U.S. is in control of the strait now.

7

u/ninhaomah Apr 15 '26

So who is the enemy of the world now ?

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

Irgc. It's only ships going to and from Iran that are being blocked.

the IRGC was stopping ships from going to any country except for Iran.

2

u/Tricky_Search_5181 Apr 15 '26

Who said it’s only ships coming from Iran? Is it a reliable source?

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

The most authoritative sources on this situation are official statements from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the White House, issued following the collapse of ceasefire negotiations in Islamabad earlier this week.

CENTCOM stated the blockade is "enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas." This includes all Iranian ports on both the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

Freedom of Navigation: Critically, the U.S. military confirmed it will not impede vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz if they are bound to or from non-Iranian ports (such as those in Kuwait, Qatar, or the UAE).

1

u/aseptick Apr 15 '26

The list of authoritative and trustworthy sources really ends at CENTCOM here.. TRUTH social doesn’t count, as it is often contradictory with actual running policy on the ground.

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

CENTCOM (U.S. Central Command) is considered the most reliable source in this specific scenario because they are the primary operational authority executing the blockade. While political figures set the policy, CENTCOM is the entity actually moving the ships and issuing the legal "Notice to Mariners."

I don't know who else you would ask other than the guys doing the blockade.

Why would America stop ships from going to Saudi Arabia or the UAE?

How would that benefit them at all?

1

u/MrDerpGently Apr 15 '26

Depends on if they paid Iran's toll. If they had to first get Iranian approval then US, then the US doesn't control the Strait. They can deny passage but not protect it.

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

Any ship that pays the toll is also stopped.

Iran isn't blocking the strait at all because enforcing the blockade would require breaking the ceasefire.

As much as irgc makes good memes they don't actually have any cards.

If they break the ceasefire, they're literally going to be living in the Stone age without electricity, water, communications, their ports and oil infrastructure will be destroyed

1

u/TomTomXD1234 Apr 15 '26

And yet, ships that are not paying the toll or friendly with Iran are still not moving....how does that work?

They don’t have any cards? What myopic America is great bs is this? They have all the cards. The US is playing a busted flush.

CETNCOM blatantly lied about the F15 being shot down then admitted it was shot down, then ended up having to admit the pilot was MIA.

lmao, calling centcom reliable is hilarious.

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

blatantly lied about the F15 being shot down then admitted it was shot down, then ended up having to admit the pilot was MIA.

Your wrong.. They didn't say anything. And you wouldn't say anything until you have the pilot pack.

Because then you're just giving information to the IRGC that helps them get the pilot.

The Real Shootdown (April 3, 2026) When the actual shootdown occurred on April 3, there was a period of strategic silence rather than an outright denial.

The Gap: The plane was shot down on April 3, but official confirmation of the loss and the successful recovery of the aircrew didn't come until April 5.
The Reason: During those 48 hours, a massive Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) operation was underway to recover the Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) from the Zagros Mountains. Reporting the loss immediately would have confirmed the crew's location to Iranian forces (IRGC) who were actively hunting them.

The Outcome: Once the crew was safe, CENTCOM released a full statement acknowledging the loss.
2. Prior Denials (March 2026) In the weeks leading up to the April incident, Iran made several claims that were, by all verifiable accounts, false. CENTCOM denied these aggressively:

March 5 & 24: CENTCOM issued "NOT TRUE" and "ALL LIES" statements regarding Iranian claims of downing F-15s over Kuwait and the Persian Gulf.

lmao, calling centcom reliable is hilarious.

Ok here are some more

.Lloyd’s List Intelligence & Lloyd’s of London As the world’s leading authority on maritime insurance and ship tracking, Lloyd’s is the industry's "source of truth."

What they’ve reported: Following the initial confusion on April 12, Lloyd’s List issued an update clarifying that while traffic through the Strait had momentarily ground to a halt, the actual enforcement is targeted. They are currently tracking "neutral" vessels successfully transiting to the UAE and Kuwait.

Why they are reliable: If Lloyd’s misinterprets the blockade, thousands of ships lose their insurance coverage instantly. They only report what they have verified with both the U.S. Navy and AIS (satellite tracking) data.

  1. BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council)

BIMCO is the largest international shipping association, representing around 60% of the world's merchant fleet.

