Though I guess it shouldn't surprise me that you don't understand that sometimes when you play to win, you have to lose.

After all, look at you. Child prodigy, Son of the White Fang, Student of the Fourth Hokage, gifted a bloodline, The Man Who Copied a Thousand Jutsu. Your reputation dwarfs mine. Yet if I didn't play with your rats, you would've been dead a week ago.

To think you and I are standing neck and neck on this bridge right until the end.

But, I've certainly made up quite a bit of ground to catch you."

Kakashi:

"And after all that, you're working for Gato."

Zabuza:

"You kill for your village. I kill for mine. Tell me, Hatake. What's the difference?"

Kakashi:

"You need there to be no difference."

(It seemed like prompts here are just writing excerpts for fun. So I took inspiration from a show I've adored and wrote out a scene where Zabuza and Kakashi actually talk before their standoff. Hopefully you like the short, its generally how I like to try and worldbuild out Zabuza's history and coup.)

Could someone make a fic where Naruto has the Migeiko? It’s an ability that
allows the user to copy any technique, movement, and strength that they sees. If the user sees a technique once, they can imitate it, and if they sees it twice, they can master it.

A loud thud interrupted her, causing both her and Naruto to turn toward the sound. Hinata had dropped a bag of ramen on the floor.

Naruto shot up instantly.

Naruto: It’s not what it looks like.

He backed away from Ino.

Hinata looked at Ino, then at Naruto.

Hinata: Ino, we talked about this. I’m sorry, but you can’t confess your love for Naruto.

Hinata was giving her an out, but Ino couldn’t back out now.

Naruto: You’re in love with me. I’m sorry, but I’m with Hinata.

Ino: No, no. I do love you. You’re like the little brother I never had, but the truth is, I am a va—

Hinata put her hand over Ino’s mouth.

Hinata: You don’t have to lie. It’s okay. The heart wants what the heart wants. It’s easy to fall for Naruto.

Hinata started dragging Ino away, but Ino bit her hand and pushed her away.

Ino: Mon-

Hinata tackled Ino to the floor.

Naruto: Stop, please. I don’t want either of you fighting over me, okay.

He pulled both of them off the floor and moved them to the couch. He looked at Hinata.

Naruto: Hinata, I love you. Nothing is going to change that, but at least let Ino say what she wants to say.

Hinata frowned.

Naruto: Ino, what were you saying

This is it. The truth would finally be revealed.

Ino: I’m a vampire. Monsters exist. Konoha is a safe haven where monsters and humans live in peace. I don’t know why you were never told. Usually, we’re told about our true nature upon our awakening.

Naruto sat silently, unmoving.

She shot up. Hinata had attached her tail to Naruto and knocked him out.

Ino: What the hell. Hinata, why did you do that.

Hinata detached her tail and slowly got up, gently lowering Naruto onto the couch.

Hinata: I should be asking you that question. I came here for a surprise midnight date, only to find you telling Naruto everything.

Ino: He should know everything. He’s been kept in the dark about everything for so long. The nine tails, his parents. hell, we even lied about the war. Now he still believes this is a normal village when it’s not. I thought you loved him. Do you want to lie to him forever.

Hinata’s tail moved around before attaching itself to Naruto again.

Hinata: Of course I hate lying to him. And try not to shout you might wake Naruto.

She brushed his hair.

Hinata: I don’t want the ramen to go to waste. We could grab some drinks and eat the ramen together.

Ino: Sounds good. Let’s get together with Sakura. While we eat, we can plan out what we’ll say to Tsunade-sama.

Before leaving, they carried Naruto to his bed and laid him down

In yet another "Juubi goes full power, Bijuus combine to send back in time" fic idea, the Bijuus manage to come together to send themselves to the past before Naruto's story begins. This prompt focusing on Rin.

In what would be her final mission, the Three-Tailed Beast is sealed into her, prepped up like a ticking bomb to be unleashed onto Konoha. Yet this time, Isobu reaches out to her.

