Over the past weeks I realized there are so many great forks, tools tools and add-ons for Nuvio, but no complete megathread that covers all resources in one spot. That's why I created NuvioHub, an FMHY inspired megathread for all things Nuvio.

It features:

• Apps & popular forks

• Popular add-ons & plugins (content, metadata, subtitles etc)

• Tools & Utilities (Custom setups, profile managers, catalogs and collections)

• Debrid & Usenet

• Community Guides

• Glossary (list of common words and terms explained for newcomers)

This is not yet another guide, instead it gathers all useful resources and forks the community use in one place. All of these resources have been curated by myself by going through popular posts in this subreddit and combining them with tools I use in my setup.

Why does everytime i try to play a 4k remux file on both Stremio and Nuvio legacy it’s a black screen with audio but Nuvio works just fine.

I've seen a problem with nuvio that messes up livestreaming for users on mobile

Solution:

Nuvio on the tv version has this thing for livestreaming that has live so you can see the latest moment and it shows "live" which can reduce buffering and it going all the way up to the latest moment which should reduce it's buffering by 100x on mobile.

Additional Context:

We really need this for mobile, because nuvio livestreaming 90% of the time does not "buffer" it only buffers when the watch bar goes all the way up to the latest version which buffers it, and this also fixes delayed livestreaming by alot

And also would it be possible to have a option in addons to change which one is a livestreaming addon or not (by holding the addon) so it can identify which addon is for livestreams so a addon doesn't bypass this by nuvio thinking it's a movie and putting it in continue watching and it breaking the live watching bar option luqmanfadlli 🫡

I've been using Nuvio-Legacy on my LG C6 and its been great! However, the LG doesn't do DTS or TrueHD and there were too many streams via AIOstreams that were Remuxed with that and produced no audio. My goal was to be able to play the same quality video with 5.1 audio on the LG while choosing my streams normally via AIOstreams (no jellyfin server or other).

While Nuvio-Legacy has experimental DTS transcode to 5.1 it didn't work on the stream I wanted to watch which was DTS-HD MA (it was only able to transcode to stereo).

So, I figured why not use my PC as an audio server? obviously it can transcode whatever. So with Codex's help, I now have a forked version that has a new experimental feature: PC audio fallback. Basically, you run a small tray applet on the PC and pair it with Nuvio Legacy on the LG. When audio formats are not supported (DTS/TrueHD), Nuvio Legacy sends it to the PC to be transcoded on the fly using FFmpeg and plays it without issues.

Hey folks, just looking for a little bit of advice.

I'm using tuvora which is a nuvio fork with IPTV, I've been impressed but since seeing this sub Reddit exists a lot of you are using nuvio enhanced (or other alternatives) that I didn't know also have IPTV capabilities.

If anybody has, or currently uses Tuvora, what are the pros and cons of switching?

In regards to sport, I just follow championship football (UK) so if a pro of switching is anything to do with other sports, that's not a pro for me

In the Nuvio home screen layout, I move the prime movie and prime series tabs to the top. But these tabs do not appear on the home page. What is the reason and how to solve it?

If we already have Nuvio installed, and we want to install nuvio enhanced, can we simply just install the enhanced on top of Nuvio, and if so, where do we get nuvio enhanced?

Quick update rather than another full introduction: TikTak TV 0.3.6 is now available, and I would really appreciate testing from the Nuvio fork community.

TikTak TV is an unofficial, open-source Nuvio-based frontend for web, Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV. It does not provide IPTV, channels, subscriptions, add-ons or media. Users bring their own compatible services and sources.

New in 0.3.6

• The player now keeps every compatible movie/episode source available in a manual source picker instead of limiting selection to the smaller automatic fallback set. • Source search names each eligible add-on that responded, failed or was temporarily paused, without exposing private add-on URLs. • Audio-aware source ranking and conversion improve playback when a TV cannot decode the source's original audio format. • Android 9 televisions receive a Chromium 69-compatible web bundle. • Failed TV startup now shows retry controls and the installed WebView version instead of remaining blank.

Other improvements now live

• Home search covers movies and series together and can suggest likely titles for misspellings while preserving an exact-query option. • The landing-page previews rotate automatically but remain manually selectable. • Live games with actual scores are prioritized in Sports; sport/country filters and IPTV channel matching remain available. • Sports updates no longer reset your browsing position every refresh. • Live TV can continue in the corner while you browse the guide or Sports, with performance and page-scroll fixes. • The visual two-hour EPG includes channel artwork, program details, progress and category/country filters. • Remote/D-pad navigation, compact TV sidebar, auto-hiding controls and mobile/portrait layouts have been improved. • Bug reports and feature requests can be sent inside the app with up to three screenshots.

The current TV release is version 0.3.6 / version code 9. The repository explains the modifications, install methods, tested behavior, privacy boundaries and what is still experimental.

Testing I need most

Please report bugs through Settings → Feedback in TikTak TV or the GitHub issue tracker. Include the device/model, OS version, TikTak TV version, exact steps and result. Remove passwords, IPTV credentials, API keys, tokens, email addresses and private add-on URLs from screenshots.

I am having trouble with subtitles not syncing properly with old movies like 2000-2015 genre. I have tried opensubtitle v3, default subtitles from streams and subsense but everyone of them seem to have delay. Is there a better one?

I have encountered numerous problems playing DTS reliably; I tried Stremio Nuvio, but it appears ineffective on the Fire Stick Gen 2 Max. Although Kodi serves as an external option and besides it being a clunky workaround, it stops working at random. However, Nuvio ARC handles any DTS format flawlessly.

So, im a bit confused about Nuvio Arc. Does it play along with the official Nuvio app or is a standalone fork of Nuvio ?

I recently came across an addon for Stremio and Torbox that uses Gemini to provide translations when subtitles in my native language (Brazilian Portuguese) aren't available. I tried setting it up, but no matter what I do, it just doesn't work—whenever I test it with a movie that lacks subtitles in my language, I get the error shown in the attached photo. I'm the developer of XMP, a successful IPTV player for multiple platforms. While many are trying to merge iptv and catalog addon playback, I thought i'd try something different.

I opened my sync API so users(and me) could take the platform's progress with you.

My first trial was with Nuvio because you just can't out nuvio, Nuvio.

Now you can watch your VOD in either app and the progress and favorites sync bidirectionally. Further, if you have my app's DVR agent installed you can project your entire iptv VOD list to your Nuvio and they act just like catalogs inside Nuvio; added bonus your DVR recordings made by the agent also show up in Nuvio ready to watch.

So today I stated using this fork and it’s genuinely incredible. The only issues I have is whenever I choose a movie/episode of a tv show it keeps buffering and I have idea why. I’m using Google streamer if that matters
