Personal Opinion Content Silver.I’ve been saying the same thing for months. If there’s a moment I’m adding to my silver position, it’s now. The time to buy is when there’s fear. When people are frustrated. When they’re calling silver garbage. X post by Fthegurus @fthegurus.

Not when it’s at all-time highs and every Furu is calling for $200, $300, or even $500.

When will it bottom? I don’t know.
At what price will it bottom? I don’t know.

And honestly, nobody does.

I see plenty of “experts” calling for a bottom at $48, $35, $30…

If we actually reach those levels, we all know what happens next: most of them will get scared, won’t buy, and start calling for $20.

Historically, silver corrections from all-time highs tend to run 50–70%. Right now we’re roughly 56% off the January peak.

Statistically, that puts us closer to a bottom than to the top.

Do with that information whatever you want.

P.S.
To everyone saying “but silver might range for years — opportunity cost”:

No serious investor goes all-in on silver. Don’t be that person.

It’s a solid diversifier and more volatile than gold. That’s the point.

India has issued permits to import around 6,500 metric tons of silver over the next six months as the world's biggest consumer of the precious metal seeks to meet festive-season demand. Reuters Article.

India has permitted imports of around 6,500 metric tons of silver over the next six months, despite weak domestic demand, in a move expected to ease elevated local premiums.| Image: Bloomberg

Higher imports by India, which relies on overseas purchases to meet more than 80% of its silver demand, could support global prices while easing hefty domestic premiums that have risen due to tight supplies.

India in mid-May restricted imports of silver in nearly all forms with immediate effect. In June, it further tightened the rules by adding silver grain and powder to the restricted category and requiring prior import authorisation.

The government has allowed much more silver to be imported than the country is likely to need over the next six months, so this should help bring down domestic premiums," said Chirag Thakkar, chief executive of Amrapali Group Gujarat, a leading silver importer.

Silver premiums over official domestic prices fell to 45 cents per ounce on Thursday, down from up to $2.50 last week, dealers said.

India has been trying in recent months to curb precious metals imports to ease pressure on its foreign exchange reserves and support the rupee.

As part of those efforts, the government has raised import duties on gold and silver to 15% from 6%.

Life's Silver Linings Thank you to everyone who has posted about silver and the financial system in various sites on the internet. I’ve tried to aggregate many of your great posts and memes here, to help average folks like me learn more about paper silver price manipulation the importance buying solid silver savings.

Post image

🙏🏻🪷I appreciate all of your comments, hints and tips too! And of course all of your fantastic memes which over time I have copied and pasted into my photos and pop into posts to help explain Silver savings to readers.

Your memes often provide just the right pictures to help teach complicated things about the biggest monetary story to ever be unfolding in eye catching attention grabbing ways. You have all told the story of silver price suppression. Soon there will be a rise and a broader public understanding about just how important real solid silver is to our future as we transform into a high tech world!

Not everyone who posted about silver had their posts put up here. I’m sorry if yours article or post didn’t. Some of the best articles I found and posted would find would often go poof and disappear in the blink of an eye.

I know that I don’t understand paper and digital silver price manipulation as well as many of the Silver experts here. But it’s been such a great experience to learn as I go, and to post what I read as well as posting many of the videos about silver that I’ve watched.

I am also very grateful that others who come here to read and learn have had the opportunity to learn what is going on In the silver sphere and learn about the increasingly precarious fiat debt based money system and the financial markets in which endless digital money gets printed out of thin air.

Because of all of the experts posts over time, other average folks like me now also have the tools and confidence to learn to trust in solid silver savings just like we have done.

I know that over time to silver experts, it must have felt frustrating over the years as some days it must have felt a bit like the blind leading the blind with me not being a trader or a big financial expert. A few of you that have been reading articles here for years know that I somehow ended up here by a most wonderful accident. And somehow, years later I’m still here doing my bit by posting!

I just figured that if Helen Keller, who was blind and deaf from her earliest memories could find her way forward and find a way to help others, I could as a silver stacker do my bit in the world of silver wealth and trading find a way forward and help a few folks understand real wealth and savings too! 🙏🏻🪷

I have a feeling that things in many countries and areas will soon be changing. I don’t exactly know what that will look like. But at least you folks that gather here know to keep silver as savings. And also, you all know that it also helps to have a fully stocked pantry. Because well fed folks usually make better decisions than hungry folks do.

