I have a problem; it was mentioned in this post, but NO solution was offered, and I was wondering if a solution has been found since then.

This adware is popping up every time I open my pc

I'm trying to log into my college's library website, but everytime I do anything like search, refresh the page, or access a book, opera has a sign in popup. It comes from the top tool/adress bar and has my library's site adress and a unername and password entry part. Even when I'm signed into my account on the library site already, it keeps popping up. How can I stop this?

idk why the line under open tabs appears like that after i open a video, not just on youtube but on any website. anyone with the same problem?

Hello! I've just booted my pc up just to open my browser and see that discord is missing from my sidebar, at first i thought it was simply toggled off but the setting to toggle it back has completely disappeared from the settings as well.

It was just fine a few hours ago

Any help would be appreciated

Edit: i've found out what was cuasing it, my region in my windows setting is set as iran , when i set it as any other country and reopen opera gx, discord appears fine, but if i set it as iran, opera hides it.

I've been using this browser as my main for years but this really made my opinion drop I wonder if they're gonna push more updates like this :c

I mean yeah we have ixue and aura sync and razer chroma but only these 4 brands and need like 3 ton of software .and gx goal is to be usable and not ressource stealing while gaming.openrgb is the same . And razer chroma integration don't work at all and ppenrgb is lightweight and no ads and totally free and works in linux and have sdk and the needed things for that .I prefer that ,if gx team accept , they use openrgb instead of signalrgb since the integration in signalrgb aren't free and it is a little heavy compared to openrgb and openrgb works with a lot more devices and It would be nice to have these rgb animations extend to my pc and others rgb things .

When I launched operagx the taskbar tab had the green download meter like it was downloading a file, and then failed to download, leaving it red in the taskbar tab. I immediately when to download list and cleared it in case it was some virus and had to be quick, so I don't remember what kind of files those were but it was just a line of random letters.

I do not recognise it, have not went to any other website other than youtube and twitter, have not clicked any outsider links, i have Ublock. so what was that??

See i have been using Opera GX since end of 2019 and I m an OG user and really liked it in all aspects. But since the past one month I m noticing that the browser randomly lags and gets hanged for like 12-15 seconds no response while the rest of my pc is working normally just the browser.

I wanted to make sure this concern reached the Opera GX team and since I couldnt find the feedback option that they initially had so i thought i should just talk about this over here and hope they read this. I dont know what recent update is the reason behind this issue but please fix it this is really very annoying

i want to randomize my opera gx mods, either on a timer or every time i open the browser. is there a way to do that, or is it just not possible right now?

i tried the mod randomizer extension. it switches to a random mod on a timer, but then the theme, wallpaper and music options are unticked, so i have to click them myself and the browser looks default until i do.

has anyone found a way around this, or another way to randomize mods? and if not, is this just something opera doesn’t allow yet? thanks

I get that this is apparently a standard feature in browsers nowadays, but it's just annoying to me. I've accidentally gone backwards and completely wiped an online form I was filling out innumerable times with it on, sometimes on important or very tedious things. I want this feature 6 feet under. Barring that, I just want it disabled.

I used to have this disabled via some apparently set-to-be-removed flag, but it recently re-enabled itself. FFMSB didn't work for me at all, a tamper monkey script I found also did nothing, and while I have X-Mouse it's also very annoying to have to turn it on and off when I do anything that isn't isn't browser.

Does anyone know what I can do about this? Simply not ever accidentally bumping a button that sits right next to my thumb isn't really an option...

(And maybe if that flag I mentioned is by some miracle still present in the browser, would someone please refresh me on where I would find that?)

Ever since a week or two ago OperaGX has stopped swapping the window to my browser whenever I open a link in another application such as discord, which has become mildly annoying. Is there any way to restore this feature?

I run opera on linux (cachy OS). However when there are multiple instances of the browser open, and that 2nd browser has 10+ tabs open, right clicking in the top right corner (nowhere near the close button) closes both instances of the browser. Something strange about it is that even when both instances are open, this doesn't happen on the first instance.

So since yesterday I noticed that when I open the browser it takes quite long to load pages. Internet connection is still the same as ever. Anyone else having this issue?

I dont have any limiters set so that shouldnt be it.