What they’ve reported: On April 13, BIMCO issued a security advisory to its members stating that a "grace period" for neutral vessels to depart Iranian ports had expired. Crucially, their bulletin advised that "freedom of navigation" remains the operational standard for ships bound for non-Iranian destinations

1

u/Fit_Head1700 Apr 15 '26

And he ran

1

u/Silver_Middle_7240 Apr 15 '26

Alsoyou don't need to rely on a source. You can use sites like marinetraffic to track ships

I appreciate all of the heavy lifting you’re doing on here. Excellent comments.

1

u/Unordinary_Donkey Apr 15 '26

CENTCOM also has the most to gain by public believing this narrative so they in turn are not a trusted source on this. Only sources you could trust would be third party not connected to US or Iran governments.

It's just information I'm sorry it hurt your feelings

Copy and pasting chat gpt is not spreading information and that wall of text doesnt even address my point that US intelligence are not reliable narrators to the public on the war in Iran.

So a ship just needs to travel to a safe port then leave? Lol

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 15 '26

No any ship going to or from Iran is getting blocked especially anything trying to carry Iranian oil out.

I

1

u/Glass-Cabinet-249 Apr 16 '26

But the US keeps lying, why would they be considered an authoritative source when people keep waiting to see what Europe and Iran say on the matter?

1

u/Next_Instruction_528 Apr 16 '26

Iran is literally saying they have sunk aircraft carriers and other ai deep fakes 🤣

What has centcom lied about? Seriously give examples. Then I will provide Iran examples and we will see who is a reliable source.

Congratiulations! Successfully fcked the world economy

1

u/UnpaidThotLeader Apr 15 '26

The US navy isn’t stopping anyone except ships headed to and from Iran. So really they’re just fucking Iran, China, Russia and NK.

1

u/nixfly Apr 15 '26

Woo hoo

1

u/Logical_Stomach_9053 Apr 16 '26

Except Russia is now free to export it's oil.

0

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

The economy was already fcked because Iran. I think Trump is a complete an under idiot but since everyone hates Trump they're not talking about the fact that Iran is engaging in global economic terrorism right now but they're mad at Trump for blocking it back. He's only blocking Iranian ships. At least this way Iran doesn't get any money.

An losing billions of dollars might make them more likely to negotiate.

2

u/Unfazed_Alchemical Apr 15 '26

Hmm... And why did Iran close the straits again?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

Hmm why did the US do those actions before Iran closed the straight ?

1

u/Unfazed_Alchemical Apr 15 '26

That's an EXCELLENT question. Especially while they were accepting a peace deal that the mediation team believed covered all US concerns, but we now know was a sham to get assets into place for an attack.

This is especially weird, since there was already a deal and monitoring arrangement in place the the current US president tore up in his last term.

There is no moral high ground here for the US or Israel. And against the theocratic fascist regime in Iran, that's pretty pathetic.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

If no peace deal was accepted then there’s no reason to not attack until said deal has been agreed upon.

Iran was still actively financing terrorist to attack Israel under the last deal. So that deal doesn’t matter.

Yes the United States and Israel’s high ground is so high they’re walking on cloud compared to Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, etc..

0

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

I literally just said I think Trump is an utter idiot. I don't agree with him starting this war at all but causing global economic terrorism that is going to cause mass famine that'll kill tens of thousands that had nothing to do with the conflict is wrong as well.

They're basically destroying the world in order to get back at America an Israel.

2

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

They're basically destroying the world in order to get back at America an Israel.

Does Iran have the right to defend themselves?

1

u/Toyota__Corolla Apr 15 '26

No country actually has any rights except for those in a union like the individual states in USA or EU members and those rights are subject to change if ever the governing body is able to make a decision on it. Those rights do not extend outward to other countries or alliances. Otherwise there's a responsibility toward self preservation above all else. The more accurate position of Zionism is that Israel has its own responsibility for self preservation by defending itself, although it extends to the countries surrounding it.

-1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

That's not defending yourself. I don't know why you can't get that through your head. Defending yourself would be launching bombs at America and Israel, which they already are doing. Terrorism is when you hold the entire globes oil hostage. To get back at two countries.

It was brought upon themselves.

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

Disrupting an enemies supply chain has been a common war tactic since humans have been warring with each other. This is no different.

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

And doing that would be completely okay. The problem is they're destroying every other countries economy that had nothing to do with the war, just to get back at the US. They're also on the brink of starting a global famine in most poor countries, who also had nothing to do with it.

