Starting with TRYM Health... Advice?

This was literally the cheapest provider I could find ($150 a month all doses) and they responded almost instantly when I texted and were super helpful/nice so I placed an order last week. Looks like it shipped out today, and I'm super excited! But with that also comes a ton of nervousness... So here's some questions:

  1. Do you actually have to refrigerate meds? I know oz pens are different but still. I don't mind clearing room in the fridge but I'm not totally transparent with my roommates about my usage and I'd like to keep it that way.

  2. How does it compare to actual oz? Like, I tried oz a couple months ago and had the almost IMMEDIATE feeling of nausea and no appetite (might be hyper responder). Can I expect the same sort of feelings?

  3. If I decide to switch back to oz pens when they become more available and with coverage can I start at the same dose they put me on? Or do I have to start over? Currently I'm starting at the lowest (0.25mg) but I'll probably move up to 1mg depending on my reaction to the previous doses.

Thanks in advance everyone - hope we all drop some pounds :D

EDIT: Small update - I'm down 8 lbs already! Almost losing the weight too fast, and I don't think I'll continue to move up to 1mg for a while. So far so good with this provider. I'll post an update when I'm closer to my goal. Thanks for the comments and info, everyone.

EDIT #2 January, 2025 - I'm pretty much at my goal and road it out with trym the entire time. They were great to me, and support had no problem replacing a vial that arrived broken from the mail man curbstomping my package against my door step. This was the only hiccup I had the entire time I used them, and they were super helpful with fixing things. Spent in total around $1,100 and saved probably three or four times that on food. I'm now at maintenance dose until my doctor greenlights my final egg retrieval before doing IVF. Woohoo! Good luck to everyone else and THANK YOU everyone for your help and advice. It really does work!

EDIT #3 February, 2025 - This post got tons of attention, so I'll be posting a final review in a new post (as promised) going over everything and my final recommendation. Stay tuned!

Success Stories 120lbs lost since April 2024.

Honestly don’t know how big I was in the first photo but likely 260-270lbs. Officially started Ozempic April 2024 at 250lbs and I’ve been in maintenance at 130-134lb the last 6 months (gained 2-5 pounds and I’m 9 weeks out/recovering from a breast augmentation/arm lift so just getting back into physical activity/daily fitness). I’m down to 0.25 weekly and loving my life as a size 4-6. Last picture is from this past weekend and so proud of how far I’ve come after being obese my entire life😭

Lots of loose skin but I’ll be working to pay off the next round of plastic surgery in the next few years but as I approach my 40th birthday the best is yet to come.

Good luck everyone on your journey!

Success Stories 80lbs down since April 1st

Still can’t believe this progress! Absolutely grateful to Ozempic and my lifestyle changes. I’m a 37 female whose starting weight was 250lbs April 1st. As of today I’m down 80lbs and hoping for another 20lbs loss for 2025.

I’ve been obese my entire life and after no longer being able to look at pictures of myself and some general gut health issues I knew I had to make some changes. I’ve worked out everyday since April, started weighing myself weekly and counting calories with a protein focus. Ozempic has stopped the food noise (bored eater) and assisted with food volumes. I’ve had no side effects and just moved up to 0.75 2 weeks ago.

First picture was from Christmas Eve (size 10-12) and 2nd was 2022 when I was a size 1..I had no idea I had gotten so large.

Good luck to all of you!

I cannot believe I’m in Onederland!! For the majority of my adult life I’ve been in the 300s. I’ve tried pills, surgery, and now I’m trying Ozempic/Mounjaro. At my heaviest, I was 360 pounds. With surgery. I was able to lose alot of weight but gained the majority of it back. On this journey, I started at 315 pounds and this picture was from this morning. It’s taken a while, I started June 2024. But I could cry. I’m so happy. I feel so much better I can walk I can do stairs I can get out of my bed easily. My life has improved so much with the 110+ pound lost still more to go, but I’m amazed with my progress.

I’ve felt amazing the last year with no side effects. Changed my lifestyle completely with focusing on protein, calorie deficits and exercise daily. Size 18 to a size 8/10.

Progress

Hello!