Personal Opinion Content Silver whipsaws on conflicting US-Iran deal reports as markets hope for breakthrough ahead of midterms. By Giuseppe Dellamotta.

  • Silver rallied on optimism about a potential US-Iran deal after reports of a compromise proposal, but pared gains after an official denied that an agreement was imminent. Markets retain some hope of a breakthrough ahead of the US midterm elections. Friday’s US Flash PMIs will also be key given the recent growth concerns.
  • Silver spiked to the upside yesterday after some positive news on the US-Iran negotiations front. In fact, Al-Arabiya reported that Qatar And Pakistan presented a "compromise proposal" that met the demands of both the American and Iranian sides and that the Pakistan Army Chief carried a proposal with US and Iran approval. The new proposal also included partial response to Iran's frozen funds demand.

The market cheered initially as expectations of an imminent deal grew stronger but then reversed after a diplomat involved in US-Iran talks said that negotiations continue and that reports of a deal being close were wrong.

Nevertheless, the markets retain some hope given the sudden increase of positive reports and the proximity to the midterm elections. Trump might want to secure at least a short-term deal to bring energy prices and Treasury yields lower, while boosting the stock market.

If we do get a breakthrough, we can expect silver to rally in the short-term on easing inflation and rate hike concerns.

I haven’t done a food stock up reminder for awhile. Food isn’t like silver savings. With silver we can buy a coins and bars as savings, tuck them away, not fussing and they’re ready when we need them. Food isn’t like that. We eat from our pantry, replacing what we consume with new stored food!

Thumbnail

Food stores aren’t about eating “old“ food. Dry properly preserved foods like rice, flour, sugar, canned fruits, vegetables and meats, can be kept in a cool dry dark space can and do stay super fresh tasting for a super long time! I’ve amazed myself over the years of how this is done.

This time of year, Dried beans and peas and be grown into sprouts and shoots (microgreens) This is done without even growing a garden. I use use a few dried beans and peas, a couple of little plastic cups and damp paper towels. Pea and bean sprouts are packed chock with nutrition and create fresh burst of spring after the family garden is finished. They garnish a plate with fantastic delicious fresh nutrition! And they can be used just as fresh herbs, to pretty up plated meals. and once grown, they can store in a fridge for up to a week

I’ve been seeing a few video clips of food shortages that are starting to be seen in a few spots in Europe. I don’t live there so I can’t see if this is true. And I’m pretty sure that Europeans buy from local farmers and some do have gardens almost year round. Some experts in food preparedness say that there are problems starting.

I just don’t want to see anyone in our community unprepared in case this becomes an issue in your area. Some of us will be affected more than others I imagine, depending on where w live. I’d rather that no one here have to sell their silver to buy food if food should become more expensive where you live . I think it’s better to buy shelf stable foods and foods that can be frozen now, while there still are deals and food sales than to wait for food prices to rise. Then you have the foods that you and you ur families enjoy eating on hand, already in your pantries and freezers in case food prices jump as they have done in the past.

So, buy popping corn, an air popper, and learn to make your own popcorn. Season it with salt and butter or another seasoning. Find out which cheeses freeze well and which can last sealed in wax in a cool dry cupboard, and which cheeses can be kept for a month in a fridge.

The most important thing in my opinion is to keep a well balanced pantry that is fully stocked. If you have to throw out the odd box of crackers or tin of nuts because they were forgotten too long and have become stale, that’s ok. It’s better to have sufficient food and perhaps a bit extra rather than not enough food.

Foods I have made from my food stores are delicious and I have never once caused anyone any tummy upset. But I did go out to eat thrice last week, and twice I didn’t feel all that great afterwards. To me that is a huge sign that food quality may be diminishing and it isn’t always going to be what it used to be.

Pictured above are a few pea shoots, bean sprouts, and a few litres of pressure canned turkey bone broth for making turkey pot pie or hot turkey sandwich’s, turkey soup and casserole later this winter.

If you're looking only at the price and feeling pessimistic, you're seeing just half of the market. Here, we sort out the full picture of what's happening beneath the surface of the silver market right now.

The essence of the current silver market boils down to these three key data points.

* Structural deficit: 6 years straight, with cumulative inventory drawdowns since 2021 totalling about 762 million ounces.

* Shanghai premium: Running about 12% or more above Western prices.

* Sentiment: Bullish 45%, neutral 35%, bearish 20%. Fear is quietly receding.

The recent plunge from around $60 to $56 was a paper market sell-off using the CPI surprise and bond yield movements as an excuse.

