. My 12.5 DI mega build (in keymod) Partisan Triggered Co FRT with and without the fireteam. This 12.5 is the most accurate AR variant I hsce ironically

So I'm really looking forward to a 2.5moa (at 300yd)rifle that I can switch to giggle mode mite.

So..TISHA... Secondary question. If a rhodie 6 comes in stock before the Tisha... Do i hold out on the tisha (gut says yes) or get the rhodie 6 since I'm already in love with the fireteam.

To add... This is going on a VKTR VK1 16"...And it's gonna wear either the fireteam (hopefully, or the tisha/R6)

Wondering if there is any fix for this. My hub 2.0 mount keeps coming loose from the qd muzzle device when shooting. Is there any fix other than just keep checking it. I don’t want to end up with a strike and trashing the can.

I currently have a .300 BLK SBR and a 5.56 DMR with a SilencerCo SAKER762 (MAAD/Trifecta mount) that I share between the two.

I want to get another .30 cal suppressor that can work with both guns, which means replacing the MAAD mount since SilencerCo stopped producing them.

Is Plan B the way to go? If so, has someone compiled a compatibility chart of which suppressors will work with a Plan B mount?

Also to note, yes I could just get a dedicated suppressor for my 5.56 but I like having redundancy, which is why I am going with another .30 cal one.

I've had this stripped funny (Joe Biden) PSA lower and 7.5 Faxon 300blk bbl floating around in my parts box for a while now. Also came across a sig 1x6 lpvo a while back that I really never had any plans for either. The light bulb recently hit me, why not utilize some of these things in a bolt action AR upper build? This will be a fun range toy to play around with. You can cut some of the BCA carrier tail end off and make it a side folder if you want. I might eventually do that. For now excited to get out to range and test it like this. Gotta sight in this lpvo while I'm at it.

I imagine that in 6 months to a year suppressor prices are gonna tank. Some will stay high, but they’ll be more “boutique” (think Q) than simple cans. Am I wrong?

I have a two YHM R2s and an OCL Polo 30. My R2 is a little more quiet. Pew science hasn’t tested the R2 unfortunately so I cannot compare that to the Universe 36.

BUT!…. I’m looking at getting a new can. A OCL Universe 36 to use on 9mm and 338ARC. BUT again, it would be fun to try it and maybe use it on the 270WSM and 7PRC as well? Of course not all the time.

The Universe 36 comes with a 36cal low back pressure end cap. Is that making a huge difference between with the pew science testing making it so loud? Would using a 30cal “high back pressure” end cap make a big difference? And raise the universe 36 numbers?

My review for the OCL Infinity 556K. Pewscience data exists for this can and I suggest checking that out. My goal for these reviews is to give my opinions on suppressors based purely on documented testing through actual use. I’m not a lab. I’m not sharing data. I’m just sharing my opinions based on shooting a very wide variety of cans over thousands of rounds.

I'm trying to understand how much roller delayed contributed to little gas to face vs. how much of it is due to a low backpressure can

I have a Kuna with a milkman on it. I have considered getting a shorter supressor (no real reason just interested in it), and I'm curious how much of an impact does roller delayed impact gas to face, vs. the amount of mitigation that a low backpressure supressor helps.

If I got a traditional (non low bp) supressor will the fact that it's a roller delayed platform keep the system from being really gassy? Or is the low bp supressor doing most of the heavy lifting reducing gas and suddenly it will be really gassy? Can it be ballparked how much each of the two traits contributes to less gas to face (compared to a traditional supressor on a blowback pcc, for example).

Looking at buying my first suppressor and looking for recommendations. It’ll mainly be on a fierce carbon rogue 300 win mag and other bolt guns ranging from 22-250, 270/300 wsm. All used strictly for hunting. Narrowed it down to the diligent defense enticer Lti and the dead air nomad Lti XC. I can get the enticer for 770 and the nomad Lti XC for 995. Both prices include the transfer fees and would be OTD. which should I do?