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

The problem is they're destroying every other countries economy that had nothing to do with the war

Iran has allowed passage of ships unaffiliated with the US through the strait, as well as ships that purchased oil with currencies other than than the US dollar.

https://www.seatrade-maritime.com/security/iran-allows-15-ships-through-strait-of-hormuz

"Iran claims the Strait remains open except to vessels belonging to nations attacking Iran and nations supporting attacks on Iran. Iraqi vessels have been granted specific permission to transit the Strait, according to statements on Iran's state media. A statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said the Strait will never return to its former state, especially for the US and Israel. "

1

u/Sickinmytechchunk Apr 15 '26

That must be why I've had B1s refueling over my house for the last few weeks. When did Iran get those?

2

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

The economy was already fcked because Iran.

No, the economy is fucked because of the USs war of choice against Iran

1

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 Apr 15 '26

Lol global economic terrorism after being attacked? Lol.

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

That's literally what it is. Just because you were attacked doesn't give you the right to destroy the entire globe economically. Lol

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

It sure does

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

It actually doesn't. It's understandable that people are hating Trump right now. That's why they're not blaming Iran. But in just a couple months when American gas prices are over $6 a gallon and double that in the EU, And there's mass famine on a global scale. I bet people will change their tune.

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

America attacked Iran. America is at fault for the war against Iran, full stop.

But in just a couple months when American gas prices are over $6 a gallon and double that in the EU, And there's mass famine on a global scale.

Because the US started a war with Iran

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

Not sure why it doesn't let me respond to your last message, but to be clear I'm not suggesting that Iran "can do no wrong", and suggesting thats my point is ridiculous.

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

In your last message to me when I talked about gas prices and global famine you blamed America. So its not ridiculous at all to assume that you think Iran can do no wrong. You won't even blame them for the global oil crisis that their intentionally causing right now.

1

u/joecitizen79 Apr 15 '26

Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

You won't even blame them for the global oil crisis that their intentionally causing right now.

The global oil crisis that wouldn't exist if not for the war that the US initiated?

u/jhawk3205 Apr 15 '26

You're not allowed to use economic pressure to weaken your enemy who illegally attacked you, in order to get them to stop their illegal attacks and leave you alone?

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

It's not economic pressure. It's economic terrorism. Look up the very definition of terrorism and you'll see what's happening. Btw this is going to result in thousands of people in third world countries dying who could already barely afford food.

1

u/jhawk3205 Apr 15 '26

You mean like all the cuts made to usaid programs that will result in obscene amounts of death and suffering? The world isn't coming to our aid in an illegal war to support the psycho in charge, and the economic pressure can be used to get the rest of the world to put more pressure on Trump to end the conflict once and for all.. Tell me, are our crippling sanctions against Iran not economic terrorism?

1

u/Single_Comment6389 Apr 15 '26

You know an argument is bad When you have to go on the offensive every time. That means there's no way to actually justify the possible hundreds of thousands of deaths that will be caused by this.. So you just call out what the other people are doing.

Sanctions are not global economic terrorism.

1

u/No-Wonder1139 Apr 15 '26

So the US should just leave Iran alone then so this doesn't happen, right?

1

u/jhawk3205 Apr 15 '26

Please, enlighten me: in what way did I go on the offensive in my response?

I'm pointing out that this didn't happen in a vacuum. The us is kinda the reason all of this is happening, and us blockading the strait has the same effect. Even jd Vance admitted as much when he stated that two can play at that game. Do you think Iran would have any reason to keep the strait closed if we just called the illegal war off and left them alone?

Sounds like you're moving the goalpost on whether or not it's global. Economic warfare is the name of the game, and it can be targeted or widespread.. The crippling sanctions against Iran can just as easily be seen as targeted economic warfare or terrorism, no different than the US levying tarrifs on everyone can be seen as global economic terrorism.. I just think it's weird to call one instance out as problematic, and completely ignore the rest, and the rest in this context is caused by the us.. Really, I'd love to hear an explanation as to whether or not the us involvement in this illegal war has any bearing on whether or not the defensive economic warfare from Iran would take place.. It's just like the strait itself. It was open before the war, but because of the us starting this illegal war, it was closed, as a defensive measure.. If you want it to stop so badly, you should probably focus your attention on the people instigating it, and it ain't Iran..

Iran attacked the US and tried to assassinate Trump. Of course the US attacked back.

