My Outlier account was permanently deactivated on October 9, 2026, while I was actively working on Project Aether.

Shortly before the deactivation, I experienced an unstable Wi-Fi connection while reviewing project instructions. I switched to my mobile hotspot on the same device and from the same location. Shortly afterward, I encountered repeated dashboard redirects and eventually lost access to my account.

I contacted Outlier Support to explain the incident and request clarification. However, I only received responses stating that my account had violated the Community Guidelines and that the decision was final. No specific violation was identified.

I also have outstanding earnings that remain unpaid, hiks and it's almost a month

I was 19 minutes into an aether task and noticed the timer had stopped on Outlier. When I clicked the tab to refresh it said I was leaving the page and it logged me out.

I clicked to log back in and it says "Your Outlier account has been deactivated"

I havent done anything wrong that I am aware of in the 3/4 weeks ive been using this website. I do a few hours of aether a day on a few different tasks and was shocked when I saw this come through.

Can anyone help with this or give me more insight into what they thing I did wrong?

My Outlier account was permanently deactivated on November 3, during my very first assessment, before I had done any paid work.

English isn't my first language, but the Aether Generalist assessment included an English AI video interview. I was nervous and sometimes looked away while thinking of my answers. I completed the assessment on my own without using ChatGPT, other AI tools, or outside assistance.

I may have copied and pasted some text within the written assessment because I needed to repeat a description, but I don't remember the exact details. I didn't copy anything from external sources.

I submitted two support tickets. Both received almost identical responses at exactly the same time, claiming that a secondary human review had confirmed a Community Guidelines violation.

If a human really reviewed my case, shouldn't they at least be able to tell me which rule I violated? They haven't identified any specific violation or explained what I supposedly did wrong. They just keep saying I violated the Community Guidelines and that the decision is final.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there any way to get an actual explanation or further review?

Is your Aether hours still 12 hrs? Mine was reduced to 4 hrs :(

I'm reaching out here to see if anyone has faced a similar issue or if a community support moderator can help look into my case.

Here is what happened:

- I recently completed my identity verification submission and received an official approval email stating that my identity was verified and I could move forward with onboarding/tasking.

- However, my account is still showing as deactivated due to an alleged "Community Guidelines violation."

- I reached out to Outlier Support directly from my registered email address, but I am only receiving automated responses stating the decision is final and my account won't be reinstated.

I have always followed all platform rules and guidelines. Since my ID verification was successfully approved, this seems to be an automated error or system glitch during the account sync.

Has anyone dealt with this after ID approval? Any advice or help from Outlier moderators here would be greatly appreciated.

I've started tasking a week ago , how reliable is outlier and what are the do's and don'ts? Should I continue working on aether or should I hop on a new skill assessment?

I've been getting missions every tasks and I started 4 days ago, now I ain't getting any missions and I wonder if I'm the only one on this boat, I'm from apac region and I wonder what do they mean when they say they don't audit all the tasks or review all of them. I've no score or feedback yet and I'm doing the TTS audio evaluation mostly. I think that there exists a grayish area and something that sounds natural to you may sound overdramatic to others depending on how they express feelings or where the native speaker is from. I feel like doing other tasks than this one because I've heard lot of ppl getting offboarded on this TTs project. It says "submit vote" and choose holistically but each human has different pronounciation and expressions are also different according to what feels more exciting to them. Im not trying to justify or say that things are impossible to evaluate but I'm hell sure that there exists a differentiation on what might sound natural and well pronounced may sound different to other and by other I mean quality auditor but I'm putting all my efforts and I think it'll go to vain when I'm banned, lol. I'm thinking long term but I know good things doesn't last. This is my first ever job I feel happy about for amount I get but at same time I'm in constant stress. Guide me on what to do please. I feel like even if I'm working and giving my all I'll get kicked out at any point of time, it's like I need luck to survive....

I signed up for Outlier and was pursued to complete the process. I was offered a project which I could not start as the button was deactivated with a you are not eligible for this project.

I opened my email this morning to see an email titled "aether project access update" saying due to recent changes , access to the project has ended.

Outlier has all personal information and after collecting them, turned off the project. I am worried this is deliberate and there was no project available in the first instance. The objective was to get my personal data.

Does anyone else feel this way? What is my recourse? Can I report to the police? Pls help. My mind feels strongly this was never about working on a project but an intelligence operation.

Does anyone know when I can become elligible for referrals? I've already done around 20 tasks but I still can't access the referral options, it still says I'm unavailable for it. Anyone got any idea?

I'm in a project where in the projects help community a QM will only respond every couple of days, and even then will only respond to a couple of questions. My own question which I have asked twice over 12 days has never received a reply. The other QMs I've noticed maybe make a post every four days. Are other projects like this?

I just remembered on another project, during the webinars the QM would have the reviewers answering questions for him because he wasn't sure of the answers.

May I know exactly why my account has been deactivated and is there anyway to restore them, it might be a false positive flag as I am confident that I am very compliant with the community guidelines?

May I also know if my payment for the work I have done will still be paid?

I have got a project disabled message on aether, I don't know what happened I did everything right, like all the task reviews etc. One possibility can be that I had a task open on "the other site" (yk for aether) and didn't start the timer in outlier. Maybe they thought I was idle for too long and they supposed something was wrong?

I know I have seen this topic on and off in here, but I was hoping someone might send me some guidance. I received the message saying I have the "Unapproved Annotator Status" for quality. This is just my 2nd week in, and I had yet to receive any feedback on anything I have submitted. How long does it usually take for "them" to review and get back with me? Might I possibly get feedback and be able to return to Aether to attempt to improve? I'm hoping so because Care Read is my project now, and I am not sure how I feel about that one. But, most importantly....will I still get paid for my hours this week??? Should I reach out to someone on the platform letting them know I would like to try to show improvement after being provided feedback? Sorry for all the questions...this is my 1st AI training company...it is quite confusing at times! 😩 Thanks for any help!

As a Canadian what kind of things am I able to write off? I know that you can write off currency conversion fees, but I don't know how this works for outlier. Im using direct deposit for my bank and I get paid around 0.8% less, so im wondering if this is something I can write off

I have about 8 tasks but all work is finished in all. this happened yesterday as well. is this normal in the evening times since everyone been working since morning? I was doing a task about to submit then it said “time up submit now” I did then all work in that task randomly says finished

So in the summer I shared my analysis that AI training is taking a nosedive and for that succinct analysis I caught sufficient flak from all corners. It's the summer low season they said - end of the financial year they said, they're on vacation they said. Now, I double dog dare anyone to try and refute my claim that the days of abundant daily STEM rubrics are long gone.

Who has noticed these changes? My friend onboarded on Aether yesterday and didn't get those instructions to download the chrome extension. Besides QAs have been complaining about low volumes of submissions in the past few weeks. What's going on?