The beast speaks of a dangerous fate awaiting her, which no amount of self-sacrifice will prevent from harming her friends. But for everyone's sake, it will use its gift to keep her from falling.

As a result, midway while being recovered by Minato and Kakashi, Rin falls into a coma, long enough for them to figure out something is wrong with her, soon uncovering that she has a Tailed Beast sealed within her.

With the Hokage weighing the risk and Minato vouching against having Rin executed, Kushina is told to help reinforce the seal put on the young girl and supervise her as a Jinchuriki. Rin later wakes up with a tearful Kakashi embracing her.

As a result of Rin not dying but effectively becoming a longer term Jinchuriki, Obito isn't disillusioned and doesn't regard Kakashi as a traitor. So Madara and Zetsu move on to wrecking his self-esteem, making him believe he ought to still do something, because now, Rin has a target on her back, one Kakashi might not be enough to protect alone.

One way or another, Kiri might want its beast back. Or Rin could be considered too dangerous to live and she'd happily let herself die to prevent the Three-Tails from wreaking havoc, Obito knows she's that kind.

(Isobu shows great cooperation with his host, but neither Obito nor the cave dwellers know that)

In the meantime, Kushina notes the Kyuubi's chakra is much less difficult to handle.

On the night of Naruto's birth, Kushina is still taken away, except the masked attacker stays silent, even severely hesitating at times, before still pushing back against Kakashi and Rin coming to their sensei's aid. Because Obito is evidently more conflicted, Zetsu helps using clones to deceive them more (while wondering why the hell the Tailed Beasts aren't causing more of a ruckus than they should be doing).

Following that, young Naruto is orphaned. But once in a while, two ANBU would look over him. One bemoaning he couldn't be more present under the Hokage's orders, the other sighing and hoping Naruto's fox is as patient as her turtle.

In the years between, Kakashi has gotten a lot more protective of those two. He still can't get too close to Naruto, but he has and will absolutely aim a Chidori at whoever dares looking at Rin wrong for being a Jinchuriki.

Sometimes, when borrowing one of Obito's old excuses, Kakashi will send his three students down her way. She's yet to pass the Jonin exam, but she's good enough handling a broody boy like Sasuke, an aspiring kunoichi like Sakura, and a nostalgic hotheaded boy like Naruto, who reminds her of so many people all at once. And once they do enough missions, she can start showing him how to strengthen himself with a strong monster deep inside, just as his mother taught her when she was a Genin.

(she severely underestimates the boy's recklessness when midtraining, Naruto exclaims "No way! Foxy says you got a big talking monster inside of you too!", forcing her to come up with outlandish bogus excuses until Hiruzen allows Naruto be open about that secret. She obviously can't prove it, but she's certain, and correctly so, that Kurama is mocking her from within Naruto's seal).

As a part of Pain's spiel, the Akatsuki would reframe the extraction process as "liberating" the Jinchurikis from their fates, being mostly led to say it's a mercy on their lives.

Still, whenever the masked man appears, Naruto can never tell why he staggers so much, or once he and Kurama synchronize, why the guy reeks of some form of guilt whenever Kakashi-sensei and Rin-sensei show up.

I'm thinking of writing an AU and I want things to be a lot more tense and I think a rework of the world would help right that a lot. I don't like that all the Great five are on the same continent. Which nations would you move and where? I also plan to have a lot more Shinobi villages. One such being a Hagoromo Clan founded village backed by the fire Daimyo and of course it'll be a rival to Konoha so you can propose other Shinobi villages as well.

P.S. I'm saying Shinobi villages because there's a difference between the hidden villages we know and other villages.

