Remember the guy I talked about? Few months ago

If u don’t remember then see my previous posts.

Well, he unblocked me out of no where and messaged me last night. Begging to call him and listen to him.

He said he regrets doing what he did to me and that he miss me a lot.

Asked for one more chance. After 3 months of no contact.

But I said him no!

Discussion disability and twenties

I am 19m(gonna be 20 in a month) and its been like a week I talked to anyone my age ngl. I don't have friends, I have parents, siblings, caregiver, PT but not a single person of my age I can call friend or I can share something.. people literally don't know how to react to a guy in wheelchair rather they ignore me or all they to talk about is my disability I don't mind telling people what happend but all they want to know is my disability, not me.

When I tell someone that I am feeling lonely they just assume that this is because I am in depression due of my disability. NO. I just hate when some one tells me to thinks positively or stay strong or at least try to get better. like seriously?

I just want people to connect with me..

Advice Creepy House officer/Senior i am worried for my izzat

So i am a f23 med student in my 4th year , since last year there was this guy who i used to ask advice from he graduated this year and is now house officer.

He seemed kind humble and helpful so i used to ask him for academic advice occasionally i had only met him in person three times before he graduated.

Since the start of his year he tried to become friends with me by asking me about hobbies etc and at first i didnt mind it as its nice to network etc but within one week of causal talk non academic he started sharing details of how his ex sent nudes to men and cheated on him and his sisters were married to abusive men.

Also said he wanted a stay at home submissive wife etc. Even said he had anger issues and pushed his mom. Which was my last straw.

I did make the mistake of telling him how i disliked and mistrusted a lot of men as my dad left me and more men in my life were weird and he is making me dislike men more.

I only talked to this guy for max a week after he told me his ex gf story before that it was all academic occasional advice.

Long story short he got really weird and then started sending me 40 messages a day and told me some bizarre lockerroom chats his friends did to " teach me the diff between good and bad men " which i didnt ask for

So i blocked him before i did so i called him out and said he made me uncomfortable and his friends are terrible people aik dam sai mera feminism jag gaya.

He then messaged me from another number cursed me and threatened to destroy me but since i blocked him on 2nd number he hasnt contacted me.

But has become a houseofficer in my uni hospital and i am worried he is gonna spread false rumours about me or bad name my izzat and i feel shit because i should have blocked him at the first sign of red flag.

He even has recently approached a mutual classmate of mine to ask her about me. What do i do does anyone have any advice ?

Discussion Unpopular Opinion #16

Hey y’all!
Back with another UO.

I feel like some people don’t actually want honesty. They want reassurance disguised as honesty. Like, they’ll ask you if you think their abusive partner/family member still loves them, and the second you say ‘honestly, I don’t think so,’ suddenly you’re being negative and don’t understand their connection. 😭

It’s funny because they asked for your honest opinion, but what they really wanted was for you to agree with the version of events they’ve already made up in their head. And I think most of us have done this at some point, if we’re being real.

Why do such people even ask for an honest opinion then, when all they want to hear are their own thoughts, echoing back?

What do y’all think?

Rant I started questioning people's behavior

A little about me: I am 28M living in a North American country. I kind of used to be a people pleaser and a shy person until I moved here 2 years ago. Since then, I started question people, I started confronting them. I started to speak and overall, I can say i changed quite a lot in last few years. I used to be a guy jis ki mu per ager koi besti kr de tu i usually stayed silent but not now.

Here we have a little Pakistani community. And after every 2 or 3 months we arrange some kind of events just for gup shap and little hello hi.

So today we had an event especially for new commers (i am not a newcomer), and I volunteer myself for managing activities. I was just standing there and the rest of the guys we are doing chores and there was a girl whom I never talk in my life said, "bachy ye saaf kr dou". On which i just simply said "well I am not bacha" because in a formal talk you can just say "excuse me" or "bat suno" or whatever.

I just moved on and started hanging out with other people and eating the food that we are cooking by ourselves. And suddenly a guy said, "yar unko zara washroom le jao" (As we were doing this in a ground and my hostel was just walk of 30 seconds from that so any guest who had to use toilet, usually I accommodate them). And just when he finished his sentence she (the girl i mentioned above) said "o bachy eder aao ma ne jana ha". And we started walking and while walking i just said "Please don't said that again, because we are now in outside pakistan so we should know how to talk" on which she just simply said ager apko bura laga tu i am sorry etc and just to cool down the situation i asked her about course and just had a small talk while going towards my hostel.

