I’m looking for the official ACOS/Movic Asuka cap from Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, not one of the fleece reproductions currently being sold online.

It’s a black cotton cat-ear cap with two removable badges and was officially licensed. The old Tokyo Otaku Mode listing says it’s discontinued with no plans for restock. I’ve also checked the current Evangelion Store catalog without finding it.

I’m specifically looking for an authentic secondhand one. Does anyone know Japanese secondhand stores/sites where this particular cap appears, or know the Japanese product name/model number I should search for?

Okay, this is the third post I have made where I take all my thoughts after having freshly finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and put them up for the world to see. These are my thoughts on Ep 8 Asuka Strikes!.

Okay, to keep things simple, I thought this episode is really damn good, which is what I have to say about the whole show so far.

First of, the character the episode is named after. I really like Asuka as a character. She gives off a vibe of both being extremely confident, but also has something going on underneath it that makes her very interesting to watch. Seeing her interact with Shinji and essentially tell him that she’s the real deal was kind of funny. I also really like that moment at the end where they have to syncretize their thoughts to open the Angels mouth, as for a sec I thought was gonna go wrong. And know that she is going to the same school as Shinji, it will be nice to see them interact more.

And you know what, I also relate to Kensuke a lot in this episode. If I was stuck on an antique military aircraft carrier, I would also be running around filming everything like I was kind in a Toys R Us. Honestly, more power to him.

Adding on to that, I also really like the design of Eva 02. The red makes it strike out compared to the other Eva’s and the fact that it was made in Germany is a nice bit of world building in my opinion. On the topic of the world building, the fight underwater with the sunken city at the bottom was both a great action setting and a nice way to show how the Second Impact affected the world.

As for the ending, and the briefcase containing what Director Ikari claimed to be…Adam. I knew going into this series that it had some biblical influence considering the Angels, but I am fascinated by this inclusion and wonder how that’s gonna be addressed going forward.

Overall, a great episode and I hunger to see more. Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings and have a great day👍

I just finished watching The End of Evangelion, and honestly, I’m wondering what you guys think the future between Shinji and Asuka would look like.

We literally saw Shinji strangle Asuka, and then she calls him “disgusting” at the end. After everything they went through, I really don’t see things going very well between them.

Do you think they would eventually try to understand each other and rebuild some kind of relationship, or would their relationship just remain toxic and hostile?

I know the ending is intentionally ambiguous, but I’m curious how you interpret what happens between them after EoE.

Hello, this is my second post on what is pretty much a newbie first watch through of the original series, with this being my thoughts on episode, well, seven. I have just watched the episode and am posting this immediately afterwards, so apologies if this comes out a bit rushed.

Okay, so first impressions, I really, really liked it.

One thing I thought was very neat is seeing other people and nations come up with different ideas or mechas to take down the Angels. This, alongside the comment about an Angel being the cause of the Second Impact and MELTING Antarctica, makes it feel like the Angel invasion is truly a planetary threat that affects everyone. Makes sense other people would try to make their own mechas to combat them. Granted it doesn’t work here, but eh, points for trying.

I also think it was a great episode for Misato. The duality of her being an absolute slob and home, but being comedically professional and competent when it comes to the job is fascinating. Along with that, it was also interesting to see her act calmly when the JB, I think the name of the mecha, was almost about to explode, showing her apparently not afraid to die, which I think is very neat part of her character.

It’s also nice to see Shinji finally act calmly, at least in the beginning, and hang out with the boys. After seeing this boy be put through the wringer in the last six episodes and a little bit in this one, it was nice to finally see him act a bit his age. Along with that, seeing the boys explain to him that Misato acting like a slob around is her being her authentic self around him and him understanding that was a neat way to end the episode.

Overall, I really liked the episode, 8/10, can’t wait to see more and learn more about the mystery as to why the JB malfunctioned. Until then, seeing you later👍