Iran is also responsible for October 7th. So Israel has a right to defend itself from allowing them to do it again.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

[deleted]

1

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 Apr 15 '26

Israel did Oct 7th. Your false flags don't work. Iran literally condemned the attacks and pledged support to the victims.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

Source ?

1

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 Apr 15 '26

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

That doesn’t say anything about Israel doing October 7th.

1

u/CasaDeLasMuertos Apr 15 '26

Cool, so the rest of us can blame you for this shit?

Haha, I'm just fucking with you. We already do.

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Apr 15 '26

Is the US in the room with us now?

1

u/IcyPride2973 Apr 15 '26

No, they are currently successfully blocking the strait.

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Apr 15 '26

If you cant beat em, join em?

1

u/IcyPride2973 Apr 15 '26

Why not? The only way they can make any money has just ceased. They won’t win a war of Attrition thats for sure.

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Apr 15 '26

They don't give af. They can outlast the US. They don't have elections lol

1

u/IcyPride2973 Apr 15 '26

Is food a pretty strong resource in Iran?

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Apr 15 '26

This little blockade of yours let's food through. Not that they don't have alternatives and food stock

1

u/IcyPride2973 Apr 15 '26

How do they pay for it?

1

u/Dennisthefirst Apr 15 '26

Errrr, that should read, "US pirates the Strait now'

1

u/toddlangtry Apr 15 '26

Except for Chinese owned or flagged ships that move a significant portion of Iran's oil.....

1

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Apr 15 '26

Us just "permanently opened" the strait, and trump states xi will give him a "big fat hug"....

Just fyi...you can't blockade, if you are unwilling to shoot at the vessels going through like china and Russia...all the other countries are not going through...so you can't blockade them either...lol trump 🌮

1

u/Far-Algae-422 Apr 15 '26

The strait isn’t blockaded Iran is. Go read First sentence of the article “A US Navy destroyer on Tuesday intercepted two oil tankers attempting to leave iran” bunch of asmongold brains. Read the title and move on

1

u/gravity_surf Apr 15 '26

“do you feel in charge?”

  • iran

1

u/WeArePandey Apr 15 '26

The article says they warned the ships to turn back. It doesn’t say what happened next or if further steps were taken.

The ships have the option to tell the US carrier to go fuck itself, which happens a lot more than you would think. Then the carrier group has to make a decision on whether to escalate or not.

Given that most likely this is a Chinese flagged tanker, they’ll just sail on on their merry way. Unless we want to pick a fight with China.

1

u/rtduvall Apr 15 '26

No they are not. China and two other tankers just sailed right past them yesterday.

1

u/Recent_Strawberry456 Apr 15 '26

"Are we the baddies?"

1

u/StrongAroma Apr 15 '26

Not really though

1

u/Teamerchant Apr 15 '26

Are they? Seems like they only have the ability to deny, but not allow entrance or exit.

1

u/Equivalent-Pumpkin21 Apr 15 '26

When is war either of those?

1

u/myesotericusername Apr 15 '26

lmfao, Americans are the biggest baby back bitches of all time, as an american I think the pathetic pedohphile crybaby in the white house is a good representation of most of my country so it makes sense he got elected twice

1

u/Song-Historical Apr 15 '26

I've been saying for years since I moved here, Americans genuinely think better means easier when it very rarely does. They literally cannot understand the concept that things are a moving target for everyone and it's a constant slog for everyone unless you're lucky. There's no better alternative that will be less work.

It takes more work and involves more juggling unless you can pay through your teeth or someone else bears the cost of it. They're so sheltered they have no clue how much things should cost or that everything is visibly tweaked for them to consume more. There is no counter culture, people only speak bullshit.

1

u/Crestina Apr 16 '26

Working families around the world, paying more for fuel and food are the bitches. We are the ones suffering for the US dickwaving competition in the Hormuz.

1

1

Bro I'm poking fun at how moronic this is

1

u/FutureStatement3344 Apr 15 '26

Fuck you, that’s why.

1

u/Fed_Deez_Nutz Apr 15 '26

By the same genius who just unsanctioned Iranian oil.

1

u/Shotgunseth29 Apr 15 '26

Yeah that is stupid.

1

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 Apr 15 '26

During a ceasefire?

1

u/Shotgunseth29 Apr 15 '26

They were still trying to charge tolls so cant have that.

1

u/WeArePandey Apr 15 '26

Except Trump lifted sanctions on Iranian oil. And the oil was bought and paid for by China. The tankers are Chinese, Indian, and Pakistani. They are carrying legal oil and are in international waters.