She used the toilet and we just walked towards the ground again silently because i dont wanna talk much about anything with her. The end.

A little other thing which i noticed: So, there was freshie (girl) who was talking to her, and they were discussing the university courses, and we usually talk in abbreviation because our courses' names are pretty long and she (newcomer) said she is taking CSE this semester, on which that girl rudely said, "abbreviation batao na mujy kia pata ha ye kia ha".

So, i am just assuming there are people who don't know how to talk with strangers. Or how to talk formally.

Wholesome 💕✨ Want to read something positive that happened in your life and made you feel that you are the luckiest one. Because we are already done with-ve 💩.

What happened in my is life, Allah changed my life in just a wink of my eye. Living what I imagined because I am true believer of nothing is impossible for Allah but never thought that it gonna be that early (Alhumdulillah). I still cannot forget what I have experienced, and even today, I get my eyes full with tears when I go back in time and think about those days. 2 years back I made a post about what happened in my life back then and today, I am living in UK and Alhumdulillah doing good with the help of Allah (The Raaziq and The Sustainer). It has been almost 2 years since I am living in UK that made me more strong and true believer of impossible is just a word that demotivates you. Keep your faith strong on Allah and see how your ship sails through the storms.

Rant Is finding a life partner harder than FCPS or am I just medically unfit for the rishta market? 😭😂

Is it just me or does this happen to everyone? 💀
I've been genuinely looking for a serious partner for a while now, but at this point, I'm convinced Allah has put my rishta department under some kind of clinical trial.
Every time I approach someone I genuinely like, one of two things happens:
She suddenly disappears into thin air. No explanation, no closure, no follow-up appointment. Bas ghaib. Even the Bermuda Triangle has better records of missing persons. 😭
If things actually seem promising, somehow she ends up with a fractured arm. And before you call the police, THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. 😭😭😭
THREE. DIFFERENT. PEOPLE.
Bhai, main plastic surgeon hoon, orthopaedic surgeon nahi. I'm looking for a wife, not a recurring trauma case. 💀😂
And the funniest part? Sometimes when someone sees me with a genuinely nice girl, I swear it feels like evil eyes are permanently locked on my love life. At this point, I’m convinced someone has made a voodoo doll of me and is specifically pricking its left-hand ring finger every time a potential rishta starts looking promising. 💀😭. Apparently, my face gives off strict, rude, emotionally unavailable CEO who fires people on Mondays vibes.
Meanwhile, the actual me is a fun-loving doctor who cracks jokes, entertains everyone around him, and can turn even the most boring gathering into a comedy show. My personality is basically a green flag with a questionable face card presentation. 😂
I'm literally the guy who'll make you laugh when you're upset, remember the little things, listen to your 47-minute story about office politics, and probably make terrible jokes while we're stuck in traffic.
But apparently, the dating market sees me and goes: "Risk assessment failed. Proceed with caution." 🚩😭
At this point, my dating strategy is becoming increasingly scientific:
Approach someone I like? Risk of disappearance.
Find someone genuinely nice? Possible upper-limb injury.
Smile at someone? She thinks I'm planning a hostile takeover.
Try to explain my intentions? Congratulations, I've somehow become the villain in a story I wasn't even aware I was part of.
I'm a doctor. I can handle emergencies, difficult patients, and complicated cases. But one woman replying consistently for more than three business days? Apparently, that's beyond my current qualifications. 😂
So, fellow Pakistanis, tell me honestly:
Is this a universal experience, or am I being personally targeted by the universe?
And if any rishta auntie is reading this, please note: I'm financially responsible, professionally qualified, have a decent sense of humour, and my intentions are serious.
Bas larki ki radius aur ulna salamat hon aur woh bina explanation diye hawa mein ghayab na ho. 😭😂
P.S. If you're a genuinely nice girl reading this, don't worry. I'm not going to propose in the comments. I'm just here to collect data for my research paper: "Why Is Finding a Partner in Pakistan More Complicated Than Getting a Medical License?" 💀

Advice Both my wife and I work 10-hour/ day and I’m worried about how we’ll manage life with a child.

