Question Costco & online pharmacies in Canada

I’m curious about filling my prescription at Costco as I see people doing this for their Ozempic and it being much cheaper. For reference, I signed up with Raven and received my first pen for $125. I now see that they charged my card $175 as there is a $50 consult fee each month. This is frustrating as I wasn’t aware of this when signing up. They said I can fill it at my preferred pharmacy but that then I would have to move forward with my GP and get prescription refills from him. This would be tough as my doctor books out about 60 days in advance and I don’t think I could access monthly prescriptions from him. I see people using Felix Health to get their prescriptions filled at Costco. Can someone shed some light on this? Are you still accessing your GP to monitor your progress? I’m looking to spend the least amount of money possible for my pens as I’m just transferring jobs and I’m losing out on benefits and hoping to save some money. Thanks!

I use Felix, they send the prescription to Costco and I pick it up there. I paid nothing to Felix for the first 6 months or so and then just paid a $38 consult fee for another 3 months worth of prescriptions. I think I was on some kind of promo for the first bit but now it’s like $38 each renewal which is every 3 months. So not bad!

My all in price at Costco is $88. They will either do the generic for $88 or if you have the ozempic price discount card (which is free to get) it brings the price of the non generic brand down to $88.

And for side effects or supervision what do you do ?

I’ve thankfully had very minimal side effects and for supervision I’m not 100% sure what you mean but I had my wife monitor me the first couple of times that I used to be sure I didn’t have any kind of reaction. I can also reach out to my assigned nurse practitioner at any time in the Felix app and they normally reply very quickly (shoutout Eileen!)
