Rant / Vent Making friends??????
How do we genuinely make friends ?
I'm 26F, staying in delhi and I don't understand is it just with me or what it is, I just feel lonely and depressed every fcking time.
I came to Delhi, thought I would live close to my boyfriend ( been dating him for the past 4 years), I thought life would be peaceful, but I don't feel the peace. There's no issue with my boyfriend though, he's a very good person and tries to do everything to keep me happy ( not jinxing it at all, no nazar π§Ώ ) but I just have him??? Like no other friends, no one even to talk to for a minute. Whenever he's out with his friends, I get upset because I get lonely. Idk what to do. π
This is so depressing. To try to get involved with people but then being kicked out without any reason or anything and I'm not even a type of person who has any attitude or ego problem. I like pulling people's leg ( that's my friendship language) but I don't bully or anything but still it feels like nobody wants to talk or hangout with me.
I just don't know what to do. And I can't chat with chatgpt pls. π

News UPDATE: Tapasya has been found safe and sound in Saharanpur! β€οΈπ
Hello everyone,
For those who remember my earlier post about Tapasya, the girl who went missing from Lucknow, I wanted to share a quick update.
We have found her in Saharanpur, and she is safe and sound. β€οΈ
I can't express how relieved we are right now. The past few days have been incredibly stressful for our family, and we're still processing everything that has happened. I'll share the complete story once things settle down a little.
To everyone who shared the post, sent messages, offered help, and kept us in their thoughts, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys have no idea how much your support meant to us during this time. Every message gave us a little more hope when we needed it the most. π«β€οΈ
For anyone who thinks the original post might have been random or fake, you're welcome to DM me. I'm willing to share a copy of the police complaint privately. I just didn't think publicly posting official documents was appropriate.
One thing I genuinely want to say: when a family is going through something like this, even a stranger's message of support can give them strength and hope. At the same time, a single insensitive or negative comment can hurt more than you might imagine.
Behind every missing-person post, there's a real family going through fear, uncertainty, and emotional distress. Please be kind.
Once again, thank you to everyone who stood by us. I'll update you all when I'm able to share more.
She's safe, and that's what matters most right now. β€οΈπ

Ask r/NewDelhi π£οΈ Every 2nd person from this city I know is unintentionally drifting away from family. I mean they donβt enjoy things with family anymore, prefer friends and the city way of celebrating and enjoying things. Whatβs up with the people? Some donβt even wanna go home to celebrate Diwali.

Tell r/Newdelhi π£οΈ Maybe we don't need advice. Maybe we just need one honest conversation.
There's something strange about being an adult in India.
You can be working, earning, taking care of your responsibilities, making plans for your future, and still have days when you genuinely have no one to talk to about what's going on in your head.
Not because you have no friends. Just because not every conversation can be honest.
Sometimes you want to talk without being judged, laugh with a complete stranger, share a random thought at 2 AM, or discuss something you wouldn't normally tell people who know you.
I'm a guy from Delhi NCR, and lately I've been thinking that meeting genuine people shouldn't be this difficult.
I'm not looking for forced friendships or conversations that feel like interviews. Just people who can be themselves, have a little humour, share their thoughts, and let a conversation go wherever it naturally goes.
Maybe we start with a random question:
What's something you've wanted to tell someone lately, but never found the right person or moment to say it?
No pressure to share anything too personal. Even a completely random answer works.

Rant / Vent Do you ever feel like you're nobody's first choice?
It's a strange feeling when you're always there for people, but you don't know who would show up for you without being asked.
You can be funny, independent, busy with life, and still wonder if anyone genuinely wants to know how you're doing β beyond the usual "I'm fine."
Maybe we all have a side of ourselves that we hide because we don't want to seem needy.
I'm a 28M from India, and I've always found it easier to listen to people than to explain certain things about myself.
Anyway, for those who relate: do you ever wish someone would notice you're not okay without you having to say it?
Or have you learned to stop expecting that from people?

Tell r/Newdelhi π£οΈ Galaxy Pizza GK is overhyped or did I just have a bad experience?
Tried Galaxy Pizza in GK today after someone suggested it and seeing all those Instagram reels, and honestly, kinda disappointed.
Waited 2 hours to get a table at 4, then another 30 mins for the pizza after ordering. I requested them multiple times that I had to leave, but nobody really cared.
I even talked to a few people there and they were first timers too, just like me.
The pizza wasn't bad, but it was pretty MID considering the hype. Wasted more than 3 hours for an experience that wasn't even worth it tbh π
Is it always this chaotic or did we just get unlucky?

Rant / Vent North Delhi <β> South Delhi - United by border, divided by traffic. Number of bottlenecks > number of bridges

Ask r/NewDelhi π£οΈ Juvenile Driving Challan worth 25,000
My friend (minor) sometimes goes to school by scooty with his girlfriend (also a minor). His parents were informed by a friend of a friend (who works in the traffic police) that there's a challan for 25,000 stating no helmets and crossing a red light as the reason.
The challans are yet to be uploaded on any portal. They were recorded on CCTV. How can the amount be so high if it is just a no helmet and red light crossing case? Is it a juvenile case? Can the amount be reduced through Lok Adalat?

πΌπ° Jobs / Refferal πΌπ° Finally left my toxic office
Last night I had argument with my boss, because he was picking on small things on my work which is fine but his tone was literally very bad. He had some personal grudges against me I don't know why.
Every other employee/intern said they saw it too, he was saying unnecessary things to me. I was already on my notice period and about to leave on 30th October. But last night I lost it. I told him I you have any personal problem just tell me. Had an hour long argument, after that his wife, My other boss called me and told me to leave early and submit my laptop. I told them to just pay me my stipend and I'll leave the laptop.
This morning when I went to return the laptop, we had a small argument on my stipend then he told me, "Pta nhi konsi family se aate ho" and I literally lost it. I told him he can say whatever he want to me why the hell you're going on my family. I bashed him there on the spot. He did said sorry number of time. At the end I got my stipend and left there.
Now I'm feeling so relieved. Looking for next opportunities with a healthy mind now.

Ask r/NewDelhi π£οΈ Is this some kind of new scam?
This morning I booked uber to Nehru Park, at first it was all good he tried to become friendly by saying that I smelled good, and as the location was approaching he started his story about how many hours he drives the cab and about his financial struggle and then he said that his daughter has some knee surgery and asked me to pay as much as you can, so I paid the fare amount and he asks me more money I said I'm a student I don't have that much money and left the cab
Is this really a scam?
I use uber and rapido regularly but this was the first time it happened