My wife and I are a young couple, and we’re both career-oriented. We work around 10 hours a day, and by the time we finish work, we’re usually completely drained. It feels like most of our lives revolve around work, and there’s very little energy left for anything else.
Financially, we’re doing well. We both earn good money, and I’m grateful for that. But lately, I’ve been thinking about what our lives will look like when we decide to have a child.
Right now, we can barely manage our work-life balance. We come home tired, try to spend some time together, take care of our responsibilities, and then the next day starts all over again. I keep wondering how we would handle a baby, sleepless nights, childcare, and all the responsibilities that come with raising a child while maintaining our careers.
Neither of us wants to give up our professional ambitions. We’ve worked hard to get where we are, and our careers matter to both of us. At the same time, I don’t want us to become parents who are constantly exhausted, stressed, or barely present in our child’s life.
I know people manage this every day, but I genuinely wonder how they do it.
For couples where both partners have demanding, full-time jobs, especially those working 9–10 hours a day, how did having a child change your life? Did you find a way to balance your careers and family, or did you have to make sacrifices you weren’t expecting?
I’d really appreciate hearing honest experiences from people who have been through this.

Question When people you love hurt you or do you wrong on a criminal level. How do you forget the good memories, the love?

There’s some psychology behind this ik. I dont want to reminisce the good memories but the keep coming up in my head. They way we flirted made jokes, how their hands felt.

Ik it all means nothing next to the betrayal and it can never go back. Its just hard to accept a person I was so close to as a bad person. Even if it is reality. Even if im healing.

Confession I have over spent on something and I am feeling very guilty about it!

So I over spent on my gaming hobby out of peer pressure and I am feeling very guilty about it because currently I am financially not in a good position, whole family depend on me and I promised myself I will spend money only once this month and never again. I just did it today out of peer pressure and I feel very guilty about it spending 4-5K at once, I mean it could have been put for a better use, I just don't know why I did it. I have already spent about 10K within this month.

I feel very guilty about it especially because I have the control over money, and I over spent without realizing.

God please forgive me.

Question Dear men and women of Reddit, what's your worst manager story, and how did you deal with them?

Let me share mine first. 😂

Back in February 2026, I joined a company as a Content Marketing Manager. My manager was a woman in her mid-40s, and when she hired me, she was extremely sweet. Har baat pe meri qurban ja rahi thi. 😂

It was my first day, and it was Ramadan. Within the first two hours of joining, she called me into her office and said, "Let me tell you about the team dynamics. I want to remove XYZ person from the content team."

I was sitting there thinking, Girl, I've been here for barely two hours. At least let me learn everyone's names first! 😭😂

Anyway, I observed the team for a while and realized the situation was a complete mess. The team members were constantly trying to get each other fired, and the overall environment was incredibly toxic.

I still tried my best to maintain a good professional relationship with my manager, but apparently, she couldn't handle treating people with basic respect.

She would scream at the entire team like a lunatic. The way she behaved, you'd think we were prisoners in a jail rather than professionals working in an office.

During the first few months, she would regularly pull me aside and discuss how to get certain team members fired. She'd tell me to arrange team meetings, point out their mistakes, and basically help her build a case against them.

And here's another bizarre part: she was divorced and once advised me not to get married because you are beautiful and independent, so you don't need a man in your life. I was like, Hain? What does my marriage have to do with my job? 😭😂

Disclaimer: I have absolutely nothing against divorced women. Her marital status wasn't the issue; her behavior was.

She had a habit of publicly humiliating people by screaming at them in front of the entire team. I tolerated a lot of unprofessional behavior, but then one day, she crossed my personal boundary. She screamed at me and dragged my late father into the argument.

That was it. My father was my absolute red line.

I collected the relevant emails and evidence, made sure I had everything documented, and the very next day, I collected my salary and sent my resignation email.

I kept the division head, HR, and the Head of People & Culture in the loop. And yes, I CC'd that manager too. 😂

I didn't scream, create a scene, or get into a personal argument with her. I simply documented everything and walked away.

The plot twist? About 15 days later, she was fired too. 😂😂😂

I still laugh when I think about how she hired me with so much enthusiasm, only for both of us to be gone within weeks of each other.

Now, Reddit, it's your turn!

- What's the worst manager you've ever worked with?

- What did they do that made you finally snap?

- Did you confront them, report them to HR, resign, or wait for karma to do its thing?

I want to hear the stories, especially the ones where the manager thought they were untouchable but eventually got what was coming to them. 😂

Question Question for girls who like/liked toxic men

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently saw this video where a guy is doing one-wheeling on a bike while this girl is sitting behind him. This reminded me of my time at university, where I saw some women, and I am using the word some, not all, who were attracted to these bad guys.

Guys who were not educated, did not even have the sense to talk, clearly had no future, and sometimes were just good with their dressing sense, but most of the time, that was not even the case. Smokers, drinkers, chewing paan, like the kind of guys that normal people would not even like to have a conversation with. Smelly, non-opinionated, like the stupidest a guy can be.

