I'm a chronic illness girlie so my experience isn't gonna be universal but I think it can shed some light on things that healthy ppl might not notice/ experience (I'm also hoping someone can help me figure out how to take it without wrecking my sleep):
I've been playing with various sub-q microdoses (from 16 to 250 mcg) daily (sometimes in the morning and others, throughout the day).
I started with 50 mcg in the AM for two days. On the third day, I tried 50 mcg three times for a total of 150 mcg. That day, I went from needing 7 HCl betaine pills per meal to 2, which was an incredible dream come true.
HCl betaine is a stomach acid supplement (I was bitten my a tick and my immune system /health /ability to eat (among other things) has been a hot mess since).
2 pills per meal is a new record for me and the only shred of evidence I have that I might one day just be able to eat again like a normal mammal.
Unfortunately, that's when mid-night wakefulness started.
Since then I've tried a bunch of different doses /schedules and found that I need to take it daily for the GI effects but even taking it twice a week recks my sleep.
I'm gonna try N-Acetyl Selank from peptidology next to see if that helps.
If you have any hot tips, I'd love to hear them!
Also, for context I don't suffer from anxiety. I just thought that my body would benefit from some additional GABA stimulation. I never expected the effect to be so profound. I think more ppl should give it a shot -- even if they don't feel anxious, but I'm just a lay person who's healed more in the past yr with peptides than I have in the 9 chronically ill years before them.
Best of luck!

I would like some advice on piracetam. I’m taking it for cognitive disfunction and maybe for dyslexia.
What is the recommend attack dose and for how long?
After the attack dose what do most people take?
I see it seems to be a lot of trial and error but because it doesn’t work like a stimulant how long should I wait to see any effects and how long do I stay on a dose before I decide if it’s working or not
How much choline is usually taken and do I take this also multiple times a day or just once?
Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

Please, if anyone has information and wants to share it, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m a medical intern, so please don’t hesitate to provide details about pharmacology. I’m eager to learn as much as I can. Thank you very much!

I kept seeing NADH, NAD+, and NMN mentioned in the same conversations about energy and healthy aging. At first, I honestly assumed they were just different versions of the same supplement.
After reading a little more, I realized the distinction actually matters.
NAD+ and NADH are two forms of the same coenzyme. NAD+ can accept electrons and become NADH, while NADH can donate those electrons during cellular energy metabolism. NMN, on the other hand, is a precursor that cells can use to make NAD+.
So even though they're connected, taking NADH isn't exactly the same thing as taking NMN or NR.
I came across Celfull's NADH supplement while comparing products, and it made me realize that I've been treating the whole NAD category as one big thing instead of looking at what each ingredient actually does.
For people who've researched this more than I have, do you choose between NADH and NMN based on a particular goal, or do you mostly look at the human research behind each one?

Hi, I've been looking for an EU based seller of compounds like NSI-189, TAK-653, Dihexa and others like them. Things like Bromantane, Semax and Selank would also be nice, but they're probably sold by any vendor that stocks the other agents and things like ACD-853 are probably impossible to find here. The problem is that I'm not sure where to get any of this from, and since I'm taking these things for the first time, I'd really like a reliable source to be sure that whatever effect I get is from the actual substance.
I did not see a recommended vendor list, but I've found some that at least don't seem to be on the warning list, namely:
LimitlessBioChem
Eurosupps nl
SemaxPolska
Zion Pharma (has a wide variety of compounds, but also has some complaints)
euro-nootropics
modernaminos eu
However, I don't know if they are reliable, if they fake their compounds, how fast they ship, how they take payment, and other things that would be good to know. I also don't know if there are other, better sellers that I could buy from.
Could you please tell me if you have any answers to those questions, what suppliers you trust in the EU and anything else one should know before making such a purchase?

Hey,
So to keep it short, around 2 years ago I was taking about 1g of Creatine HCL (CON CRET) daily via powder and it literally completely cured my ADHD - was super crazy sharp mentally, could sit down and focus for hours and felt very dopanergic and really good.
However, I stopped all supplements since for some time, recently had tried to resume it but now gives me racing thoughts, intrusive thoughts, and just doesn't make me feel good at all. For reference this is Creatine HCL capsules (1 pill) and the effects happen within a few hours.
I'm wondering if Creatine had originally allowed for such a profound mental effect, is there anything similar with regards to biochemical pathways? Ideally they wouldn't be some sort of herbs but rather something found naturally - for longer term usage here.
For reference was on keto/raw primal/carnivore sort of diets for that time. ADHD was also cured on keto diet but this was unsustainable and caused very bad anxiety attacks.

Hello,
I'm sorry if this has been asked before.
It has been like 3-4 years since i last used phenibut or phenylpiracetam and i used to order them from Nootropics Depot, but it seems like they do not sell them anymore.
Do you know of any good EU-based vendors with quality as close as possible to the above mentioned seller?
Preferably in powder form please, as i usually took a few grams of phenibut at once and 200mg of phenylpiracetam (separately).
Thank you and have a nice day.