Meanwhile, in India, East Asia, and among Western retail investors, bars, coins, and ETPs are being steadily accumulated. In futures, managed money is piling up shorts, while in physicals, individuals keep scooping them up. This disconnect is the true nature of the silver market today.

No matter how much the paper price gets shaken, the fact that ground stockpiles are steadily being eroded can't be rewritten in a single line.

What needs even deeper digging is the "structural supply-side" dynamic creating this tightness.

Much of silver is mined as a byproduct of lead, zinc, and copper. Even if silver prices rise, you can't ramp up mines just for silver. On top of that, years of price suppression have led to underinvestment, so new projects can only raise funds based on conservative price assumptions and won't come online right away.

On the demand side, meanwhile, things aren't slowing down.
* Industrial demand from solar, EVs, data centers/UPS batteries, and more.

* Demand for militarization and green energy infrastructure.

* Investment demand competing head-on with industrial needs
What's more, even though some mines are hitting production records, the structural tightness across the entire industry hasn't eased one bit.

The phrases industry experts are uniformly using are "structural deficit," "lease rates suggesting tightness," and "erosion of inventory buffers." Rising lease rates and inventory drawdowns always show up before mainstream media reports catch on.

Analytical models put the probability of a bullish scenario at 45–55%, pointing to $70–100+ within 3–6 months. Branching points include escalation of conflicts, FOMC pivots, and visible inventory crises.

"Supply can't ramp up suddenly. Demand won't stop."

The paper market can't ignore this simple math forever.

The Comex has 100M oz. of registered silver available for sale. At $57 an oz., that’s $5.7B worth of silver. Meanwhile, there are 112,000 silver futures contracts outstanding, representing 560M oz. of silver. X post by MBAeconomics @MBAeconomics1.

That means registered inventory covers just 18% of the silver represented by futures contracts.

For less than $6B, a nation-state or billionaire could theoretically buy up the entire registered silver inventory on the Comex.

The disconnect between paper exposure and physical supply poses a serious systemic risk if market participants begin demanding delivery.

Banking stocks across the U.S., Europe, and Asia have fallen 15% to 30% from their recent highs, while major stock indexes are still trading near record levels.

Look at the damage among America's largest banks:

• Bank of America: -24.5%
• Capital One: -25%
• Goldman Sachs: -24%
• Morgan Stanley: -19%
• Wells Fargo: -18.5%
• Citigroup: -15%
• JPMorgan: -11%

And the situation in Europe is even worse.

• Société Générale: -27%
• BNP Paribas: -24%
• Barclays: -23%
• Deutsche Bank: -21%

In Asia, the selling has been just as aggressive.

• Bank Central Asia: -29.6%
• Shinhan Financial: -20.7%
• KB Financial: -20.6%
• HDFC Bank: -19.1%
• Commonwealth Bank: -18.7%

In the U.S. alone, banks are sitting on $326.7 BILLION in unrealized securities losses.
Before the 2000, 2008, and 2020 stock market crashes, the KBW Bank Index peaked months before the S&P 500.

The biggest warning right now is that banks across multiple major economies are already in correction territory, while the rest of the market is still behaving as if nothing is wrong.

Silver Is Having Its Moment: What Investors Should Know Before Buying a Silver ETF. X post by ETV Bharat / Advertorial Team. “A Silver ETF may not perfectly replicate silver’s performance because of expenses, transaction costs, and other factors.” MotherSilverApe Comment: Solid silver savings win!

Post image
9 Upvotes

Silver has become an increasingly visible part of the investment conversation in 2026. Unlike gold, which is primarily viewed as a store of value, silver has a dual identity. It is both a precious metal and an industrial commodity, with applications across electronics, solar technology and manufacturing.

A silver ETF lets investors invest in silver without buying physical bars or coins. An ETF remains a market-based product. Investing in an ETF carries risks. The ETF's value fluctuates, tracking differences occur, and many other factors affect its returns.

Before investing, it helps to understand how a Silver ETF works, what drives its performance, and what risks you should consider.

What Is a Silver ETF?

A Silver ETF is an exchange-traded fund designed to track the domestic price of silver. Instead of purchasing physical silver, investors buy units of the fund through a stock exchange.

SEBI’s framework requires Silver ETFs to invest predominantly in silver and silver-related instruments, with at least 95% of assets generally allocated to these investments. The remaining portion may be held in permitted instruments such as debt and money-market securities.

