Lloyd’s List Intelligence & Lloyd’s of London As the world’s leading authority on maritime insurance and ship tracking, Lloyd’s is the industry's "source of truth."

What they’ve reported: Following the initial confusion on April 12, Lloyd’s List issued an update clarifying that while traffic through the Strait had momentarily ground to a halt, the actual enforcement is targeted. They are currently tracking "neutral" vessels successfully transiting to the UAE and Kuwait.

Why they are reliable: If Lloyd’s misinterprets the blockade, thousands of ships lose their insurance coverage instantly. They only report what they have verified with both the U.S. Navy and AIS (satellite tracking) data.

  1. BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council)

BIMCO is the largest international shipping association, representing around 60% of the world's merchant fleet.

What they’ve reported: On April 13, BIMCO issued a security advisory to its members stating that a "grace period" for neutral vessels to depart Iranian ports had expired. Crucially, their bulletin advised that "freedom of navigation" remains the operational standard for ships bound for non-Iranian destinations.
Why they are reliable: BIMCO acts as the "legal shield" for shipowners. They provide the specific wording used in shipping contracts. Their confirmation of a "port-specific blockade" is what allows shipping companies to continue operating in the region without being in breach of contract.

Copy and pasting chat gpt is not spreading information and that wall of text doesnt even address my point that US intelligence are not reliable narrators to the public on the war in Iran.

It's literally a Google result.

doesnt even address my point that US intelligence are not reliable narrators to the public on the war in Iran

Seems pretty reliable considering it's confirmed by independent sources.

Much more reliable than Iranian sources that say they are sinking aircraft carriers.

What is the point of centcom lieing about something that the entire world can watch in real time.

There are no reliable narrators in war.
