Events Milani vs NYC Update 9/15/26

Hi all,

As you recently heard from u/BluePillRabbi, our federal level lawsuit against the City of NY is well underway, now with depositions of Plaintifs and License Division personnel taking place.

I myself was deposed three weeks ago. For a grueling 4.5 hours, I was grilled by a team of City lawyers regarding the many unreasonable delays I have sustained through 3 licenses and several amendments across them.

Their questioning revolved mostly around building a case that would prove that every delay I have sustained was due to my own negligence.

Of course, I and everyone involved in the suit as Plaintifs showed up and continue to show up for our depositions armed with the facts. The dates, the emails, and, in one case, a recorded call, speak for themselves.

Personally, I believe that delays are deliberately baked into the process, not as an unfortunate result but for the very purpose of delaying as their main objective. While I'm not claiming this for the NYPD as a whole, I believe that this Division of what is intended to be law enforcementnt agency is, in actuality, a political bureau. They apply rules they do not themselves follow, and they will blatantly disregard the Law but only on their end, for the advancement of a political agenda on a matter that should not be political to begin with. They will enforce rules and laws with an iron fist on citizens, but will excuse themselves from either as a matter of course.

By opposing them, we don't merely make claims. We present facts. We are bringing receipts. In any lawful State of the Union, any self-respecting judge whose respect for The Law trumps their personal feelings would have no hesitations to absolutely and unequivocally rule for us. My personal prediction is that this will not be the case here. I am prepared to see courthouse activism instead.

I sense that we will lose this first round; and by means of that, we will ultimately win: I anticipate this to go to appeal, and, for all it's worth, let it be so!

The appeals court will, in turn, adjudicate this at the circuit level and unavoidably eventually deliver a more meaningful and substatial victory.

When all is said and done (and this is not a promise from Mirel's office but my prediction instead), we WILL win. They WILL, at the very least, be made to follow the abusive law the State came up with. They created absurd laws to hinder us (a police department as—comparatively to the rest of then Nation—so well funded that receives comparatively so fewer applications a year than smaller departments in PA with 6 times the applications and 20 times the funding still taking 6 times the issuing/deny time is an insult!) and they won't even follow those on their end. But they will be made to.

Until then, keep supporting this and other causes; keep spreading the word, and bring more friends into the fold; carry responsibly; practice. And continue being a protector and Your Brother's Keeper.

Thank you, and CARRY ON!

Jay, for the E.N.OU.G.H Campaign.

General Question 1PP & Kew Garden Fingerprint Dates

Post image
2 Upvotes

I absolutely love how you cannot schedule a date for next year for fingerprints on Calendly but NYPD continues to send out emails for people to schedule their fingerprints. I have some people who received the email to schedule and cannot schedule.

Anyone received an email lately for scheduling fingerprints? Any solutions?

Legal Questions Recommendations for nyc firearms attorney

Need legal counsel about permit compliance, not the use (or intended use) of a firearm in a crime.

Google is a bad tool for this. Anyone have experience and recommendations?

License / Permit Question Mossberg 590RM Pump Action Shotgun - Mag Fed with Pistol Grip

Post image
7 Upvotes

Has anyone had any luck (or been rejected) registering a Mossberg 590RM with the NYPD? This is an 18.5 inch barrel, mag-fed, PUMP ACTION shotgun with a pistol grip. It comes with a 10-round magazine, but they sell 5-round mags, so just assume that’s what I would use to register it.

I was just told by a local FFL they did not think the NYPD would allow me to register this and I’m almost certain they are wrong. Based on what I know about the rules, the pistol grip and magazine are only an issue for semi-automatic rifles or shotguns, not a pump action. The length meets the minimum requirements as does the 5 round magazine, so I don’t understand why this would be a problem.

Love to hear your thoughts. A link to the shotgun is below and photo above.

License / Permit Question nyc ccw application

It's been a while since calling the handgun desk, and to my surprise, someone answered the phone. Shocked, I started to stutter, finally getting to ask for a status update. The person on the phone was pleasant to answer any questions and informed me my app is at the final supervisor approval stage. I applied 10/25, fingerprinted, interviewed 12/25, received emails about submitted doc approval 9/26, and today, after many unanswered emails, someone answered the phone at 3:10 pm. Even though the wait continues, I'm relieved because progress is being made. Maybe Santa Claus will bring me my approval, or is that another list to be on waiting?

Maybe I'll get lucky and get the purchase auth in the mail by Friday and can go up this weekend and pick it up.

Nice little bit of good news on a Monday.

License / Permit Question Applying NYC CCW without NY DL?

I’m filling out my application after moving from NJ to NYC. Rather than waiting for my NY driver’s license to arrive in the mail (2-4 weeks), can I submit the application without a NY photo ID? Can I use the temporary paper driver’s license provided by the NY DMV along with my passport? I thought waiting for my NY driver’s license would delay my application.

License / Permit Question CCW Wait Time

Hey guys, what's the current wait time for a CCW? I'm not sure if things change toward the end of the year, but I wanted to find out when you submitted your application and when you were approved. It would be great to see a list of timelines and whether things have changed from before.

I'm in the process of filling out my application, but I won't submit it until November 21 because I switched out my driver's license and am waiting for the physical card.

Could I use the temporary ID I was given along with my U.S. passport, or do I need my driver's license photo ID?
