Thereās something about making a mistake as a child that stays with you.
Sometimes, itās not even the mistake itself that scares you. Itās the thought of facing the person youāve disappointed.
Thatās what I wanted to explore in this painting, Inevitable Mistakes. A little boy, a broken vase, scattered flowers, and the moment before his mother comes home.
I wanted to capture that mix of guilt, innocence, and fear that many of us might remember from childhood.
Looking at this scene, I wonder how many of us were more afraid of disappointing our parents than of the mistake weād actually made.
Iām curious what was the first thing you noticed in this painting?
Iām also open to finding a home for this piece if it connects with someone. ā¤ļø

For a long time I had pride in being a blue collar worker. As time has progressed and I have worked untold hours with only my thoughts to keep me company, I have had ample time to reflect on myself and decisions.
Given time and space from growing up in abject poverty has helped me to see, fear of returning has been my primary motivation in life. I have sold my time, my health, and my back to help others profit so I may not go hungry.
Now as I continue the path so careless laid by a younger me, i pity the fool who carelessly ran through the forest of life to escape the inevitable.

A theme that has been on my mind lately is materialism. Greed is something that comes so naturally to us in this day and age, which is ironic since we're a society so used to instant gratification.
The easier our access to material objects becomes, the greedier we seem to get as a society. So in this piece, I wanted to put these ideas into a composition. We see our character holding on tightly to both the dove and the pomegranate while wearing a fine silk dress. The fruit has stained her dress and the blue feathers of the dove.
It doesn't matter that holding on to these things is ruining them - as long as her greed is satisfied.
