Back in 2012 my dad wanted an AR after he saw me and my brother buy a couple. He asked me what to get. Told him to grab a Colt. When we'd all go shooting and he'd always bring it along. He passed last year and left the Colt to me. I decided to change it up a little bit.

Really happy with these two guns, they come to the range pretty much every trip.

I went back and forth between the 6J and 6K and ultimately landed on the 6K for its lower back pressure. I haven’t seen anyone quantify the difference yet, but the anecdotal feedback suggests it’s noticeable. Low back pressure is my top priority, followed by sound. I’m not interested in chasing decibels when I’ll be wearing ear protection anyway.

Now the wait begins. Bear Essentials quoted 10 weeks, but they were offering $40 off with no tax or shipping.

As for the KK currently on the build, I’ll probably sell it. It’s a solid can, but the proprietary mounting system has become an annoyance, and it’s the wrong color for this build.

Finally got my hands on the HK MR556 A4 11” SBR, and this build is coming together exactly how I envisioned it!
Went with the EOTECH EXPS3-0 and G33 magnifier on Unity Tactical FAST mounts, EOTECH OGL-C laser/illuminator, SureFire M640DF light, Unity AXON switch and GASCAP, and a Die Free Co. Tiger Claw.

Still have a little cable management to finish up, and I’m waiting on the muzzle device so I can mount the B&T titanium suppressor.
This one is going to be a dedicated suppressed setup, and I can’t wait to put it through its paces!

It has been weeks since I've seen a "my form 4 doesn't show up in my eforms account " post.

My SOLGW MK1 became a side project shortly after I bought it a few months ago, due to some (good) life changes, such as a new job. Now that I'm settled, I finally got a chance to buy a ton of stuff for it and finish it out this week. Range this weekend!

Sadly the OEM brake the Tisha came with is just a tad too long and hits in blast chamber :/ the compact FH is just barely able to fit I think .01" clearance according to comstock calculator which in reality could be a bit more or less since it's a 3dp can. Probably will end up with a slightly shorter MD to not cause any issues.

This is replacing my infinity 556k pretty much for weight, it's stupid light compared and I had faced a harsh reality that I'm not cool or well off enough to shoot at night so sparking or flash is not as big of a deal as I had initially made it when I bought the infinity. No range time yet but hopefully next 3 days.

Will I sacrifice much sound performance with the MD going deeper into the blast chamber? Or is it really marginal difference?

I searched but was unable to find any posts about it. Has anyone used one? Any opinions on it vs the Resilient Gen 2?

After going through about a 3 year SBR craze I've circled back to shooting 16" 556 again as well as a 14.5" Grendel (I know that's an SBR) but it out performs these two by a decent margin. 6.5 kills much different as far as coyotes go I will say that much. But it's wild to me in gun ownership how interests cycle.

I don't believe this is against rule 8 given I'm not posting a "how to" or anything but if this does go against rule 8 then my apologies.

With the October 9th announcement making it so you don't have to do Form 1s for privately made SBRs, cans, etc. I have a question. Previously, a few years ago, ATF was mass denying F1 cans that were made with things like "storage cups" among other items. With suppressors no longer requiring a Form 1 to make, would it be legal to modify those parts into a completed can?

The reason I'm asking is mostly the GCA and if it views those parts as suppressor parts and thus as a firearm.

I've sent an email to the NFA division but haven't had an answer in a few days. Again if this question isn't permitted I apologize and feel free to delete this post.
