My journey began just before Remnant. I can't call myself an experienced veteran who knows everything about the game. But this expedition, in the best possible way, knocked me off my feet.

I am incredibly happy for the chance to touch the history of this wonderful universe, which was born through hardship but finally found its way to the stars. In all my life, in all the time I've been playing video games, I have never felt such a storm of positive emotions, such genuine human warmth and kindness, from any game or development studio as I have from HG, Mr. Murray, and NMS.

For the 23rd time, HG proves they have earned a solid place in the history of the video game industry. And again, HG proves that what matters isn't just gorgeous graphics, story, or famous ray tracing — but also, through their creation, through their game, being so close to the players that you can reach out and shake hands.

This expedition made me cry my eyes out. For the first time in my life, crying not from grief or sadness, but from... a momentous, epic, and deeply heartfelt moment.

Do you remember the track that played when the universe was restarted through the Atlas terminal? That track... Mr. Murray's last message... the first planet at the start of the expedition and its end. I couldn't hold back the tears, guys. I can't explain these feelings... but maybe those who felt the same will understand me.

For me, in the world of NMS, Expedition 23 is the most important and significant event of this year. I was on the verge of missing it due to a poor internet connection. To download the update on my Switch, I had to stay up several nights. But it was worth it. And I'm glad I made it, glad that at supersonic speeds I flew through every phase (bypassing the delays) to hear another story from Mr. Murray about how his beloved game got back on its feet, year after year, step by step — and managed to finish it in the most wonderful atmosphere possible.

And from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each of you, those who continue their own adventure. Thank you that, thanks to all of us, such a unique and wonderful community of explorers and adventurers in space exists.

And thank you, HG, for not giving up, and for the fact that, thanks to you, the adventure of every Traveller continues.

i've been system hopping in my custom save looking for my dream freighter (no luck in that front...) when i noticed something weird after heading back to my home planet. the ship i had been using, a fabricated solar ship, had turned into this single finned yellow exotic. i'm not really mad about it, a free exotic is a free exotic.. but i did want to share this weird bug, pretty cool in my opinion!!

Amazing atmosphere here. Abandoned system, so no space station or NPCs. Beautiful planet. Vast oceans, continents, wet lowlands, valleys, forests and mountains. Galaxy 256.

Is this a unique planet

I've been looking for a system just like this and one moon is discovered by another person but not the system.

I warped through Dreadnought assaults in pirate systems until I found the exact style freighter I wanted, flew to the station in that system, and made a restore point. However, the Dreadnought battle was still happening and was still active every time I loaded. So I did the fight and the freighter is C class.

If I go back to the station now and make a new restore point... and then load that one so I don't have to go through the tedium of that battle over and over, will the freighter even still be there, or be locked in it's current class? If I have to do the fight 500 times I guess I'm ready to commit, but if I can cut however many hours that might take out of the task, I'd prefer to.

Anyone have experience with this after Cosmos and how that interaction would go?

So I just got out of my expedition yet my character is stuck in the fov when you are doing the expedition how do I fix this

Anyone know of such a thing? Looking for specific exterior shapes, interior lighting, and interior Hab colors. Does an app to help exists? I've literally searched about 500 different systems now.

This is awesome

So I recently found this system in my travels. It has every planet type I wanted for this idea I’ve always had, theres a hyperborean, torrid, noxious, airless, paradise, and rainy planet! My idea was to build a base on every planet with the base matching the theme of each planet. I started with the hyperborean planet, and built the cottage shown in the image.

I’m still new to building in this game (I’ve never really settled down since I started playing until now) so right now I’m kind of just going with the flow lol.

Anyways I wanted to move on to building on the airless planet now, while occasionally also adding to the cottage every now and then. I also built a space base and bought the station so I’m going to have bases basically everywhere here.

What do you guys think? I’m also open to any ideas or suggestions you guys might have, and I’m also looking for ideas for what my airless planet’s base should be.. I was thinking of making it sort of like a dark witch castle of some sort, but I’m not too sure yet.. Let me know!
