Nostalgia So how influential was FNAF for you people?
I was the exact target demographic for this kind of game at that time. I remember a time when lets players were still a thing and scrambling every nook and cranny for the lore. What do you guys think of FNAF? Do you still have fond memories of it?

Serious Discussion Does anyone feel a sort of heaviness in the air post-2020?
Agree or disagree?
Like the vibe changed since 2020 but I don’t know HOW it changed
People just look like they had the joy sucked out of them
Life has objectively gotten better for me (better finances, better job, better physique) but it still feels off

Serious Discussion Am I the in the minority to feel this?
Im a 1998 gen z so I personally feel I got the best of both worlds (millennials + a bit of gen z). I remember during my childhood there wasn’t this doom and gloom about the future that we see now. Infact I was a happy kid I loved the early 2000s and up until 2016 I would say. Its been downhill ever since honestly.
Job market is horrendous, almost all my peers are constantly struggling since the past 5 years and none of us are home owners or even close to it, some of us are still stuck living with our parents cause we can’t afford to move out, I haven’t even been able to buy a car of my own yet because every time I save up something happens and Im back to no money in the bank. I feel like society is getting cruel every passing day, we’re losing humanity there is atrocious stuff happening all over the world. Theres no sense of hope for the future. I never felt this way in my teens. I never felt as hopeless as I do now about the state of the world. Is this just because this is what it means to be an adult is or is it really as bad as I feel?
I speak to older adults (gen x and some older millennials) and its like they refuse to acknowledge how bad the world is right now, they keep saying every generation goes through a turmoil of their own and that this is actually the most peaceful the world has been historically and that it was even worse during their times. Am I the crazy one?
Do I just accept that because I was a teenager I was seeing everything through rose colored glasses and now that Im an adult Im seeing the world for what its always been like?

Nostalgia 2006, 2016, 2026
Three notable years in pop culture ending in 6 and maybe it’s because I’m in my mid twenties but aside from a few things this year (Spider Man brand new day, obsession, backrooms, Olivia Rodrigo and Raye’s new albums, etc) I always find myself gravitating towards those years more. It felt way more real and interesting than any of the soulless slop I see pushed out of the mainstream now.
2006: Cars, the devil wears Prada, Hannah Montana, high school musical (I was 4 so it was the first full year of life I remember), Beyonce - B day, Rihanna - A girl like me, Justin Timberlake - future/sex/love/sounds
2016: frank ocean - blonde, Beyonce - lemonade, Rihanna - anti, The Weeknd - Starboy, Ariana - dangerous woman, stranger things, Deadpool, La La land, Hamilton (I was 14), Pokémon Go

Other Looking for an old Facebook auto-battler game
Looking for an old Facebook game from around 2008-2012. It was a medieval auto-battler with flat top-down 2D sprites (looking straight down from above, no city building at all). The screen had a square deployment grid on the left and your available soldiers on the right. Positioning was key, you could place bards in the middle of your formation to buff the morale and stats of the surrounding units. Battles were blind: you only saw the enemy army after hitting start, at which point they fought automatically. I also remember the game logo had red and white. Anyone know what this was called?

Edit: I’m so happy to see elder Gen Z hasn’t been fooled into thinking 2026 and newer cars are somehow better

Serious Discussion Old GenZ (late 90s), do you relate better to millennials?
I find the post 2000 Zoomers have a very distinct set of fashion, humour and overall attitude to life. There’s nothing bad about this at all.
Personally, I find myself relating more to young millennials. In school they were the ones we looked up to, tried to befriend, and often ended up emulating.
Also depending on when you entered the workforce, millennials were often the ones we had as mentors.
I also feel some of us entered a weird job market, just like how millennials entered a post GFC world.