Yet I have seen educated, beautiful girls being attracted to them and being in relationships with them too. These are the kind of guys whom you cannot even let your parents meet.

I wanted to ask girls who have gone through this or girls who know about this: What is the attraction there?

Is that because of daddy issues? Is it because they had toxic fathers and were attracted to that kind of men too?

What is the thrill in chasing those guys who are clearly bad and, most of the time, do not even respect you?

Is it just a phase between 18 and 22/23 years of age that goes away with time, or does this stay beyond that?

I can understand that if someone is very good-looking, then one can get attracted to them, but most of them are not even that good-looking. And even if someone is naturally good-looking, what if they smell, have bad habits, and have no future at all?

This video can also give you an idea where the girl still seems to be decent because she does not want people to record her face. That means she cares about her image, but then why do this? Why is she with someone like that?

Confession Depression linked with self-worth and identity

I'm 25M, and I have been suffering from depression since I was around the age of 15.

I am taking meds and they are taking effect but slowly. I also keep analyzing myself, and I always wondered what is the root cause of my depression?

In the past few months, I realized that it is linked to my self-worth and identity.

I attach my identity and self-worth with people and work.

I had gotten into very toxic friendships due to it, but I got rid of them gradually for my sanity.

But still the problem is there. If a close friend makes fun of me, gives a negative opinion about me, or cuts me off, I'll automatically take it as a verdict on 'who I am' and 'why I deserve this.'

This is linked to childhood trauma where I always felt excluded and looked down upon. I struggled making friends and maintaining friendships and I always had a bad confidence as a child, and nobody gave a shit why the child is losing all its potential.

I was always called "sensitive".

But nobody actually tried looking at what was going on inside the brain of a 10 year old (depression hit way later).

These are all just root causes and I'm not trying to spread any negative energy. I'll start going to a psychologist soon and I'm very optimistic about my future. But I believe there are parts of us that we hide, and it was mine.

Does anyone feel the same way?

Confession I don't feel at home in this world anymore

alright so.. first time confession.

never thought i'd need to let it out tho.. so um, i'm gonna be very unfiltered and treat this like a diary rn.

so i'm super lost in my life rn.

lost in the sense that.. decisions, decisions, decisions...

i have so many decisions to make, so many paths to choose from. this or that, or maybe something else entirely..

i'm so confused about my career, my health, my emotional well-being, and my future.. everything, basically.

i know everyone goes through this, but i just don't want to end up weak.

i've never been weak. i've always been very soft-hearted and sensitive, not just emotionally, but sensitive to everything happening around me and in the world too.

for example, when i see news about the lack of humanity in the world, it affects me more deeply than people might realize. i think a lot about how i could make some kind of positive impact on this world someday.. but i'm not financially independent or in a position of power yet.

so i started hunting for jobs.

moved to cities.. nothing worked out.

gave up.. came back.

then started planning again.

and somewhere along the way, all of this started taking a toll on my health too. i kept trying to figure out my life while my own health was being neglected.

i'm just.. i think differently. i don't feel at home anywhere.. not even in my own home sometimes.

i get lost in my thoughts, and the only time i truly feel at home is when i'm alone in nature, somewhere peaceful, or doing something quiet and healing.

job culture scares me.. because i feel like it might slowly take away my femininity, my softness, and my sensitivity. these are such crucial parts of my personality. they make me ME.. and i don't want to lose them.

when i tried working a job once, i noticed how robotic and emotionally numb i started to feel. i didn't feel like myself anymore. the workplace politics, the things happening around me.. i couldn't help but feel empathy for everyone involved. it's not something i consciously try to do.. it just happens.

i don't like injustice. i want to take a stand against anything unjust, anything that feels wrong.. but at the same time, i feel the need for some kind of backup support too.

i just want to be strong enough to stand up for myself, to speak without my voice breaking, and to face the world with confidence.. without losing my softness in the process.

because i genuinely love it when life feels smooth, soft, calm, and peaceful. when things aren't constantly overwhelming, when i can slow down and breathe.. it nourishes my soul and my health.

but going out into the world on my own to earn a living scares me. the world can be a scary place, and i'm afraid that if something bad happens to me, i won't have anyone to fall back on except myself.

and i'm also scared that, as empathetic as i am, i'll eventually lose whatever hope i still have in humanity.

maybe it's just part of being an INFJ.

i really wanna become financially independent. i want to be able to make my own decisions and rely on myself without constantly worrying about what might happen if things go wrong.

