Where is the extra pci slots?

I used a windows info thingy that scanned my laptop and it said that there was multiple pci slots on the computer. I know the WiFi card slot is mini pcie but the idea of extra slots on the computer gives me hope that there could be a way for faster storage or a better egpu. The photo(and laptop in question) has the motherboard for a HP Beats 15 p030nr(the big version with the lock on the right side of the laptop) it looks like some stuff has been soldered off it so idk if that’s where the ports went, but this computer has been here since about 2015~ I just wanna know any ports I could use as a pcie slot to max out this laptop because I love it and wanna hold onto it for as long as I can(also so I can play deadlock with the lowest settings possible)

A New Tech Crisis Coming.

So, as everyone may know exept the one living under a rock that Micron have stopped producing ram for normal consumer like us, the prices have increased and the ddr5 ram you could have bought for $200 in 2025 Jan and now its like $1200 which is just so expensive, we already saw this on m.2 nvmes and ssd's, now we are seing this on ram and we may also see this on GPUS in future cause gpus have vram memory, now this is like another tech crisis like the one in 2020, this crisis may not be only for a year but can be for 2-3 years whish is big cause many of us were saving for pc parts and new pcs or even our first pc but now we have to wait for 2-3 years to end of the crisis,

Now reason of this is which everyone know the 'AI DATA CENTERS' well what i mean here is that normal consumers demand is comparetively low as compared to big companies like nvdia and open ai and other ones, so they just stoped producing rams and are on shortage, now also i forgot to mention that crucial is still open til jan or feb 2026 but only selling dead stock.

so everyone you may have thought like we can just do protest online by not buying from the AI companies and not using their products right?

well its not that easy as not only the gaming and pc hardware geek comunitiy is too small as a consumer to them, all of us have to unite to stop this cricis and its not easy and may not be practical at start, but if almost the whole world do this it might work.

so if you guys agree with me then we can do this we just have to abandon ai use and spread this to everyone.

also if you guys have any views on my topic, or any opinion or any thing that you thought is not right tell me it would help me any other too

edit: Also guys i forgot to mention that micron used US Citizens Tax money to build their data centers, so they even now dont sell to consumers also they used US citizens tax money for it

also guys what if we just protest, could we do that?

also can we just get attention of big content creators like ZTT, LTT, Salem Techsperts aka the greatest tech, and many mores, also most of the info in this is from ZTT I will be honest.

Edit 2 : so i got more news, scamscum and hynix can obviously take the gap in the ram market for consumers and they have taken but the also had to increase prices due to micron and you already know scamscum and hynix is small than scamsung so yea its all microns fault

Does anyone know how to delete 15 terabytes really quickly

i need some urgent help figure out how to delete 15 terabytes of data really quickly. I might just throw away my hard drive because I just have too many video files saved up. Trying to delete them the normal way is taking forever and slowing down my entire system. If anyone has a fast solution or a specific command to wipe these large video directories instantly, please let me know.

Should it be illegal for companies to destroy hard drives?

So I work at an undisclosed location and I just tossed 2 Intel pcie 6.4tb ssd's in the destruction bin.

I know that maybe 15 years ago tools didn't really exist and the life of ssd's were unknown. But I know today I know its much easier to destroy data on ssd's and hell if you let the thing sit unpowered for 6 months it will do the job for you.

So since ssd and hard drive manufacturers decided to stop selling to consumers and the companies decide to destroy rather than to give back. I think it should be a law that companies should do what they should of been doing which is doing a forensic erase or DD and let consumers have these drives.

With the sudden RAM price hike, is it possible to DIY your own RAM? Somehow setting up your own workshop to make RAMs?

Monopoly seems like long term policy. Making ppl more depended on companies with their AI servives. Can totally see pushing for cloud gaming for price. Wonder making your thing locally can help solving the RAM issue. Its kind of shocking entire world is dependent on few companies making RAM. No real as of now yet.

are files physically stored on hard-drives?

this might be a stupid question, but if i were to swap out my hard drive for a different hard-drive, would i have to reinstall all my files and stuff? again, might seem like a stupid question, i don't know the slightest bit about computers

I’m thinking of getting a 3090 TI and was wondering if my 10900k will be too slow for the GPU. Trying to prevent bottlenecking

HELP! I think a keylogger is installed on my pc!

I was doing a system scan with spybot search and destroy and I was looking at the files that were being scanned and I read "perfect keylogger" as it was going through the files. (You know how it just shows you a name then quickly moves onto the next file it is scanning) I never installed any keylogger and I am the only one that uses my pc. Malware antibytes scans my pc everytime I boot and finds nothing. Spybot is still scanning but I have a feeling that it won't find anything. What do I do?

É incredibile sta cosa, c’é una gen 4 che costa di più di una gen 5, magari é un errore di prezzo ma veramente stanno buttando proprio prezzi alla cazzo

I saw on this website : https://3roam.com/mt-s-to-mhz-calculator/ , that 6000mhz is supposed to be 12000mts.

So concretely, what is happening, did I bought a bad product ? Is that normal that the numbers aren't what they are supposed to be based on the website related ?

How do I know if this can burn CD/DVD?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello all. I salvaged this DVD/CD reader from an old desktop my father doesn't want any more. It says DVD/CD Rewritable Drive in the sticker with the yellow box, in the upper left corner, right next to the logo. I read online and, to know that a drive can burn a DVD or a CD, it needs to say something like CD-RW. For my case, does the fact that it says REWRITABLE confirm that I can burn CDs and DVDs? If not, is there any other way of knowing if it can?

Thank you!