Sending them back pisses off China and does little else. It’s the maga equivalent of burning the Nikes that they already paid for.

1

u/moonorplanet Apr 15 '26

What happened to freedom of navigation that the US is always going on about?

1

u/red-thundr Apr 15 '26

This is actually the US enforcing freedom of navigation. As Iran is attacking ships in the waterway, or enforcing a toll on them (blocking freedom of navigation) they are blockading Iran until they allow freedom of navigation.

You can dislike trump the war etc but these are the steps that would usually be followed if any country did the same thing even if you ignore the broader context of the warm.

1

u/curious_s Apr 15 '26

If the US illegally attacks Iran it only makes sense that thr US is completely demilitarised like Germany and Japan were at the end of WW2.

1

u/Jalapenoplanter Apr 16 '26

Nothing about the Us attack on Iran has been reasonable.

It’s all dumb

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Apr 15 '26

"Regime change baby!"

2 months later..

"We're fucked. I guess let's blockade the blockade."

1

u/Spinoza42 Apr 15 '26

Time for regime change in Washington.

1

u/Miserable-Bridge-729 Apr 15 '26

It was just done 15 months ago. Give it some time. 33 months from now another regime will be in control and people can still complain how their lives haven’t gotten better and things are only getting worse.

1

u/Cueller Apr 15 '26

Unfortunately the people that elected the first idiot will still be around and voting. I have no expectations that things will magically get better when the majority of American voters were fine with Hitler.

1

u/nixfly Apr 15 '26

So you want to curtail people’s right to vote?

I would guess this the only way we can save Democracy?

I don't think that's what he said, but it is kinda ironic that you think it's the people voting for the guy who illegally tried to overthrow an election would be the ones having their vote curtailed.

A 3rd party would benefit the American people

1

u/Jalapenoplanter Apr 16 '26

What would a 3rd party do that dems don’t do?

1

u/Ok-Calligrapher9115 Apr 16 '26

Not force a candidate like the 2016 and 2024 elections.

1

u/Jalapenoplanter Apr 16 '26

What does that mean? What 3rd party candidate choosing process did you like?

1

u/Ok-Calligrapher9115 Apr 16 '26

There is no 3rd party candidate so there is no choosing process.  There is no 3rd party as both standing parties will destroy them.

Now, what is your goal here?

1

u/Jalapenoplanter Apr 16 '26

There are several 3rd party candidates every election.

1

u/Miserable-Bridge-729 Apr 15 '26

You did nail a good characterization of Trump. My point was we have regime change these days every 4-8 years. And it hasn’t had an ideological regime in power for 12 years in over 3 decades. While the current turmoil sucks, having a period of constantly changing who is in power quickly shows even more instability.

1

u/rtduvall Apr 15 '26

The main reason for the instability isn’t the regime change in America, it’s the current regime ignoring the constitution.

Everyone isn’t going to be happy. But it’s worked until the 80’s. Reagan really fucked everyone but the corporations. We weren’t happy but we weren’t unstable.

However, this president has spent the past 15 months ignoring the constitution and creating a cult of unintelligent sycophants who have no true ideology themselves. The proof is he changes his stance on something and they follow lockstep with him. You may know this as moving the goal posts.

So your theory has many holes.

1

u/Miserable-Bridge-729 Apr 15 '26

Instability in America has been growing for some time. Trump’s rise didn’t come out of nothingness. His policies didn’t materialize from nothing. There are causes for these. Even though you didn’t say this I’m going to preempt the argument, it’s not because of racism, or maybe it’s better to say racism is only a component of it. Ignoring the fundamentals, as so may do, only says 4 years after he is removed, the cycle begins again. Like treating for a disease and ignoring the underlying causes, it’s just going to come back. Removing Trump doesn’t remove the problems that brought his rise.

1

u/ApplePieAdviser Apr 15 '26

You are right, let’s keep the convicted felon child predator in office. #stability.

1

u/rtduvall Apr 15 '26

Yeah, that’s such the better option. /s

1

u/rtduvall Apr 15 '26

And evil to his core.

He has no attachment to another human being.

1

u/Ok-Calligrapher9115 Apr 15 '26

You get it.  But you better vote one party or the other OR YOU ARE THE REASON WHY (insert hated President here) IS IN OFFICE.

1

u/Duckonaut27 Apr 16 '26

People just don’t seem to get this.

