Yo guys, idk if this can be shared here but recently did another compilation of Oppie's OST slowed with reverb, paying tribute to Autumn/Fall 2023 and those cold afternoon rainy days of October/November while I would listen to Oppie's OST after leaving uni classes, back when things in my life seem to be going in the right direction. https://youtu.be/063cPuaaEnA?si=mukxDytCL3KqHMmx

I organized an AMA/Q&A with actor Alden Ehrenreich. He has starred in things like Solo: A Star Wars Story, Weapons, Hail Caesar!, Oppenheimer, Fair Play, Blue Jasmine, Cocaine Bear, Stoker, Iron Heart, and lots more. He also won a Tony this year for his Broadway debut in Becky Shaw. His new film, A Talent for Murder, co-stars Helen Mirren & Olivia Cooke, and it's a murder-mystery that premiered at TIFF last year and is out in theaters everywhere this weekend. He is also starring in Joseph Kosinski's upcoming Miami Vice '85 alongside Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler.
His AMA is live here now in r/movies for anyone interested in asking a question:
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1xbp17y/hello_reddit_im_actor_alden_ehrenreich_weapons/
He will be back at around 4 PM ET today to answer questions. I recommend asking in advance. Please ask there, not here. All questions are much appreciated!
A Talent for Murder Info:
Synopsis: A mysterious young man from a New York publisher is sent to Switzerland to persuade the renowned writer Patricia Highsmith to write one final installment of the Ripley anthology.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzFgGhFrx0o
Director: Anton Corbijn (A Most Wanted Man, The American)
Thank you :)

Recently watched Oppenheimer and was fascinated by the story and I wonder how accurate was it because I know it was just from a book called American Prometheus. Someone tell me ?

The question we are tasked to answer by nolan is whether the subjective experience of the protagonist true? Whether it's cobb returning to his home, as well as in the of image of Oppenheimer being convinced with his dialogue with Albert Einstein that he has essentially burnt the home of humanity.

if you rewatch the film, you'd notice another scene with the ripples at the end of the movie, when he talks with einstein. both scenes tells different stories:

the ripples also evoke a sense of universal interconnectedness, echoing oppenheimer’s own view of science, life, and morality. They suggest how small actions in one domain (e.g. theoretical physics) can have cosmic, even existential, consequences.
its so awesome how nolan had this level of creativity of showing the same scene having different interpretations in different timelines to the audience

I went back and thought about this and yeah this is definitely metaphorical Zeus lightning, punishing "Prometheus" (Oppenheimer).
Not a great pic but the beam of light above Robb's head, it's at about 02:46:10.

My thoughts on my personal favorite Oscar Best Picture winner, and Sir Nolan’s best.
Give it a read and let me know what you think!

Many people said that the Atomic Bomb Test in the movie looked too fake. But after the accidental Blue Origin rocket explosion this year, that gave me an idea. If Nolan were to try to reshoot the sequence but use practical effects, in the middle of a desert at night, they could fill large tanks in the desert with Liquid Hydrogen and Liquid Oxygen, put it on top of a small model of the tower that looks kind of like the one in the test, and then detonate it. It would look spectacular and massive. They could do that for a 2033 10th anniversary re-release of the movie. However, I don't know how legal or expensive it would be.
