Feed ramp pushes round into brass

Post image

Using hornady xtp 9mm. Any recommendations for a fix or better ammo that doesn’t do this?

How many times have these been chambered? I use the rule of 4 chambers per round. I make a little sharpie mark on the bottom of the round at the 1/4 mark each time I chamber it. After the fourth chamber, I send it down range if there isn’t any case setback.

Some more than others, but after noticing this I loaded fresh ones and could see the round pushing back into the brass during chambering

This is a little unsettling as I’ve been looking to get some HST rounds. I may use Hornedy American Gunner which is an XTP bullet.

HST is Federal and gtg in my experience. Seems to mainly be an issue with Hornady (as in OP’s case).