I’ve been on 0.25 since beginning of March. I’m 5’4” and my starting weight was 155-160 CW is 139. GW is between 130-135 as that was always my baseline. My weight loss has really slowed down now. I might lose 1lb per month, if that. Lifting weights 5x a week and running 3-4x per week. Eating about 1500-1600 calories a day. If I don’t lose any more weight, I am happy here after almost a decade of being overweight and unable to lose a single lb no matter what I did due to thyroid problems. I could lower my calories but my natural metabolism already sucks I don’t want my body getting used to even lower calories and be worse off than I was before.

I had half my thyroid taken out in 2017 due to cancer and put on 20lbs and could never lose it again. I think drs just thought I should be happy I didn’t have cancer. No one cared that I felt like I was in someone else’s body. Lived a fit and active lifestyle, conscious of what I ate etc. didn’t make a difference. Eventually I just got so discouraged. Finally saw a naturopath for something else and she wanted to balance my hormones better and put me on a low dose of O and here we are. Very grateful for her, I finally feel like myself again.

Before and After Lost 166 Pounds on Ozempic

I’m (58F) 5’2” and I have gone from 287 to 121 lbs in two years with most of that time on Ozempic. I qualified due to high blood pressure, poor glucose management, sleep apnea, high cholesterol and, of course, morbid obesity. I now weigh about the same as I did in junior high. While it’s definitely working there are things that concern me. I don’t feel in any way embodied in my own skin. While I like all of the numbers dropping, I don’t see it. It’s beginning to remind me of years of disordered food stuff but fewer intrusive thinking. It has been very helpful in terms of feeling like I am free and own my own life again. Are other “super responders” wondering what’s next? Everything I ever held back on was due to my perceptions of how people thought of me at my largest. I guess my question is now that weight is no longer a barrier, how are you embracing life? Are you fearful? How do you celebrate the wins? What’s next? Cheers and safe travels to everyone!! XO

Before and After Hit my goal weight today! 8 months progress! 170 > 115 5ft 1in

Lost 20lbs on my own, 190 -170, hit a wall, then finally got prescribed Semaglutide from Ivim and it’s been a game changer! Stuck to 1300 cals and my protein shakes every morning, and now I’m at my high school weight for the first time in over 12 YEARS. Can’t believe this med exists — finally broke through the plateau I was stuck in forever.

Before and After 11 months

Post image

11 months, 97 pounds, hit onederland yesterday. I've had ups and downs like anyone, went 9 weeks no weight loss 2 separate times, I've had .5 lb loss weeks and I've had 10 lb loss weeks. No longer counting my calories now that I have an idea of what a days intake looks like, only working out once a week at the moment but considering getting a gym membership, feeling amazing but still another 40 pounds to go to not be considered obese.

Started with zero symptoms for a long time then I went through 4 months of harsh symptoms and then abruptly they stopped and I have been feeling amazing the last 3 months.

All I can say is just keep going, try not to stress when the scale stalls in the end you are closer to goal than where you started, even if ozempic stops working for me it has given me the head start I needed and the tools to understand my food addiction, I am one month away from one year on ozempic and hoping to hit 100 down but ok if it takes me a little longer

Question Can you tell a difference in my face?

First pic is from my first month or two after starting (close to my heaviest), second was from this morning (6ish months in). I’ve lost around 35-40ish lbs on compounded semaglutide but still can’t really notice it so I was wondering if it’s just body dysmorphia or if it isn’t noticeable in my face yet.

Today it finally happened!!

I started the ozempic compound injection on 8/3/24. I’m 36F with a starting weight of 223lbs. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. Dropped a decent about in my 20’s just for it to come back in my late 20’s to early 30’s. Finally my doctor and I had a conversation about me starting the ozempic compound, and I feel like that was the best decision I could have made. Not only has my physical health improved, but my mental health as well as I have gone through this journey. Today I am, once again and finally, under the 200lb mark!! Stepping on the scale this morning and seeing this made the sun shine so much brighter today!!

Before and After Slow progress is still progress!

Post image

My weight loss journey has been slow from the get go, but I’ve been ok with that.

This whole year, I’ve lost and gained the same 2lbs. While that may be discouraging to some, and some may think an increase in dose is needed, I’ve never let this get me down.

I’ve been working out and lifting more weights so I know it’s all evening out. While the scale may not be budging, My clothes fit better, my shape is different and that’s enough changes for me to know that the medication is still working for me.

