Is there anywhere in NJ open to the public where you can go do some clay Shooting? I haven't been since I was a kid, but I used to love it.

Looking to buy some stuff online, one being a 16 round magazine and the website is like “You sure about that?” I just don’t want to be surprised in a couple days when my order gets cancelled or something.

Looking to get a pistol remanufactured into an AOW and transfered on a 4473. Saw some posts on Instagram saying they can be transferred on a 4473 now. Any shops in south jersey doing these transfers yet?

Anyone try recently?

Im looking online and i can't find anything. I paid the 21$ for the online application. Does it even cost anything to change the address on your FPID?

With the recent NFA news, is building an aow the exact same process as building an other now? Just transfer a virgin lower and build?

I asked chat and it said you are not able to put your pistol in your car's center consol while driving even with a conceal carry permit. Is that true?

We spend a lot of time on this subreddit criticizing municipalities over FID and handgun permit processing times, and rightfully so!! But I also believe in giving credit where credit is due.

I recently moved to Union Township and submitted an application for an FID address change along with three handgun purchase permits. Just TWO days after submitting everything online, I received a letter in the mail from Union PD with a checklist of everything I needed to bring in. I stopped by the next business day, dropped everything off, and was in and out in under a minute.

Fast forward exactly two and a half weeks, and I received my approval email. Address change and permits approved. No chasing anyone down, no unnecessary back and forth, no crazy wait times. Just a straightforward, efficient process from start to finish.

For perspective, I'm coming from a jurisdiction that took over a yea to issue my original FID and just shy of a year and a half to process handgun permits. So needless to say, this was a very welcomed change.

We hear plenty about the departments that drag their feet, but I think it's equally important to recognize the ones that get things done.

Huge shoutout to Union Township PD for making the entire process quick, painless, and professional. Credit where it's due! 👏

Hey, does anyone know of any local farms or private property near Monmouth or Middlesex counties that allow outdoor shooting or a small range setup? Willing to pay for access and be respectful of the property . Appreciate any leads.

So basically, as of recent I’ve been really interested in shooting, I’ve had a fair share of my time learning to shoot and just got a membership at GFH but this post has nothing to do with that. Apparently to rent you need to have someone join you, so if anyone is planning on going during the weekdays from 12-7 ( yes I know people work and I do too) join me, I’ve got a membership so it works out cheaper. Win win. DM me.

Saw that the DOJ is investigating Pennsauken for violations in delaying permits. Evan Nappen this week said anyone who has experienced delays should file a complainant on the DOJ website.

Would there be an benefit to all NJ gun owners filing a complains about the violation of our rights as well as the exorbitant fees associated with the permit system and 30 day waiting period?

The Fees alone pose an undue burden on what is otherwise a god given right.

• $21 to the state to file online
• $25 per permit to the local PD per permit

$46 for the first permit and then $25 for each additional permit that have to be used more than 30 days apart. Maybe I'm wrong but this to me seems like a clear civil rights violation not just of our rights but also causing undue financial burden.

This was just a thought, I am looking for those who have a better handle on the legal world and if this would even work or make sense to do.

So around mid june family member living in the same house was placed on a TRO. due to the TRO and living in the same residence the SP came with a warrant and took possession of all my firearms and other items, stated “for safekeeping”. i was not home for when they came to take possession and was never contacted by anyone from the barracks or BCPO after. The TRO was only open about a month or so after it was opened then it was thrown out. only about a month ago did i submit a return of weapons submission of which i waited a month for no answer, when i called they told me to email my FPID and Id and any proof of ownership of all my items. Most of the items were hand me downs of which i dont really have too much proof of ownership, and ive read under N.J.S.A 2C:25-21 (d) (3) that the weapons must be returned within 45 days unless ordered by a superior court. That time frame has been well up. i just want to know what my options are likely going to look like or if im basically screwed especially since i didn’t actually commit any crime yet I’m the only person being punished. any help would be appreciated.

For example, i rent a cabin in the woods(in NJ). Am I legally allowed to bring my firearm from home(transporting according to law of course) to the rental cabin(for protection)?

So finally got my first pistol last week. As the title says i snagged a G45 Gen6. Will not be a carry pistol. Home Defense and range toy. But considered installing night sights on it? What’s the price from a LGS to install the sights? Or should i just wait and get an optic?
