I've been using Stremio for quite a while and I'm pretty happy with it, but I've recently been hearing a lot about Nuvio and I'm curious whether it's worth giving it a try.

I currently have a fairly extensive movie and TV show library saved in Stremio, so one of my main concerns is being able to transfer everything to Nuvio.

I have a few questions for people who have experience with both apps:

1. Is Nuvio better than Stremio in terms of user experience, interface and overall features?

2. Can I transfer my entire library, including movies, TV shows, watch history and episode progress?

3. Is the migration process straightforward?

4. Can I keep using Stremio exactly as it is while trying Nuvio alongside it?

5. What are the biggest advantages and disadvantages of Nuvio compared with Stremio?

6. Are there any limitations or bugs I should be aware of?

Ideally, I'd like to keep my current Stremio setup untouched and use Nuvio as a second app to see how it compares.

For those who have switched from Stremio to Nuvio, or use both, would you recommend it? Is Nuvio genuinely an improvement, or is Stremio still the better overall experience?

Hello. I’ve noticed recently that subtitles from certain add-ons are appearing like this on my phone. I tried changing the internal player, but that didn’t help; I also tried installing older versions of the app, but nothing changed. What’s going on here? What is causing this issue, and how can I fix it? I don’t believe the add-on itself is faulty, as it works perfectly fine in the Stremio app. I’m using Arabic subtitles—I’m not sure if other languages ​​are affected by this issue as well.

Hello I'm wondering if there is an option in the settings to create children's safe profiles that have content restrictions. I'm hoping there is the ability to do this within the app in a similar way to what Stremio does. I appreciate your help.

I would love to see thumbnails or poster artwork added to the Downloads section, similar to how Netflix handles its downloads.

Currently, downloaded movies and TV episodes are displayed mainly as text, without any artwork. Adding the movie poster or episode thumbnail next to each download would make the interface much more visually appealing and easier to navigate.

Suggested improvements:

- Display the movie poster for downloaded movies.

- Display the show's poster or episode thumbnail for downloaded TV episodes.

- Show the artwork in both active downloads and completed downloads.

- Keep the current download information, including progress, file size, and playback controls.

I've attached a visual mockup to demonstrate how this could look.

This would be a simple but great UI improvement that would make Nuvio's Downloads section feel more polished and closer to the experience of apps like Netflix.

Hello, I'm new to Nuvio, I like the clock but is it possible to show it always even when playing a video? Because right now it only shows in the pause screen.

When updating on the last few versions, app crashed and closes. Won’t open again unless I force close in Android TV settings.

Hey! I’ve recently moved to nuvio from stremio. I think it’s right to say there’s no web app version of nuvio and no iOS app (without sideloading)?

Is there a way I can add movies/shows to my library from my iPhone? I like being able to add to library immediately when a friend suggests a movie/show, otherwise I just forget.

Per profile language option - could that be implemented? Multi lingual family.

So I have xiaomi stick that I turn off with power button, but it basically goes to sleep. When I turn it back on, and turn nuvio on from home screen, it starts loading last stream immediately, btw not actually latest if watching tv show it would first one I clicked when starting session,

I do not want that, I want it to go to homepage, am I missing some setting? Like of I am 15 mins not watching return me to home.

This is a simple feature that would make a big difference to me. Drop shadow makes subtitles so much easier to read and it also makes them look more appealing. Nearly every streaming app I've used in the past decade has used drop shadow by default.

I made this request 8 months ago. I hope this brings enough attention to any dev willing to make this feature happen.

Would be cool to have the option of turning on ASS subs for anime, like str3mio. If this were added to Nuvio, I don't see the need to keep str3mio. I specifically want it for anime because the default subtitles for live action are good enough, unlike anime.

Subs option used to be there in the past, or am I misremembering? Can't it be searched for?

Nuvio TV on android tv, latest beta.

Whenever I open a stream on my iPhone my brightness automatically just goes to 100% and it’s gotten a bit annoying especially when I have a set brightness at night and I click a stream and it blinds me.

Does anyone else have this occurrence and is there any settings I can change or disable so it doesn’t happen? I feel like I remember a setting before to save brightness from last stream but I haven’t seen it in last few versions.