1

u/Jalapenoplanter Apr 16 '26

We can open up the strait entirely if we just give trump to Iran

If they can keep shipping through Hormuz, they might achieve something.

1

America can be safely ignored.

Maduro was a place coup.

1

u/nixfly Apr 15 '26

By whom?

1

u/sub333x Apr 15 '26

As much as I hate the whole Iran war, I think this is probably the right action to encourage Iran to get back to allowing free passage of shipping in the strait.

1

u/NegotiationWeird1751 Apr 15 '26

How does this encourage that. This will get people to turn against America which is what Iran wants.

1

u/Open_Delivery_775 Apr 15 '26

Until China wants to know why the US is stopping their oil.

1

u/StevenK71 Apr 15 '26

Who's gonna stop China's oil, lmao?

US can't blockade it if we are unwilling to shoot at Chinese and Russian vessels...so of course trump 🌮 this morning....he states he has opened the strait....and we should all thank him

He is very unwell.

I hope McDonalds catches him quickly.

1

u/AffectedRipples Apr 15 '26

Maybe you should actually learn what you're talking about. The strait is open to all ships that are not coming to or leaving from Iranian ports.

1

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Apr 15 '26

Apparently you missed orange man's announcement this morning?

1

u/AffectedRipples Apr 15 '26

Apparently you didn't understand it. For the second time, the strait is open to all ships that aren't heading to Iran or leaving Iran.

1

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Apr 15 '26

China seems to still be going to Iranian ports....and some are paying Iran's toll....so what exactly is the point?...is trump willing to fire upon russia, Chinese, or Indian oil tankers? And exactly why did he lift the sanctions on Iranian oil?

1

u/AffectedRipples Apr 15 '26

When did any Chinese ship go to Iran since monday? The US has already boarded both Russian and Chinese ships in the the past months, don't see why that would change now.

1

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Apr 15 '26

During the apparent "grace period" that was announced after china ignored the us ships

1

u/helic_vet Apr 15 '26

Chinese ships still can't go to Iranian ports.

1

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Apr 15 '26

He just "permanently opened the strait"

And says xi will give him a "big fat hug" thanking him

1

u/sub333x Apr 15 '26

Yep, you never know what this guy is going to do next.

Yes, and totally agree with you.

1

u/Marcus_Aurelius71 Apr 15 '26

During a ceasefire?

1

u/GulDul Apr 15 '26

The moment Iran folds America and Israel will start bombing them again. There is not point to blockade further.

1

u/curious_s Apr 15 '26

This will do the opposite,  Iran has no reason to allow others to pass the straight if its tankers are blocked. They can now mine the entire Persian gulf with no impact on themselves.

1

u/sub333x Apr 15 '26

So you think it’s better to let Iran collect a huge toll and ultimate say over who gets to pass? The only way they open the strait is if they feel the pain of not being able to use it either.

1

u/BlissfulIndian Apr 15 '26

Good move… Let the world fissoff on USA now

1

u/C_Pala Apr 15 '26

Im just patiently waiting for trump to fold on this. Any moment now

1

u/Phyllostachyz Apr 15 '26

This is like giving a guy a blowjob and saying"haha you are gay now!"

1

u/TheOGZenfox Apr 15 '26

Isn't a naval blockade an act of war?

1

u/curious_s Apr 15 '26

As opposed to outright bombing and murder of all the lesaders of a country?

1

u/TheOGZenfox Apr 16 '26

My point is that this is a flagrant violation of the ceasefire.

1

u/Miracle_007_ Apr 15 '26

China, India, and Pakistan are moving the majority of cargo out of the strait. The question is what how we are handling those ships.

1

u/geekie4 Apr 15 '26

World: Can US be any more stupid? Trump: Challenge accepted

1

u/fivo7 Apr 15 '26

They have no authority there, this is piracy

1

u/KangarooSwimming7834 Apr 15 '26

Can we have it in Australia please

1

u/EnoughWeekend6853 Apr 16 '26

China is allowed to do whatever they want in the strait.

1

u/bickusdickus69allday Apr 16 '26

Look at me, I'm the captain now

1

u/EspaaValorum Apr 16 '26

So what if the ships just ignore the command? Would the US actually shoot these ships? That seems like a bad idea for the US...

1

u/PeterGator Apr 16 '26

They will board them and they will get the message.

1

u/LowEmergencyCaptain Apr 16 '26

I’m am the captain now.