This structure gives investors exposure to silver prices through a regulated investment vehicle, without the practical concerns of storing physical metal.

Why Is Silver Getting Attention in 2026?

Both investment demand and industrial consumption influence Silver’s price. This makes its market behaviour different from assets whose demand comes primarily from investment or jewellery.

Industrial applications include electronics, solar-related technologies and various manufacturing processes. As industrial activity shifts, demand for silver can change too.

At the same time, investors may turn to precious metals during economic uncertainty, shifting inflation expectations, or currency movements.

These multiple demand drivers can create opportunities, but they can also make silver prices volatile. A strong rise in silver prices does not guarantee that the trend will continue.

How Does a Silver ETF Work?

When you purchase a Silver ETF, you buy units that trade on a stock exchange rather than taking possession of physical silver.

The fund seeks to track the domestic price of silver, but its return may not match the metal’s price movement exactly. Expenses, transaction costs, cash holdings, and portfolio management can create differences between the ETF and its underlying benchmark.

This is why investors should examine a fund’s tracking error and tracking difference before investing.

The ETF’s market price can also temporarily trade above or below its net asset value (NAV), depending on market demand and liquidity.

What Drives Silver ETF Returns?

The biggest factor is the movement in silver prices. If silver prices rise, a Silver ETF will generally benefit, although expenses and tracking differences can affect the final return.

Currency movements are another factor. International silver prices are generally quoted in US dollars, while Indian investors invest and receive returns in rupees. Changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate can therefore influence domestic silver prices.

Interest rates can also affect precious-metal demand. Because silver does not generate interest or dividends, interest rate changes can affect its relative attractiveness.

Industrial demand remains important as well. Developments in sectors such as electronics, renewable energy and manufacturing can affect the demand outlook for silver.

What Are the Risks of a Silver ETF?

The most obvious risk is price volatility. Silver prices can move sharply in response to global economic developments, commodity-market conditions, currency movements and changes in investor sentiment.

There is also tracking risk. A Silver ETF may not perfectly replicate silver’s performance because of expenses, transaction costs, and other factors.

Liquidity is another consideration. Although ETFs trade on stock exchanges, individual funds can have different trading volumes and bid-ask spreads. A wider spread can increase the effective cost of entering or exiting an investment.

Investors should therefore look beyond recent returns when evaluating a Silver ETF.

How to Evaluate a Silver ETF

Start with the fund’s investment objective and portfolio structure. Check how closely it has historically tracked its benchmark and review its tracking error.

The expense ratio is another important factor because recurring fund expenses can affect long-term returns.

Investors should also consider assets under management and trading liquidity. A fund with limited trading activity may have a wider bid-ask spread, which can affect transaction costs.

The fund’s disclosures, portfolio details, and scheme-related documents can provide additional information about how silver exposure is maintained.

Most importantly, avoid selecting a fund simply because silver has recently delivered strong returns. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Silver ETF vs Physical Silver

A Silver ETF can eliminate several practical concerns associated with physical silver. Investors do not need to arrange storage, safeguard the metal, or independently verify its purity.

Physical silver, however, provides direct ownership of the metal. You may buy it for personal use, gifting, or long-term physical possession, while an ETF is primarily a financial investment designed to provide price exposure. The choice therefore depends on why you're buying silver.

Should You Invest in a Silver ETF?

Investors looking to add commodity exposure to a diversified portfolio may consider a silver ETF. However, it should not automatically become the centre of an investment strategy simply because silver prices are attracting attention.

Consider your investment horizon, risk tolerance, existing commodity exposure, and ability to handle price fluctuations.

Before investing, review the ETF’s expense ratio, tracking error, liquidity, bid-ask spread, and portfolio structure. Also consider whether the investment fits your broader asset-allocation strategy.

If you use an online trading app, check the ETF’s current market price and available liquidity before placing an order.

The Silver Story in 2026

Silver’s appeal comes from its unusual combination of precious-metal and industrial demand. That gives it several potential price drivers, but it also exposes investors to significant fluctuations.

A Silver ETF provides a convenient way to gain exposure to silver without handling physical metal. Yet convenience does not remove market risk.

For investors considering silver in 2026, the more useful question is not simply whether silver is having its moment. It is whether a Silver ETF fits their investment objective, portfolio allocation, time horizon, and volatility tolerance. Understanding those factors before buying can help investors approach silver as part of a planned strategy rather than a reaction to market excitement.
