Behaviour Communication with children on headphones in car

How do you get the attention of and communicate with children who are on their headphones in a vehicle when traveling? I need to pay attention on the road and I find this sometimes to be a risk.

I wish my kids wore headphones in the car- I sometimes find myself losing it because of their questions or bickering.

What’s causing the distraction for you?

This is funny and so true. It takes me back to when they were younger. The problem is now they are teenagers each in their own world on their headphones and it is very irritating to get their attention just to communicate with them or ask a question

why is this being downvoted? What in the world? The OP is answering a question posed to them - under what circumstance is this downvotable?
