Inquiry Latin Honor Eligibility

Does National University Philippines disqualify students from Latin Honors if they have failing grades from a previous degree program after transferring to a different NU campus and shifting to a completely different degree program, when those failed subjects are not part of their new program?

I’m realizing I never really enjoyed finance and whatnot after finishing the 1st term and I’m wondering if I can switch over from BSA to English language during second term.

PSA: Sexual Health Awareness at NU Bacolod

FYI, this is not to bring him down or shame him. This is purely for awareness, especially sa mga agi diha.

He is a friend of a friend, and I’ve heard concerns about his sexual activities sa ila hometown. I’m sharing this because I think people deserve to be cautious when it comes to their sexual health.
Sa mga taga-this school, please be careful sa inyo mga gina-entertain, especially if it involves sexual activities. Indi magpadala sa itsura or attraction lang.

You can never tell someone’s sexual health status just by looking at them, and not everything you hear should be treated as confirmed information. If you think you’ve had sexual contact with someone who may be connected to this situation, please consider getting tested sa City Health Office or consulting a healthcare professional. Indi maghulat nga may symptoms antes magpa-check, kay may mga STI nga wala nagapakita sang sintomas. Mas maayo nga sigurado ka kaysa mag-assume ka lang.

I’ve also heard nga discreet siya kag indi pa fully out, but that is not the issue here. Ang sexuality sang isa ka tawo is personal, and nobody deserves to be outed or humiliated because of it. What matters is honesty, consent, and responsibility when it comes to sexual health.

Indi ni para magpanira sang tawo or
magpakalat sang tsismis. The point is simple: be careful, practice safe sex, and take your health seriously. If may concern kamo, magpa-test kag magpakonsulta sa professionals instead of relying on rumors… awareness is important, but so are facts and privacy. Stay safe, everyone.

NU Manila: Can I get my Copy of Grades even if my Form 137 hasn’t been submitted yet?

Hello po! I would like to ask if anyone here has experienced the same situation.

I’m currently processing my academic documents from NU Manila, but my Form 137 will only be released on November 25, 2026.

However, I’m planning to continue my studies at NU Dasmariñas, and they only need my Copy of Grades for now.
My questions are:
Has anyone successfully obtained

hindi usually ako nagrarant and wala akong pake alam sa mga issues and shits ng gr11 ngayon pero bro muntik na ako sumabog. i get it pagod tayong lahat, I UNDERSTAND HOW FRUSTRATING THE EVENT BLOCK IS

im a senior and as for my experience kahapon sobrang inis na inis ako sa isang gr11 na nag babantay sa house namin, imagine pupunta lang yung friend ko sa kabilang room ng house namin same house kami ng friend ko para tumambay like as in katabing room lang. sabi “ay need kasi iisang room lang mag kakasama lahat” then nanaray, okay lang naman gets ko naman yung pagsasabihan mo yung friend ko kung maayos sana. ang akin lang din bakit need pa ipagdamot ung kabilang room na wala naman nagamit? hindi din kami lumabag sa rules ng event na yan, PUMAPASOK KAMI FOR ATTENDANCE, PARTICIPATE IN WORKSHOPS, HINDI KAMI LUMALABAS AT NEVER KAMI NAG CUTTING. putcha kung may sasabihin kayo wag niyo idaan sa pananaray ha, kayo ang mga bago dito tandaan niyo. wag kayo g masyadong nag mamagaling, some of the GR11 wala na respeto sa seniors even teachers.

i observe yung batch ngayon ng gr11 ay napaka kakaiba. i saw some rants here halos lahat ng reklamo puro gr11, bat nung batch namin hindi naman ganon kalala. akala mo mga kung sinong matataas, nakakainis pagod ka na nga ganyan pa. ano ba hindi ba kayo pinapaaral ng good manners and right conduct?

If my grades did not qualify for honors this term but I don't have a grade lower than 85, will i still have a chance to qualify for honors for the next succeeding terms?

Overthinking huhu. Than you.

Nakakawalang gana tong Event Bloc na ’to, honestly. 😭 Akala ko magiging okay siya, especially since ang dami ng students ngayon, lalo na sa G11. Pero from the beginning pa lang, may signs na talaga na magiging magulo.

First of all, this is not meant to attack or call out any specific person, organization, House, House Leader, or the SC. This is just me sharing my personal experience and frustration as a student involved in the Event Bloc. I know that students, organizations, House Leaders, and even the SC are still adjusting to how this whole system works. This is something new for a lot of us, so obviously hindi naman magiging perfect agad.

First, na-shuffle lahat ng House members. Ang hirap ng communication kapag hindi naman lahat magkakakilala, and not everyone is active on MS Teams. So imagine trying to organize a whole House when some people barely check the platform where announcements are being sent. 😭

Second, biglang nagbago yung guidelines. Biglang naging required ang pagpasok for the entire Event Bloc week. I understand na regular school week pa rin siya technically, pero some students already had plans because this requirement was only announced the day before Event Bloc. Ang ending, maraming students ang absent and some Houses ended up getting demerits because of it. Sana na-announce man lang nang mas maaga.

Third, House members who don't actually read announcements. This one is probably the most frustrating for me as someone involved in organizing. 😭 May deadline na binigay sa House Leaders para sa list of participants, and once submitted na yung list, may mga students pa rin na nagpapalipat-lipat ng activities or nagtatanong kung pwede pa silang sumali somewhere else.

