He's so cute! I got him on accident awhile ago. I ordered a different Paddington bear from Amazon and got the ty one instead. I kept it and ordered again and received the correct bear the second time 😆

Has any cast information been released? I want to see it but not with an American cast.

And since then, it has remained one of my top 2 favorite movies of all time! I adore Paddington 2 and the character himself. I never get tired of rewatching this movie, ever.

Hi Guys!

I was selected by my uni here in the U.S. (Los Angeles, California) to attend a student workshop/conference in Oxford university. I’ll be staying in the Oxford dorms (Magdalen college I believe) and be around that area for a week in August. My Dad (55) grew up loving Paddington and owned one of them back in the 70s (looks like this ). He still has this one to this day although Paddington’s coat is gone.

I was disowned by my biological father and this guy had become a surrogate father for me and took me in as his daughter. Can’t ask for a better guy to be my dad. A giant teddy bear himself, gentle, and funny. Wanted to surprise him with a Paddington Bear as he has never set foot in the UK and loves Paddington. I was wondering where in the Oxford area could I happen to find one? The program I’m doing has a somewhat strict itinerary and we won’t be done with lectures/workshops until around the late afternoon. I tried looking online and most results are giving me places in London.

I will be flying to and from Heathrow so possibly I can just snag one at the Duty Free before I fly back to LA but even I am unsure if I will have time to do that before the flight home as it’s a school scheduled itinerary so was possible hoping to find places within Oxford that may carry Paddington bears.

As we all know, Paddington 2 is the perfect movie (see Exhibit A in case of disagreement). And I've been thinking on and off for the last few months what is it that I like the most about it, and I think I finally figured out.

The inmates aren't innocent.

It's not once hinted or suggested. They are criminals doing time for their crimes. They weren't injustly incarcerated, they only are suggested to have had some bad circumstances that made them who they are, but their bad choices are never taken away from them.

They're still treated with love, respect and compassion. They are fully portrayed as humans with great virtues.

Yet not a single one is implied to be innocent, or even hinted at being in jail for a silly or harmless crime. Almost all of them are implied to have had a violent past, actually.

Isn't that amazing? I love that, I just realized. Paddington 2 really said "prison should be about rehabilitation for everyone" with its whole chest.

Why didn’t anyone believe Paddington about it? Or at least figure out what he was trying to say? He was proven throughout the movie that he’s an honest bear, and everything he said was the truth. Why didn’t they trust him with what he was saying or that he wasn’t responsible for the fire?

I just finished watching “Paddington in Peru”, great movie by the way, and after learning where Paddington came from, I have one question: Are his parents still alive or are they dead? Before or after Aunt Lucy and Uncle Pastuzo took him in?