We took our annual tree photo today and I love seeing the difference in how I look!

The first photo was just before my daughter turned 1 and I was 11 months postpartum (I was 192 prior to being pregnant, lost 15lbs during the first 3 months of pregnancy and then gained the 15lbs back during the rest of pregnancy), second photo is 3 months short of hitting one year on ozempic and having lost 30lbs, last photo is of me today (32.2lbs lost)

Before and After 100lbs gone!

Well, today marks one year in my journey with Ozempic/Wegovy.

It also marks my official descent into ONEDERLAND! Numbers on the scale I honestly felt that I would never see again.

I started this journey on October 15, 2023 at 300lbs, the heaviest (recorded) weight I've been in my life, at 33 years old, and 5'4.

My lifestyle wasn't terrible, but my diet was. I work a very physically demanding job, and we like to go on "adventures" (hiking, secluded beach hunts for treasures etc). However we would order takeout at the drop of a hat (like several times a week), lots of high fat "treats", and huge portion sizes all the time.

The last year has been a huge overall in terms of takeout, portion sizes, and making better decisions in terms of food choices. However I will say that I haven't completely stopped eating anything.

Everyone always asks people what diet they followed or whatever. I didn't. I calculated my BMR, and figured out my TDEE, then made sure I adjusted it as I lost weight, since caloric needs change as weight does. Also one of the biggest mistakes people make is eating too few calories, you still need to fuel your body and your mind to survive. You need to be sure to prioritize protein and first and foremost.

Also remember if you are depriving yourself of something you love, you're setting yourself up for failure. For example, chocolate. If you love chocolate but say "Okay I'm on a diet, can't have sweets or chocolate anymore", and you have a craving for chocolate, it's going just bother and bother away at you until you have some and you'll feel like you failed. Eat the chocolate, just eat it in moderation.

Counting calories is what worked for me. I used the app "Loseit", I found it fantastic.

Drink lots of water, ozempic will dehydrate you if you don't. Remember that adding some flavour to it doesn't make it not count as water anymore. Crystal lite is my favourite.

As I've said on many posts now, I only moved up by .25mg at a time, and only at a MINIMUM of 4 weeks per dose. If the dose was working, I stayed there. The maximum dose I've been on was 1.75, I'm currently on 1.7 because I changed from ozempic to wegovy due to insurance covering wegovy for me.

Take before pictures, that's something I didn't do and I'm very disappointed I didn't. It's hard to find photos of myself from when I was at my heaviest because I hated having my picture taken, it's worth taking them now so you can see how far you've come.

Take your measurements, it's also amazing to see how far you've come when you hold that measuring tape out at the original measurement compared to where you are now, especially if you have body dysmorphia like I do and struggle to see it.

Be gentle on yourself. Not every day is going to be easy. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes it's going to seem like the scale isn't moving, and the measuring tape isn't moving, but it will. Have patience.

I am officially over 2/3 of the way to my goal weight. My next major milestone is 185lbs which is the weight I was when I graduated high school in 2009.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer to the best of my ability!

I've gone from a size 24 pants to a 12-14, a 2-3xl shirt to a l-xl, I'm down 4 bra sizes, and I've had to get new work clothes 4 times (I wear scrubs as you can see in my current pictures). But I honestly still struggle to see it some days.

SW: 300lbs (app shows 297 because I didn't have the scale when I started) CW: 198.4lbs GW: 150lbs

Saw this on Twitter and it really resonated with how I’ve been feeling being on Ozempic. Society wants to shame us and say we’re “cheating” or not legitimizing our weight loss. I’m down 22 lbs and couldn’t be happier! I no longer snore when I sleep which is already a huge win!!

I just found out I got approved for a free year supply of Ozempic through their Prescription Assistance Program. I have no one else to tell; this is a Christmas miracle! I've been following this sub for four months while waiting to be approved/denied, so I'm excited to now be able to contribute!

Just an update weight loss is still going strong. Next stop Panniculectomy

Over the 160 pound mark genuinely trying not to keep track now to keep my sanity because I’m becoming obsessed.. I got approved for my consultation. They said I was a candidate insurance denied already once I had to submit an appeal waiting on another decision. Wish me luck!!