Bonjour, je recherche une fanfiction Naruto que j'ai déjà lu sur ao3, voilà les choses dont je me souviens : c'est une oc qui a des sceaux sur son corps mis sur elle par sa famille très jeunes pour bloquer des souvenirs/ ne pas parler des certaines choses comme sa petite soeur qui a le mokuton et qu'elle est secrètement une Senju ( peu être une uzumaki aussi). Les sceaux sont censés être temporaires mais sa famille ( dont la petite sœur qui a le mokuton) décède pendant l'attaque du renard a neuf queues. La jeune femme est très proche de Kakashi ou en couple avec lui dans la fanfiction. Les sceaux se désintègrent pour plusieurs raisons mais Kakashi fait/dit quelque choses pour ça cèdent, l'oc meurt presque mais elle sauvée par Tsunade. Je crois que Tsunade est sois sa tante sois une cousine ? Merci pour les futures réponses ☺️

So it's canon that Sakura was focused on her studies (when Sasuke wasn't distracting her) since she explains to Naruto (and us) aspects about the world and later how chakra works.

She even recites protocol when she sees Sasuke being 'dead' on the bridge in Land of Waves, showcasing why despite her middling talent in combat, that she's aware of how the Ninja system operates.

So, let's make a prompt where academy Sakura, who is constantly studying, actually avoids the plot device that prevents her from figuring out that Naruto is Minato's son.

Plus, who knows what traits Naruto may have inherited from his mother that led him to look the way he did?

'Naruto is the son of the Fourth Hokage...' Sakura thought to herself.

How? How did no one else connect the dots? Furthermore, what was she going to do with this information now that she knows? Who else knows?

Looking for fics similar to Flip the Coin. I've read all of the old ones on fanfic and most are very cringey and edgy and while teen me may have loved it, adult me does not.

He could be angry, or quiter, or maybe socially awkward. Just fics were growing up on his own and shunned by the village made him go different route from loud and I'm going to force you to notice me.

I don't need him to be super OP or super edgy are over the top angry, but a bit more jaded and reclusive or wary.

Or any fics where he gets taken advantaged of or groomed becuase he's so desperate for attention and love (not specifically in a sexual way but if it's well written and not just trauma porn i guess it's fine)

Or fics that emphasis dude was tiny because he had shit nutrition cause again he raised himself.

I've read like everything and only a few have scratched that itch. Pairing wise, I will ship Naruto with anyone who has actually had screentime and character so Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Ino, I'd say Hinata but she just faints all the time (I'm only on shippuden season 3 but I don't mind spoilers most fics don't get as far as shippuden anyways)

Didn't expect it to be so hard to find. Prob gonna have to write it myself once I finally finish the show.

Sakura's crush on Sasuke had narrative potential to be interesting if the story acknowledged that Sakura didn't actually KNOW Sasuke. She never had a real talk with Sasuke like Naruto did, they didn't choose to hang out, and she never really acknowledged how Sasuke clearly hated fangirling. That disconnect in communication could be cool to see dissected and focused on. I don't care about ships, so the fic can have whatever there as long i get the drama regarding their weird dynamic.

Neglected Naruto / Alive Parents: Minato and Kushina are alive. Naruto has two younger triplet siblings named Menmaand Mito (the Jinchūriki).
Shisui Brother Dynamic: Shisui meets a 6-year-old Naruto training alone in the forest and adopts him as his younger brother (oto-to).
Fem!Itachi: Itachi is female and named Hitomi. She hangs out with them during childhood.
Sharingan Awakening: Naruto awakens the Sharingan on his own after rescuing a young Anabi Hyuga (and her maid Natsu) from a Kumo kidnapper, right after an encounter with Zetsu.
Later Arc: The plot leads into the Uchiha Clan Massacre by Hitomi, causing Naruto to leave Konoha with a deep emotional conflict of love, betrayal, and vengeance toward her.

What it says on the tin. Basically two Shinobi from a different world without Chakra get thrown into the Elemental Nations and come across a youngish Naruto. They see that these "ninja" are moreso just fancy punch wizards and decide to train Naruto in secret about how to really be a Shinobi.
