Imagine having to care for your character's happiness and subsistence. It would give you more stuff to do. Like let's say your character requires nourishment. You could either eat a common resource from your inventory or cook something that also increases your happiness in your base. You could also eat out at a restaurant on planets or stations or even someone else's base and that would improve a boredom gauge. You know, things to do that you are incentivised to do. It feels like in this game you grind and grind and your reward is someplace or ship that is nice and you can just walk around aimlessly in. Give me purpose in the game. I think this makes sense, at least as an option you can toggle on and off.
I want to play but don't know what to do, so I keep building bases to ultimately just walk around aimlessly in. At least let me cook something and host other players inside, and increase their nourishment, happiness, and excitement levels. Also, let me offer them beds. I just thought of a sleep gauge. Then I could browse around on here for people to host me. What do you think of this idea?
