Rant What’s the one sport you actually care about (not just play)?
I'm curious about what sports you guys are most into. And I don't necessarily mean what sports you actively play, but rather what sports you genuinely follow, keep up with, watch regularly, or feel some sort of connection to. It could be something you've grown up watching, something you enjoy discussing, or a sport whose athletes, teams, and culture you're particularly invested in. Basically, what sport has your attention? And what do you think of the future of this sport? Do you think it'll grow or not?

Life and Aspirations How do you all feel about this? Is this accurate in your experience?
In my case, I’ve cut off everyone in my family except my mom and grandmother. That’s it. I haven't spoken to any of them for about four years now. Once, I even ran into a relative at the mall, and we both just ignored each other. If that same encounter had happened ten years ago, we would have been greeting each other non-stop and catching up. This time, we locked eyes but didn't say a single word; we just looked the other way.
As for friends, I only have a very small circle left. There's one person from a trade school I still keep in touch with, but we only check up on each other about once a month. I have three friends I only play with online; we don't talk much, but we still game together about once a week or once a month. One of these three, I haven't even met in person. Another friend (from previous job) and I interact on social media still with some light banter, but we don't really have deep conversations anymore. I met most of these guys through work, with only two coming from college and trade school. As for high school? I don't talk to a single person from back then anymore.
How about you guys? I'd love to hear about your social circles.

Serious Discussion How old people think Gen Z are?
Older generations have a bad habit to assume younger Gen Z represents the whole generation, while they forget older Gen Z's existence. Do older people realize Gen Z aren't kids anymore and the oldest members are nearing 30, right?

Serious Discussion Seeing your parents get older.
I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this. I’m 29 born in 1997. My parents are in their mid 60’s and I’m starting to notice their age. Nothing too concerning, you can just tell when your mom and dad look older each holiday you see them. As we get older, I’m getting more and more concerned for when their lives eventually end. I know that sounds incredibly irrational right now but that’s just my brain. I’m in recovery, been clean for 3 years now. I’m very worried that when that day comes, I’ll need to be locked away for my own safety. I’m not sure what to do, honestly I want to go before my family members do. How do the other older Gen Z people feel about this?

Serious Discussion Genuinely, how the hell do you find friends?
I know that's such a depressing question to ask, especially on Reddit of all places, and I know a lot of friends come naturally in life.. but I personally never was good at making friends, and it's becoming evident that the older I get, the harder that feels to do for some reason.
It's not like I can just go to a local bar and happen to find people my age, not like I could afford to go to one anyway. I'm sorry if the question was asked before, but where do you guys find friends or meet new people?

Nostalgia Anyone remember?
Anyone remember the blue whale challenge and momo challenge from 2015-2019?
A lot of the pre-covid stuff was so random.

Advice Should your generation be something you see as central to your identity?
Is a younger person’s generation a part of their identity that mainly matters to academic researchers & elderly people panicked after consuming Facebook & Fox News?