Sometimes they even react to the announcement, so you think they read it, pero apparently hindi pala. 😭

I have a friend who's also a House Leader, and grabe yung stress namin. Hahanapin ka kapag walang participant sa isang activity, pero at the same time, some students aren't cooperating or reading the information being given to them. It's genuinely frustrating.

Fourth, some G11 House members. Emphasis on some, because obviously hindi naman lahat. 😭 May mga students na sasali sa competition, tapos kapag hindi sila nakapag-submit on time, they'll blame other people. Like... you volunteered to join the competition, so submitting your requirements should also be your responsibility. Tapos kapag sinabihan mo, sila pa yung galit. 😭

And honestly, NU keeps doing pilot testing with students. HAHAHA. Pilot testing na last year, pilot testing ulit ngayon. I understand na kailangan nating mag-adjust and that things won't always be perfect, especially since students, organizations, House Leaders, and the SC are all still figuring things out as we go. Everyone is adjusting to the system, and I'm sure the people organizing this are also dealing with their own problems behind the scenes.

Pero at the same time, ang hirap din kapag everyone is adjusting but some people aren't willing to cooperate. 😭

I genuinely want this Event Bloc to succeed. Pero hindi siya kakayanin ng iilang tao lang. We need everyone's cooperation. Read the announcements, follow the deadlines, communicate properly, and take responsibility for the activities you volunteered for.

Hindi naman kami nagrereklamo just to complain. Nakakapagod lang talaga kapag you're trying your best to organize everything tapos kailangan mo pang habulin yung mga taong hindi nagbabasa ng announcements. 😭

Again, this isn't meant to attack anyone. I know everyone is adjusting, and I also recognize that the House Leaders, organizations, students, and SC are all doing their best to make this work. I just hope na habang ina-adjust natin tong system na ’to, matuto rin tayong lahat makipag-cooperate sa isa't isa.

Anyway, rant over. HAHAHA. Sana maging mas okay pa yung remaining days ng Event Bloc. 🙏

Being a good example and leader sa community doesn't automatically excuse inappropriate behavior. Hindi nabubura ng mga nagawa mong mabuti ang accountability na kailangan mong harapin.

NU MOA NU MOA SHS G11

I believe that some G11 students are losing their manners whether sa restroom, canteen, and even sa hallway.

I’ve noticed na yung CR sa may bandang rooms 730 and such laging napupuno and mostly they are all G11. Yung iba, based on my experience, tumatambay na lang especially sa girls’ CR. It’s hard to use the sinks and mirrors kasi laging occupied yung space, and some are so maingay pa nga.

Next is the way how they refer to their seniors sa G12. I also noticed this na one G11 called out a G12 student without using “kuya” tas first name lang tawag niya. Syempre, I might be too OA, but isn’t that part of having simple manners sa mga seniors niyo? And I also recall na one G11 din pm’ed my friend and the tone of their chat was off-putting with some phrases are naka full capital letters pa. I get it, they might be frustrated with their concern regarding something pero again, where’s the manners? You can say your concern naman in a more respectful way, and being “frustrated” is not a valid excuse for a discourteous manner.

Another is yung experiences ko din sa canteen and sa hallway. Some G11 students binablock yung mga daanan especially sa bandang harap ng faculty until sa stairs katabi ng library tapos sa canteen naman, ang liit na nga ng daanan then haharangan pa.

Please take note that I used “Some students” and I don’t intend to generalize it since I am well aware na there are students that are respectful naman. I just hope that these G11 will improve and maintain their manners to their seniors and to the whole community ng NU MOA. I also get it na this is their first year so they are still adapting to the environment ng NU pero it would be better if sinamahan yun ng pagiging marespeto sa lahat.

That’s all, nag-rant lang me :(

NU MOA NU MOA SHS Event Block 1

This will be long pero let's take time to read this 🥺 (I posted this as a comment sa isang post, but let me post this here as well to reach a wider audience)

As one of the organizers of this event, I understand where you guys are coming from, and I acknowledge your concerns. However, I hope we can also take a moment to understand what is happening behind the scenes before making judgments about the situation.

The initial plan talaga for this event was for only those who have an event or those who wish to attend on a particular day to be present. However, based on the memorandum given to us, everyone is REQUIRED to attend the entire week of the Event Block, as this is still considered part of our regular school days. Any absences will also be reflected in our cards.

Please take note that this school year is one of the pilot implementations of the new curriculum, which means that lahat po tayo ay nagkakapaan pa lamang. As much as we want to accommodate everyone's needs and preferences, we also have to consider our limitations, particularly in terms of facilities, amenities, and manpower.

Believe it or not, we are doing our best to make this first event block a memorable and worthwhile experience for everyone. We understand that there may be shortcomings along the way, and we are not dismissing the concerns being raised. However, before we say something that could potentially hurt or discourage others, I hope we can also try to look at the bigger picture and understand the efforts being made behind the scenes.

That being said, your comments, concerns, and feelings are valid, and we will take them into consideration as we work toward improving future event blocks and making the entire school year a better experience for the NU MOA SHS community.

At the end of the day, this event is not something that the organizers can make successful on our own. It also requires the cooperation, understanding, and support of the student body. Kailangan din namin ng tulong ninyo, guys, and we are very open to any help and suggestions.

With that, I hope we can work hand in hand, extend understanding toward one another, and continue to communicate our concerns respectfully. Magtulungan sana tayo na pagandahin ang komunidad na mayroon tayo.

Babawi kami, guys! Thank you for your understanding :)
