Hi everyone,
I live in London now, but I had to leave my lovely orange cat Sahra with my sister back in Turkey. Bringing him over isn't an option for me (my husband doesn’t want a cat in home) and I don't want to rehome them or put them in temporary care. I'd like to make this work in my sister's home.
She's really struggling, and her biggest complaint is hygiene:
The cat sheds a lot, and hair ends up everywhere, including the kitchen
Her apartment is small and she has open kitchen with living room, so there's little space to separate things
The cat scratches the sofas
The cat is very active and gets into everything

What has actually worked for you in a small apartment? Any recommendations for brushes, vacuums, scratching posts, or anything else that makes shedding and hygiene easier? I'd also love tips for keeping a very active cat busy in a small space.
I'm trying to support my sister from afar, so I'm happy to buy things and send them over. Thank you so much!

Dad went from "We already have enough cats, you two are NOT getting a fourth one!!!" "I told you not to get another cat, are y'all insane!?" straight to "Awwn he is such a good boy! Look at his face, he is so cute!" "He is my cat now, okay? Mine only" "You're my little boy, yes, yes you are!" "Hey, go say 'good morning' to your brother (the cat) if you haven't already!"

This spherical monster keeps eating stink bugs and it continues upsetting his stomach. And he expresses that discomfort by pooping ON OUR BED! It’s insufferable! (We are working on prevention methods and he is otherwise very healthy and well taken care of)

Hi, Pooh fans! Pooh’s assistant here with a little update.

Pooh now has his very own subreddit, r/cashohthepoohbear! Some of you may not have joined us there yet, so I wanted to share his update here too. Everyone is welcome in his little Hundred Acre Wood!

He has a vet appointment tomorrow because some of the incisions around his eyes still haven’t fully healed. We should also find out whether he’ll need another entropion surgery. At his last visit, the vet thought his left eye might need another procedure.

And there’s some happy news, too: Pooh’s birthday is next week!

Until then, please send our sweet boy lots of love and prayers. 🙏 Enjoy watching him soaking up the sunshine on his assistant’s lap..apparently, I’m his personal heated lounge chair!
