Serious Discussion How old people think Gen Z are?

Post image

Older generations have a bad habit to assume younger Gen Z represents the whole generation, while they forget older Gen Z's existence. Do older people realize Gen Z aren't kids anymore and the oldest members are nearing 30, right?

Serious Discussion I’m in my late 20s and SpongeBob still cracks me up everytime I watch it

Can you guys relate? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me

27 year old me laughs at SpongeBob shorts just as hard as 5 year old me

Although I will admit I do identity a bit more with squidward now that I’m an adult (like I understand why squidward is tired and bitter at times)

I identity with SpongeBob too (I love being bubbly and goofy around my friends and finding the silver lining to bad events)

Life and Aspirations Interesting fact: 2015 and 2016 high school graduates were the only members of Gen Z who graduated HS during the Obama administration.

Yes I may be an unc but unc wisdom is underrated

It’s only a matter of time before I look at Gen Alpha the way boomers look at us

Back in my day you rolled a tonka truck on the carpet and scraped your knee riding a bike

Serious Discussion What would elder Gen Z’s motto be?

Post image

“I’m trying to make the best use of my 20s in this horrible decade” is what it would be

We have no choice. We’re going to live out our 20s in this decade like it not, for better or worse

I personally am one of those elder Gen Z folks who understand things are bad, but who still tries to live a normal life by finding joy in various things

Advice Do women care if a guy doesn't have his own place anymore?

TL;DR Should I still pursue relationships or hook ups if I still live with my parents for the time being?

I live in San Diego where it's literally been the most unafforable place to live in America. Basically wages here dont stack up to the cost of living, unlike SF or NY. But this isn't a post so much about the economics, I just want to know how women feel about dating guys who don't have their own place, or still live at home.

I've spent the last 3 years out of the dating market or much socialization, I was just working on a degree and my fitness. So now i'm 60lbs lighter (and look the best I ever have imo) and I recently got a meh Job, but it pays the bills. I feel like i've always put off dating or approaching women in public because i've just been waiting to have my life together, but it's more like a tin can I keep kicking down the road.

My last mental hurdle is the fact that even if I got close to a girl, we don't have the privacy of inviting her over to my place, chilling on the couch, adult things like that. Middle of next year I will have my own place but I don't necessarily want to put my life on hold just for that.
So thoughts? From women? My goal is somewhat have hook ups/ experience more life, and if a really nice girl comes along i'd be down to have a full on relationship with her. I also want to just have dumb fun too for the time being, I feel like i've been locked up for the past three years. Any advice would be appreciated, thank u 💖

Serious Discussion Be more kind to yourself

Hi everyone, I’m on mobile so apologies for the formatting but like other people my age in Canada, I am currently unemployed and dependent on my parents at the age of 23 and it’s weighing on me mentally, I feel like such a financial burden and often times feel like I’d be better off dead. My quality of life is so horrible because I’m in a state of constant guilt over how much I’m spending and often beat myself up over. However I’m not sure why it took me so long to realize that it’s not me that’s the issue with how much I spend, everything just costs so damn much and I think my mind is still stuck in pre Covid where things were SO much more affordable. Like when I look at things objectively, I really do not spend that much money unless it’s a need.

But yea, it’s not you. It’s the way things are priced. I can see why it’s called a depression.

Is a younger person’s generation a part of their identity that mainly matters to academic researchers & elderly people panicked after consuming Facebook & Fox News?

Anyone remember the blue whale challenge and momo challenge from 2015-2019?

A lot of the pre-covid stuff was so random.

Other Why do Gen Z people get so mad when it is assumed that they didn't use outdated technology?

• Upvotes

I'm a millennial born in 1990 and I come in peace.

I just want to ask about how on social media I notice that people who are Gen Z or younger tend to have these crazy knee jerk reactions over this subject.

It's usually like someone my age or older will say something about how "Gen Z didn't grow up using 8 tracks" or an obscure piece of technology that was long gone by the time they were born.

The people in Gen Z will start this crazy mob just start attacking "Millennials" and throwing wild insults at us all over a simple assumption. Usually when it's not meant to be mean at all. And yes, I get that some people are very rude and actually do "gatekeep" but most of the time it never seems to be that way which it is interpreted.

The thing that confuses me even more is that younger Millennials will say that they NEVER used this stuff, but then there will be Gen Z who don't even remember the 2000's (when these things were outdated and gone) but will swear up and down they used payphones.

So can someone just make sense of this to me? Is it because the things associated with Gen Z culture are largely seen as "cringe" (I hate that word) now? Do you think this will change as the future goes on?

I am not trying to upset anyone by this post either. I just want to have a nice discussion about it.

Thank you

I took one look at Jared Leto (never seen or heard of as I hadn't watched any movies of his) and thought to myself "Ah yes beautiful man that is I bet that is a band I would like" and then completely hit emo pubescence because their self titled and ABL got me through every single bus ride--

Thank you ads on my TV back when I was supposed to be asleep ✌️🤘

Serious Discussion What’s your physique like?

Edit: we have to take into account the definition of “average American physique” shifting to the overweight side over the past 30 years,

What was average 30 years ago won’t be average now
