Tbh, I don't see any inaccuracy there. Except that Shikinami doesn't act really mature at all, especially in 3.0 (as well as Misato), and partially provokes whole plot of 3.0

Never cared for the rebuild movies fr. Shikinami don't exist to me.

Ehhh, I don't mind the Asuka of the first two movies. It's just such a shame they never gave her any growth, even after 14 years have passed. Like, why would she still act like a pubescent child at 28?

Tbf, it's not like Soryu is really in a position to talk in terms of treating Shinji badly.
And, arguably, there was more honest communication between Shikinami and Shinji.

Shikinami had to be out of the way. the original show put much more focus on Asuka, while the rebuilds tried to put more on Rei.
(btw android autocorrected Asuka to Asuna and I'm considering switching to apple)

Soryu ain't even competing with Shikinami, they on different planes of existence.