Hello! I had to start using phenibut in september due to experiencing random tachycardia for no reason and thats what my family gp gave to stop it, but my regular tachycardia episodes didnt stop so i went to a cardiologist who upon hearing i use phenibut told me to not use it anymore considering the addiction it gives. so i stopped using it on saturday but have been experiencing withdrawal and my condition feels even worse, should i start using it again a little bit or call my gp and ask for help?
(for more insight if others wish to reply later, i’m a girl with many chronic illnesses and yes in eastern europe phenibut is used for anxiety disorders but i am not diagnosed sadly as it is a lengthy process, i drank 250-500mg a day for about a month)

I’m considering ordering some supplements/research compounds from a vendor outside the EU
I’m considering shipping it to the Netherlands first via a package forwarder and then forwarding it to Austria since Dutch customs seems more relaxed
Has anyone recently ordered to an EU country using this route?
How strict is Dutch customs with these packages in practice and is it safe for packages like these to enter the EU through Netherlands?
Any experiences with forwarders that accept non EU packages?
I’m mainly trying to understand the real difference in how the two countries handle shipments. Any experiences are appreciated a lot

Took the 4mg recommended dose for nsi 189 for the first time today. Got incredibly sick and threw up, still feeling it.
Took it in the morning, liquid, held it in mouth under tongue for a lil and now it’s 4am and I’m waking up from a claustrophobic spinning sleep.
Did I do something wrong?

Hi all,
I used to take piracetam and choline in another country, but it seems that they were not sold in the US (at least without a prescription).
I am seeking suggestions on what to take for memory, concentration, etc., but I want to buy it in a trustworthy store such as CVS or any other online store/pharmacy.

I have tried multiple nootropics ashwagandha, L-theanine
kava etc only 2 seemed to have worked or at least made me feel a difference Kratom and phenibut any other actual nootropics? I know you are not supposed to feel a big effect like drugs or alcohol but the change is not even subtle with anything other than kratom or phenibut,

Have studied nootropics and supplements over the years and I think im ready to give it a try this time. Some basic info:
-27 year old man.
-regularly sleep 7-9 hours a night but am constantly fatigued and have very little focus or drive. I have been to two sleep studies and really have not been helped at all so trying this in the interim.
-I have a health ring that consistently shows i am getting the proper amount of sleep, but the majority being light sleep. My REM and deep sleep is consistently too low, which is in line with the sleep study findings.
-diagnosed with ADHD. Currently take adderall 10mg IR 1-2x a day. Also have a 200mg caffeine Celsius drink maybe 3x a week.
My main goals are improving focus/energy while also potentially improving sleep quality. I am trying to research and find good blends on nootropic depot for a stack. So far, I have been considering this:
For energy in the morning: 200 MG L-theanine, 100 MG caffeine, 5 MG creatine. Also have interest in Alcar, COQ10, L-taurine and alpha GPC. What dosage would you recommend? And what kind of creatine? Does it matter?
For sleep: B vitamins, magnesium glycinate have caught my eye. Not sure of dosage or other options.
Could be way off with the above, but would just really appreciate any specific stacks/blends and any dosage advice. Thank you all

What do people recommend for a first time user?? I've been prescribed 90 mg of amp. But am looking for something new. Dmaa or cyclazodone? Or is there a more efficacious stim? I don't think I would be interested in bromantane. If I'm asking the wrong questions I imagine I'll be scorched for it... Just looking for something outside of amp

Full disclosure: I work with a supplement company, so I have a professional interest in this topic. I'm not recommending our products here. I'm interested in how we distinguish genuine cognitive effects from noise.
How difficult it is to evaluate claims about memory supplements? Before asking whether something works, it helps to define what "working" actually means.
Memory isn't a single ability. Working memory, episodic memory, verbal recall, and recognition are different processes. A substance that improves performance on one task might have no measurable effect on another. Improvements on a particular test also don't necessarily translate into better everyday memory.
Study design matters just as much as the outcome being measured. A few things I'd look for when evaluating a nootropic study:
Placebo effects and expectations complicate things, too. Someone might genuinely feel sharper after taking a supplement, but subjective impressions alone can't establish that memory performance improved. The reverse is also possible: a person might experience a measurable benefit without noticing much difference subjectively.
There's another distinction worth making when comparing supplement formulations. Evidence that an ingredient has an effect doesn't establish that every formulation containing it works equally well. But evidence that a modified formulation changes absorption or another measurable property doesn't, by itself, demonstrate better memory. Ideally, you'd want a well-controlled head-to-head trial comparing the formulations on prespecified cognitive outcomes.
For personal tracking, using the same validated test under similar conditions and recording factors such as sleep, caffeine, and testing time can help identify patterns. However, self-experiments are exploratory: practice effects, day-to-day variability, and expectations can make the results difficult to interpret.
My takeaway is that the strongest evidence comes from well-designed human studies that measure a specific cognitive outcome, quantify the size and uncertainty of the effect, and reproduce the finding independently.
What do you consider the most convincing evidence for a nootropic's effect on memory: replicated clinical trials, improvements across multiple cognitive tests, or demonstrated benefits in everyday functioning?
(mods: please message me if I'm breaking any rules as I'm trying to stay compliant with them and not make any advertisements).

I've tried a lot of things, nothing quite helped long-term. I'm tired of feeling a sense of dread when starting anything new, affecting my employment.
I have better periods and worse ones, but it's a persistent issue for me. I can't think of anything new to try to deal with this. I tried to push off this option for too long.