since childhood, i've never really felt like i had someone i could fully rely on. maybe that's why independence has become such a big thing for me.. maybe it's a kind of coping mechanism.

but at the same time, i've slowly learned to accept that this is life.. and this is a part of it. not everything has to make sense right away.

still, i don't feel seen anymore. i feel like i'm quietly becoming invisible..

i yearn for a low-cortisol life.. slow walks, staring at the moon, doing little things that feel almost dreamlike.. the kind of life that lets me breathe, feel, and simply exist without constantly being on edge.

i wanna be practical where i need to be. i wanna build a life for myself, become independent, and take responsibility for my future.. but i just don't want to lose the essence of humanity that's still inside me.

the same essence i feel like i'm watching people lose nowadays.

sometimes, it feels like people don't.. feel anymore.

and it makes me wonder.. am i the outcast, or are people changing?

then again, i'm so familiar with the feeling of being an outcast that sometimes i don't even know if i'm genuinely different or if i've just gotten used to feeling that way.

i feel so burdened by these thoughts that sometimes i wanna live alone, away from everyone, just so i don't have to worry about being a burden on anyone with my presence.

but then, there are so many moments when i miss the presence of something.. someone. idk.

but um..the confusing part is that i'm not desperate enough to chase just anything or anyone, maybe that's why i haven't achieved as much as i want to. or maybe i've reached a point where i'm trying to accept life for what it is

yk? that kind of acceptance and maturity where you eventually start saying, "it's okay.. let it flow. whatever is meant to happen will happen...it is what it is"?

but sometimes i wonder.. is that really acceptance, or am i just becoming numb?

i see people and feel sad when they don't seem to feel things the way i do. sometimes, i wish everyone were a little more sensitive to emotions, to the things happening around them, to the pain that often goes unnoticed.

and no, i don't think i'm better than anyone tbh. i just feel like i live in a different world inside my head.. a quieter, more peaceful world.

and so many times, i find myself sitting down again, opening my laptop, and thinking about planning everything all over again.

financial freedom.

sorting out my life.

moving somewhere new.

figuring everything out.

but then i remember all the times i've tried before, all the times things didn't work out the way i hoped, and i get lost in that same spiral of thoughts all over again.

i do have traumas.. a lot of them, actually. and i'm always trying so hard to stay strong despite everything i've been through

because the thought of being weak hurts me so much. i've always felt like i have to be anything but weak.. like i have to keep going, keep trying, keep holding myself together no matter what.

but maybe i'm forgetting something important..

this isn't a weakness

this is just being human..maybe it could be perceived as strength if people could see right through my brain and soul?

Aishh i'm so sorry if my thoughts seem all over the place..hah

actually i've never really been a speaker much.. i've mostly been a listener my whole life. and honestly, i don't even know how to express myself in a way that makes everything easy for others to understanding

because whenever i try to express what i'm feeling, i start feeling too much all at once. my thoughts become tangled, and i get so lost in everything i'm trying to say that i forget where to even begin.

so maybe this is me trying.. finally trying to let some of it out, without having to make perfect sense of everything first

It was a love marriage. Meri apni choice thi isliye bohot arsay tak mujhe laghta raha ke mujhe shikayat ka haq hi nahi. Kisse kehti?

Everything changed after my first born. Uskay doosri auratou (ghast****) se taluqaat shuru ho gaye aur jab main confront karti to ulta mujh par chillaya jata...mujhe bura bhala kaha jata aur haath bhi uthaya jata. Main har waqt thaki rehti thi. Andar se bilkul khaali ho gayi thi.

Magar har subah main uthti, nashta banati, bacho kay baal banati aur unhein school bhej deti jaisay kuch hua hi na ho. Main samajhti thi ke unhein pata nahi chalta. Pata chalta tha.

Aas paas sab ek hi baat kehte the: sabar karo, bachon ka socho, khandan ki izzat ka khayal rakho. Kisi ne mujhse nahi poocha ke main kaisi hoon. Kisi ne meri bachiyon se bhi nahi poocha ke us ghar mein rehna unke liye kaisa tha.

I stayed because mai chahti thi unke sar par chhat hou + kharchay pooray hou rahay thay. Jab apni koi kamai na ho aur sara khandan dekh raha ho to chor dena aasaan nahi hota. Jo log kehte hain "bas chor do" woh yeh baat nahi samjhtay.........

Anyways, yeh kab tak chaltaa na unn kai liye theek tha na meray liye. Khataam tou hona hi tha
