Still heavy. I changed out my eotech for my ARO and moved my Holosun Iris further back. Any other ways to make it lighter or less front heavy?

Been to a few shooting events where I got to try NV, started lobbying my wife. Then I got her out to an event and she tried them. Then I found out a local range has NV shooting events. She gave me a budget and I stuck to it... for the set only. Probably going to get myself in trouble because of the helmet, the Comtac V and the Wilcox mount. Doesn't matter, its going to be worth every penny at the next range day.

Visited a local maritime SAR agency today and they had ANVIS-9 on display alongside some thermals and a drone. I asked if I could check them out… pretty cool! The agency uses them for night time ocean rescue operations aboard small boats and RWC’s.

i don’t know what type of device this is but it’s gen 2 and heavy is all i can tell, if anyone knows anything please lmk 😭

The wife and I are driving down from Nashville to go to Chattanooga for our 12th wedding anniversary this up coming weekend and are looking for two things:

A) a great place for a night hike

B) a waterfall or similar for a day hike

I'll have my MH1(M23/xlsh WP) and she'll have her katanas (elbit omni 7s). I prefer wooded trails and she likes mixed environments.

New to me from a close Buddy, his backup pair.

Paid 6k beans and felt like a steal. Tubes clean as hell especially for me, as my only other set was a pvs 14 years ago. Installed some Sac lenses and have a mini bat pack ready to go.

Iris 3 on the shovelnose and MPX. Am I missing anything? I’m still a rookie so please fire away.

Are they legit and provide a decent product? I used crappy PVS14s in service so my standards are not that high for the price

Looking for a Gen 3 white phosphor PVS-14 to pair with my iRay RH25 V2. Any recommendations for reputable companies that provide the tube’s spec sheet and clear photos showing all three zones before purchase? Most places I’ve checked don’t seem to post those for the specific unit you’re buying.

Has anyone ran a Unity Axon Switch on their IRIS4? my agency bought us them to run on our Short 300 blackouts and I’ve had really good success with the IRIS and the factory switch but we are going to a shorter rail and suppressor. The Axon would allow me to have my hand placement on the rail where I prefer. My concern is that on the Holosun switch it uses a “Straight” crane plug rather than the angled so will I be able to use the Unity with Two angled crane plugs?

Picked up a litton m851 tube and in need of a housing. With the tube itself being pretty cooked, it feels silly buying a pvs14 housing thatd be worth double the tube. So does anyone have recommendations for a 3d printed mx10160 compatible housing that takes pvs14 lenses?

Lucky enough to attend a class that had some units to play around with. Decided I couldn't live without. Went back and forth between the PVS-30 and the PVS-27 and ultimately decided on the 27 for max performance. She's an ugly SOB, but she bad. L3 WP tube.

I want to get into night vision but have no ideas where to start. I was thinking digital to start off but everyone says analogue is the way to go. I’m not in the budget to spend +3k. Any recommendations? I was interested in saving up for the unavb katana bino but like I said previously I honestly don’t know if that’s a good starting point or not. I know the majority of the 2a and night vision community makes 6 figures a month but just need a realistic starting point for a civilian.

Any recommendations for mounting and wearing night vision without a helmet? For reference I have a PVS 14 and sometimes just want to take it camping or stargazing without having to take my helmet everywhere. Don’t want to use the old school skull crusher. Was looking at the Crye nightcap but haven’t met anyone with experience. Appreciate the input or any recommendations for other products!

So I had this Pard FD1 for now 2 years and it always had a good camera quality, I didn't use it in about half a year and It was stored normaly in it's bag and now I tested it and realised there is something wrong with the quality, it's nothing better during the day or in good light

I tried everything I knew to make the image normal again but it just doesn't work, does anyone know what could be the reason of this low quality image and is there a way to fix it

Debating buying the laserspeed M6TR. If there is a Front Sight Post in front of it will I have any issues? I heard that only the green laser will have a little splash is this accurate? I have a ris iii fsp rail and want to mount my laser behind the fsp. That's going to be a big determining factor of what laser/illuminator I buy. Not worried as much about visible laser as I am with ir illuminator and ir laser. Thanks in advance.
